Could anyone help with modding the Bloody Palace? I'm trying to figure out how to change monsters for each stage. Right now I have a stage 1 with x1 Blitz, x2 Frosts. (From the Anima Dante Z3R0M4NC3R ver.) I was wondering if I can change it so I can have x3 Arm Scarecrows for training purposes... I'd replace the entire st705 file with the original file, but the mod by Z3R0M4NC3R has a really nice modified background that I'd like to keep. Anyone have any ideas on how to change the monsters, or change the background of the original st705 file to have the same background as the Z3R0M4NC3R version? I've tried opening the st705 file with a hex editor, but I can't understand the majority of what it's doing... If there's any information you need in order to help me just let me know. Here's the link to the Anima Dante Z3R0M4NC3R ver. just in case you want to install the mod and look at Bloody Palace to see what I'm referencing. Anima Dante: Z3R0M4NC3R ver. This Anima Dante Version is not my mod. This version is Z3R0M4NC3R's mod, but Anima Dante is Infernal Design's...all rights go to their respective owners...just a precaution... |

I've actually tried doing that and it does work. Ok, it does work with Spoiler AL, but for some reason I can't get it to work with the Debug Mode Patch at the same time. Apparently the Debug Mode Patch has a separate Devil May Cry 4 (DX9) file in order to make the Debug Mode Patch work. I think the reason why Spoiler AL isn't working with the Debug Mode Patch is because the Spoiler AL is directed to my original Devil May Cry 4 (DX9).exe file and not the Debug Mode Patch Devil May Cry 4.exe file that came with the patch. Basically, I wanna know how to change Spoiler AL to direct to my Debug Mode Devil May Cry 4.exe file... I hope that made sense. There are duplicate file executable names that I mentioned and I tried to distinguish that each one is from Spoiler AL or Debug Mode. If you need the Debug Mode Patch to understand what I'm talking about I've posted a link to it at the end of this reply. Here's an image of the Spoiler AL as a visual aid just in case you know how to direct to a different Devil May Cry 4.exe file & have trouble explaining it. Alright I've just downloaded your dmc4dx9.ssl (& your pl023 just for the hell of it). I'm going to follow your tutorial after I get home because I don't have a controller with me & I'm going to be studying for a math test... I'll try it with the debug mod to see if it works for me & hopefully it will. I appreciate the help. |

If it's not ridiculously late to answer; This explains the bulk of what's going on http://s1.zetaboards.com/InfernalWorks/single/?p=355787&t=4131014 Open up emset705.pla in a hex editor; When you have 2 Frosts and a Blitz on the first stage of Bloody Palace, the first instance of A3 21 88 63 (Frost) will be the Frost on the first stage, same with 23 1B 4C 1B being Blitz. If you want a Scarecrow (Arm) you replace the former ones (A3 21 88 63, 23 1B 4C 1B) with 10 B4 A5 6C (which is the code for the Scarecrow). SpoilerAL is more convenient though, but I can't seem to use it with DX10 or Debug executables. |
