I used both. Windows' cmd.exe opens the command line, then DMC4-KEYDEBUG.exe. If you simply double click DMC4-KEYDEBUG.exe like a usual GUI program, the blank screen is standard input waiting for a line of text which is what would've been in a text file. You don't seem familiar with this, but in case you don't know, if you type in only the first (few) letter(s) of a file and hit tab, it will auto-complete. |

Sadly yes i don't use cmd much. But ill explain how im trying to do this in order if it'll help. I start up the DMC4_KEY2DEBUG.exe Then basically I press the Enter key and it'll show some text (no errors) and it'll say its waiting for the DMC4.exe Finally I start up the DMC4 executable (the Debug executable) and press CRTL+F2 with no avail. Edit: I dont know if this changes anything but im using Window 8.1 and my DMC4 is a CD Disk copy. I didnt download it or nothing Edited by AntiClimax, May 19 2015, 05:57 AM.

Windows 8 should be fine. CD disk version doesn't matter, as long as you have Debug Mode installed it's fine. 1.) Start up Cmd in your directory 2.) Have this as your input line
This is assuming your text file is tagged properly. 3.) Open up the game. It does not do anything because you didn't give it the name of DMC4. Therefore, it does not know which process to attach to and CTRL+F2 in your session does nothing. Edited by Hydris, May 19 2015, 06:26 AM.

Your config looks fine. There's tags like ProgramDX10= ... or ProgramDX9= ... So the program can tell the difference between DX10 and DX9 versions of Debug executables. |

Everytime i input the DMC4-KEYDEBUG.exe < yourconfig.txt in my cmd and press Enter it keeps saying "The system cannot find the file specified." if i press tab i hear the windows sound and nothing happens.

That's because yours probably has a "-2" before the file extension. You don't literally have DMC4-KEYDEBUG.exe, you likely have DMC4-KEYDEBUG-2.exe, etc. |

For the file extension is it the folder where the keydebug executable is? or is the keydebug executable itself? Edit: Also i do this in the cmd.exe correct? Not the DMC4 KEYDEBUG.exe? Edited by AntiClimax, May 19 2015, 06:58 AM.

You seem to be confused.
Windows is saying you don't have "DMC4-KEYDEBUG.exe". Which is likely true. You very likely have the file "DMC4-KEYDEBUG-2.exe" instead so replace "DMC4-KEYDEBUG.exe". These are file extensions: .exe, .txt, .docx, .pdf, .sh, .avi. I was describing what your executable is probably named. Edited by Hydris, May 19 2015, 07:11 AM.
