Since you're new, you might not be aware of the knowledge base. You can find the knowledge base on the top of each dmc category. From there you can learn different tutorials. Start with the model swapping and texture's. Noesis will be helpful too, since it lets you view things outside of the game. If you have debug mode, that also helps, which you can find in there aswell.

That's where most of us learned our modding, if you have trouble just ask questions that haven't already been answered multiple times, or send someone a message like me or someone else that's helpful. Those ones I mentioned will teach you the things I first learned when there wasn't a lot of topics in knowledge base, and they seem like the main basics that are most commonly used for me.

There isn't really a trimming tutorial here, but you can find it on the site the trimming tool came from. If you learn the things I mentioned and this, you will be able to do almost exactly what I can do. Scaling is also another thing that's easy to use and learn too. Just recommending some topics, since that area has some topics which are just lists of gathered info.

Welcome to Infernal Works ^^

But, you're the strongest, if you have sandwich within yourself.

The model swapping area and maybe some of the textures area will definitely teach him how to use them though.

Model Swap Tutorial and Texture Importing are the most important ones if you want to launch any Non-TexMod Mods.
And if you want to create something cool on your own, also Texture Importing and File Identification Threads will be very helpful.

Btw, welcome to IW :)

What's the purple freak's most common problem?
So many clothing shops and not even one has purple in them xP

Trust me - It's not funny, it's downright annoying -_-'''

When and wherever the world forgets about purple, I don't :P

If the mod doesn't have any instructions, then maybe you should try opening the "nativePC\model\game" folder and see what MOD files are included in the mod. Then you need to invalidate them from the arc files. And that's explained in the model swap tutorial.
Some of the mods have an ARC file included, or a patch that patches the original file. If that's the case, you won't need to invalidate anything. Just extract the mod in your DMC4 folder.

It may seem a little complicated, but when you get more experience you'll be fine.
Maybe you should follow the tutorial, so you can learn the basics and practice. Just don't forget to make backup and you'll be fine.
