We have joined forces with GRIGORI Group from Central Illinois to cover more territory, share members and equipment. Illinois is split up into 7 sections. Alton Illinois is supposed to be one of the most haunted locations in the U.S. Chicago boasts many haunted locations also. http://www.enjoyillinois.com Illinois also boasts some of the best haunted cemeteries as well as buildings. We have Bachelors Grove, Resurrection Mary , GreenwoodCemetery IVP has done a variety of investigations from cemeteries to campgrounds to homes and parks. We are all volunteers and do not charge for anything. I personally also try to help out with research with other groups. I have a wide collection of links for various places and am always looking for more. If you ever plan on visiting Illinois IVP and GRIGORI Group would be more than happy to set up an investigation for you. |

As of November 2008 IVP has joined forces with GRIGORI Group also of Illinois and a member here. Both groups have been doing joint investigations since the start of IVP. I have very little free time anymore to run a group and did not want it to dissolve. We have worked it out with Jeremy from GRIGORI and he is taking in most of IVP including myself. I now have a little more time to devote to IPI and any research that is needed. |

Hi Eric & Ryan, My name is April and I have created my own paranormal investigation group recently. I am located in Joliet IL and my team are my family members for now. I have worked with two other groups in the chicagoland area but decided for personal reasons to start my own research group. Is there any advice that you can give me in regard to starting a paranormal research group? Any advice would be wonderful. I know there are many reasons people start these groups, mine is more personal then recreation. I have always had an interest in the unknown since being a child but I also like most have had many experiences with the unknown. My group so far has four which all family; my daughter, son, my ex-husband and myself. I don't know if we will be taking on any new investigators for a while since I would like to have more documented experience in the field before opening the doors wide open for others to join. So for now I decided to create a name for our group which is: Unexplained Apparitions Research Society or UARS for short and I have a website: http://unexplainedapparitionsresearchsociety.webs.com/ and our is email is: uars@sbcglobal.net I decided to use a free website source for the moment until we truly go live. Right now my website will be more for information purpose for the general public and other investigators.
