This is the races guide, listing the races' pros and cons. These do not essentially limit the race choice, but any other races will be limited. If you have one you would like added feel free to submit it

NOTE: This list is in alphabetical order

Race: Bokoblin
Race Description: The Bokoblins are small and have bat-like faces. They have short legs, and lanky arms. They usually have blue skin, but green, or purple are also fairly common.
Pros/Cons: Clever, and capable of using most weapons, but smaller than most and generally cannot swim.

History: Bokoblins are a henchman race of Hyrule, and are often employed by various evildoers to perform their dirty work. Little is known about Bokoblin society, except that they are connected to Moblins, and tend to associate themselves with them.

Race: Deku Scrubs
Race Description: Deku Scrubs live in both Hyrule and Termina, and are the plant people.
Pros/cons: Deku Scrubs can manipulate the age of plants, making them wither and die or go back into a seed, or anything in between. Deku scrubs die instantly when they touch any fire, and are so light that they can skip across the water. With the use of a Deku Flower, Scrubs can actually glide for a time.

History: Deku Scrubs are an odd race, ranging from salesmen to minor annoyances. In Hyrule they are mostly (if not only) found in the Lost Woods. It is said there is a small colony of them deep in the woods.

Race: Gerudo
Race Description: Gerudo are both the bandits of the desert and the pirates of the sea.
Pros/Cons: Gerudo are agile and stealthy, and good at thievery, but there are only female Gerudo.
Posted Image
History: Most Gerudo live in the Gerudo Desert in western Hyrule, acting as a member of the Thieving Community. Indeed, every Gerudo in Hyrule is trained as a thief and assassin, some opting to also study magic. Almost all Gerudo are women; men are born only once every 100 years. They often end up mating with Hylian or Human males, the resulting child being either a Gerudo or a particularly attractive Hylian/Human.
NOTE: Gerudo are considered a branch of the Hylian race, and thus have about the same physical capabilities. Their different pros and cons are due to their culture.

Race: Goron
Race Description: Gorons are bulky, tan-skinned creatures that have skin as hard as rock, and live in Death Mountain and on Snowhead.
Pros/Cons: Gorons are extremely strong and are invulnerable to many melee attacks and fire, but are weak against water. They can roll up into balls and roll around.
Posted Image
History: Many consider the Gorons to be rather lacking in intelligence and grace. In reality, they are actually quite smart, and are simply laid back. They enjoy the simple pleasures of life, and rarely feel threatened by those around them. Gorons have a great sense of brotherhood with each other and their friends, to the point where gender is nearly indistinguishable. (In Goron culture, "Brother" is an honorific title that does not vary with gender.)

Race: Hylian/Terminan
Race Description: Hylians are the most numerous of all the inhabitants of Hyrule, and are basically humans with pointy ears. Terminans are the same as Hylians, but live in Termina.
Pros/cons: Hylians are the most balanced race. There are no major pros or cons.
Posted Image
History: Said to be the first race to establish civilized society in Hyrule, one could call Hylians the dominant race of the land. They are said to be "closest to the gods", their long ears supposedly acting so they may hear the calls of the divine. Though being somewhat separate species, the terms for Hylian and Human are often interchanged. Indeed, the two are quite similar, and are categorized under the same name in the RPG.

Race: Kokiri
Race Description: Kokiri are children, that never grow old. Their father is the Deku Tree, their home the Lost Woods.
Pros/cons: Kokiri are fairly quick and nimble, but lack in physical strength. They are naive, being children and all, but they each have a guardian fairy that prevents them making bad choices.
Posted Image
History: Literally the "children of the forest", the Kokiri are creations of the Great Deku Tree. They never age, and never die. Thus, a Kokiri that seems to be a child could be hundreds of years old! It is common superstition among the Kokiri that to leave the forest is to die. Even after the Great Deku Tree sapling admitted that this was a simple story, to keep them within the tree's realm of protection, many Kokiri are still afraid of the outside w
orld. All Kokiri resemble Hylian children.

Race: Lizalfos
Race Description: Lizalfos, Dinalfos, and even the great Komodolfo and Tyranolfo (not selectable), are part of the "Olfo" category of races. Lizalfos are man-sized reptilian humanoids.
Pros/Cons: Weak against cold temperatures, but can withstand extremely high temperatures. Quick and agile.
Posted Image
History: Lead by the great Komodolfo in the quest for a new homeland, Lizalfos usually attack most trespassers. They have drifted apart from their larger cousins, the Dinalfos.

Race: Moblin
Race Description: Big, pig-like creatures.
Pros/cons: Strong, but stupid.
Posted Image
History: Moblins are the thug/henchman race of Hyrule, and are often employed by various evildoers to perform their dirty work. Most Moblins live high in the mountains, and the largest concentration of them live in a great stronghold fortress. Little is known about Moblin society, save that nearly all Moblins are trained as expert warriors. They currently have a peace treaty with Hyrule.

Race: Watarara
Race Description: Big humanoid birds with a unique, migrating culture.
Pros/cons: Young can't fly, but they can get up to 10 feet (that's the limit for this RP) from tail to beak.
Posted Image
History: The Watarara are large birds that migrate biannually. One of their migrations brings them around Hyrule's southern end. Some of them stay, whether forced or of their own will.

Race: Zola
Race Description: Zola are reminiscent of the Creature of the Black Lagoon, with vertical fins on the sides of their face.
Pros/cons: Like Zora, Zola are weak against ice, but Zola use a weak fireball-spitting attack. They can go through any body of water instantly be creating whirlpool currents.
Posted Image
History: Rude, barbaric and uncouth, Zola have a history of terrorizing travellers in Hyrule. They are brutal and vicious, always preferring to start a fight rather than talk. They have no real social structure, more often than not opting to tear at each other when two or more meet. They have been responsible for the deaths of many in Hyrule. They mostly dwell in the depths of Lake Hylia, never coming out until darkness falls over the region.

Race: Zora
Race Description: Zora live in the aptly named Zora's Domain, serving as the protectors of Hyrule's central water source. They are proud creatures who can swim to great depths, though Hyrule's mostly dry topography prevents them from using this skill often.
Pros/Cons: Agile in the water and can breathe underwater, but are weak against fire and ice.
Posted Image
History: The Zora are "fish people," (though it is quite rude to call them that) who have always protected the source of the Zora River. Though made for water, they can run quickly above water.

Misc.: Any race not mentioned here, including Garo and others are still usable

The above post may contain high levels of sarcasm, irony, and other literary devices, including but not limited to alliteration, foreshadowing, suspense, and, of course, stupidity.
