I asked someone to do this so now it looks like I'll have to learn how to do it myself. I want to port this over to get it working in SE (just the dante and possibly yamato skins. I don't really care about the other stuff) . A tutorial on how to do this would be nice thank you. |

quickie tutorial: get arctool, .bats for DMC4 and 4SE unpack the associated .arcs for both games, convert the .tex files from the one you want into .dds files and resize them to the proper amount (usually 2x size for SE stuff iirc. just convert both and check just to be sure) biggest thing is dealing with normal maps, which i have no idea how to really convert- i've a thread on how to save in the proper files but the normal maps are in different formats for 4 vs. SE so i just kinda guesstimated the conversion by flipping the red and green channels- it doesn't really work properly (i think? hard to tell for me) but at the very least it doesn't end up in a garbled mess http://s1.zetaboards.com/InfernalWorks/topic/5932554/1/ it's a long, pretty annoying process and i still don't know how normal maps work so i'm basically the worst person to actually be writing this haha as for 4 vs. 4se effects i've no idea as i haven't tried to bring any over Edited by tab, Jan 18 2016, 09:32 AM.

the colour codes in dmc4 SE is normal whilst dmc4 had inverted colour codes apparantly so bringing them over wont work |
