Dug this from the HA archive. It's the original "file ID" thread. Yes I realize there's now two .pac file ID threads, but this one has extra stuff so it's gonna stay that way until someone has the time to merge them.

Weapon effects: Export and extract static_effect.pac and then extract static_effect_001.pac which extracts a bunch of files, textures and sub folders.

static_effect_001_237.tm2 = Zodiac, I think. static_effect_001_238.tm2 = A&R fire effect when you hit an enemy weak against them. static_effect_001_241.tm2 = Nevan lightnings. static_effect_001_244.tm2 = Orb static_effect_001_247.tm2 = More Nevan lightnings.
Subfolders that have textures I recognized:

static_effect_001_262 = DTE's stripe patterns. No color. static_effect_001_274 = Air Hike glyph. No color. static_effect_001_296 = Ice damage effect that shows up when you hit an enemy weak against Cerberus.
Right when you open GData, there's a texture called i001_90.tm2 which is a template of PS2 button icons.
Bunch of object textures in st000.pac. Some of these are textures from Dante's office like his chair, the doors, windows, the guitars, amplifiers, booze bottles (Jack Daniel's!), the jukebox, the phone, the aligator skin on the wall, Eva's picture... etc.
Million Stab's effect and other Rebellion effects. When you extract sword2.pac there's two more pacs inside, but only the first has any textures.
