The winds swept the grounds quite ominously...or, at least, that's what Guardium imagined. The field seemed endless, with only grass as the ground's cover. Parma stood by Guardium's side, staring passively at what would become their battlefield, even if they didn't quite know it just yet. They stood atop one of the two pillars the were the only signs of variance among the large expanse of land. Easily three stories high and about 5 meters in diameter, the two stone columns stood about two-hundred meters from each other, and from this distance, Guardium thought he could make out a figure on the one that opposed him. The shining sun gleamed off of Parma's dark armor, the dark steel some ungodly abomination brought forth from the bowels of this....whatever this place was, and crafted into the pieces of protective plating that seemed to almost mold and bond to her very skin. She was easily one of the most protected being ever brought into existence by Guardium's imagination, though if that protection was from how he imagined her armor, or how he cared for her in a way one shouldn't care for their thoughts it wasn't certain. What was certain was that the thick metal was unlike that found anywhere in the waking world, and was easily stronger, lighter, smoother, and much more beautiful than anything else. Guardium, however, was slightly less protected than Parma. And by slightly it is, of course meant greatly. With nothing more than what could pass for pants and a 'tunic' of sorts, Guardium wore next to nothing to protect himself, other than the wielding of a dual-bladed scythe which he more commonly used as an instrument of parrying rather than attack. He shook his head slightly, and looked over the Parma. His beloved. She was as much as part of Guardium as his hand or foot, and was one of the only reasons he wasn't as easy as a fly to kill. He nodded to himself in a manner of self-comforting. It was eerie, to be here. To care so much for this being that was with him, not knowing how exactly she came to be by your side, but knowing without a shadow of a doubt that she was yours. Not in the martial sense, but in the literal sense. She was a part of Guardium, and it scared him, almost. And the lack of memories. That, too, left him in the dark...even out here, in this beautiful field, with nobody but him and Parma.... and that figure. |
