Interview with Monkeyshine about 'Lynith: Echos'![]() DJScias: Hello Monkeyshine, I like to interview you about your project 'Lynith: Echos'. What was your goal? Monkeyshine: Well, my whole goal for this map was to bring back the old SWBF1 Ren-var look, feel, and assets back into BF2 DJScias: Could you explain the term Ren-Var more? I never played Swbf1 before. Monkeyshine: Ren-var was an Ice planet in BF1, it featured Roman architecture, which always intrigued me (statues ect.) DJScias: But what do you do about the fact people say "Ohh no.. another ice planet... there's nothing to see there." or are you going to make you're planet a bit more interesting? Monkeyshine: Lynith is more of a city map, not many wide open areas (besides for the park) DJScias: So you're map will feature much different buildings? Because making a city with all same buildings... That is going to be another hard thing to build on, isn't it? Monkeyshine: The assets I'm using are from the two original Renvar maps, which where two of the biggest in BF1. I have an almost unlimited supply of new buildings DJScias: Ok so, what would you like to put in next to make the map complete? Monkeyshine: Well, there are several things, besides for reskinning the CIS with snow camo (Awsome!), I also wanted to put in a snow speeder of sorts (Not the rebels one but a custom one in the CW era) Monkeyshine: to fly around the buildings DJScias: Ok, this means we can expect a full new map, with alot of extras I hope. Monkeyshine: You can count on it DJ. DJScias: Thank you for you're time Monkeyshine, and good luck with you're project. Monkeyshine: Thanks *S* Interviewing Monkeyshine was really interesting. You'll hear more from me. Most likely when we have more mods out. Sincerly DJScias Edited by DJScias, Mar 14 2009, 06:43 AM.
