Ok, I uninstalled DMC3 after my screwup here: http://s1.zetaboards.com/InfernalWorks/topic/4188038/1/ Then I reset my computer, install the game again, run it, and again, the same problem, can't play as Dante, and the mod I installed on Vergil is still working, so what should I do? Delete Everything in the CAPCOM folder in C: then uninstall, restart pc, install again? I deleted the modded GData, and I reverted all the mods installed on Dante's pl0** files in the original. I'm out of ideas. |

I have the back up, but even that doesn't work I'm thinking of deleting everything as I said, uninstall and then try to see if that fixes it. But I'll wait to see if somebody's got any idea on what I should try. |

You'd probably have done by now if you'd tried it when you thought of it ![]() There might just be a folder or something that doesn't get uninstalled because it's no longer read from the uninstall thing since modding, and it just keeps reading that and crashing. I wouldn't be surprised if, for example, every unpacked file in dmc4 were still remaining after all because of not being told to uninstall those files as they wouldn't normally be there without modding. Of course this is dmc3 we're talking about, outside of the dmc3 area btw, but that might be whats happening. I think that deleting everything then reinstalling should work. How come you are hesitating about it? Because of mods you still have? One of the mods are most likely what cause it. The one you were messing with before it got buggy. Least time isn't an issue for you eh, if it was you'd have tried by now. I probably would have attempted it by now. But with backups, it should work. Not sure why the backup isn't fixing it. Small chance deleting all then installing won't work though. Edited by 7foot_sativa, Mar 22 2011, 04:01 AM.

So like, should I delete everything like the pacs I have inside the PACtools folder too? amd porbably a file the HexEditor added in my desktop. Wait a minute. -EDIT- I deleted that file just in case but it didn't work. Still can't play as Dante. If this reaches page 3 and nobody adds any more info on the subject I'm gonna delete absolutely everything in my PC DMC3 related. Even the save file. Edited by Jin, Mar 22 2011, 04:20 PM.

Nope, that didn't work either, and now I can't play with vergil cuz I deleted the save -.- It might be the GData I have in my Backup folder, I'll check if the game is loading that one instead of the one it should. |

In which directory you have the game? If it's Program Files, then maybe you should try to reinstall the game to some other directory...

What's the purple freak's most common problem? So many clothing shops and not even one has purple in them xP Trust me - It's not funny, it's downright annoying -_-''' When and wherever the world forgets about purple, I don't ![]() FlairDarkSlayer - フレアダークスレイヤー YouTube Twitch SoundCloud | |

Its in Program Files(x86), I'll try installing it in the other Program Files folder, the regular one. -Edit- Ok I got a little impatient and deleted everything before reinstalling, and installed the game in Program files, not Program files(x64) which is where I did the first times, and I tested it out and now it works again Yay! Feel free to close the thread, thanks for the tips and info everybody. Edited by Jin, Mar 22 2011, 08:55 PM.
