Hi, kinda having problems here... I installed everything fine, got only a black screen on startup(nothing else, no loading, no animation), the only thing I can do is ctrl+F1(I don't have joypad), but otherwise I'm clueless... I had a few other mods installed, got rid of them back to clean install, still getting black screen on debug mode(normal .exe works fine). Any help, please? |

Use The Devilmaycry4dx9.exe not the debugdevilmaycry but be sure to have installed the patch and the Ctrl+F1 Is System Menu Edited by Lelouch22229, May 8 2011, 12:58 PM.

If I use the original .exe, the game runs just fine, but without the debug/system menu(I know which is which, still, it's something new for me to mess around with)... And the readme (and common sense) clearly states to run DebugDevilMayCry4_DX*.exe, cannot see how it would help running original .exe since the patch didn't change anything within the original files... Dunno what I'm missing here

Black screens are normally caused by some extra files the game needs not being where they should be. Did you make sure to overwrite the folders as per the instrunctions? |

Yeah, I did everything as was written in readme... It didn't ask me for permission for overwriting anything, though(I'm using Total Commander) |

Well it should have, mate. Overwrite the DevilMayCry4\nativePC folder with the one that comes in the patch. |

Alrighty... Did everything again via explorer.exe, allowing for overwriting folders and files(which were not overwritten at all, so I kinda don't see why that matters)... Anyway, same results, no loading at all, just black screen |
