Character Sheet Name: Kaleb Sestora (Sess-tor-uh)

Race: Rito

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Class: Elementalist (Water)

Split Class: Alchemist (New Version)

Goddess: Nayru

Starting Location: 1/4 mile away from Great Bay Coast, but begins just south of Clock Town's southern border, Termina

Guild: Forest of Peace and Destruction

Dungeon Items: Boomerang, Fire Enchantment, Zora Tunic, Comm. Shell, Longshot

Armor and Weapons: Kaleb's weapon of choice is a small sword. The hilt and the lower part of the blade are the same length. As you look up the sword, it starts to curve, and at the end, the tip is facing a 90 degree angle. This is allowed for extra aerodynamics. It was also a major messup while Kaleb tried to smith a sword. But he still liked it, so he kept it as a weapon. One side begins to slant, making the edge sharp. The slanted area is slightly darker than the bright, sleek look of the top of the blade. The handle is made of metal as well, except it is wrapped securely with leather. The handle is 5" long. The blade is about 2' long and 1.5 mm thick. It's meant for quick attacks.

The only other weapon he has is a pair of wool, fingerless gloves. Due to his elemental prowess, he needs to wear them at all times to control the instincts he gets struck with at the ODDEST moments..

The gloves themselves are woven similar to a briar fashion. Kinda like this:
-----------

The wool is black in color, and can stretch to an extent. Atop the gloves, a flat, gold medallion, holding fast to a just-as-flat sapphire on each. These sapphires are meant to hold the power over water that Kaleb must posess, though he has doubts they do anything at all.

Techniques/Spells/Alchemies: Prowess (Water Element)

Appearance: CLICKY

Personality: Kaleb is somewhat goofy and immature. He likes having fun, and blowing off his duties. But that isn't to say he can't be serious if the need arises. He's kindhearted around friends, and very sociable around parties. He's the guy you'd expect to be talking to your girlfriend without knowing so.

In battle, Kaleb doesn't run. He stands his ground, and isn't afraid to risk his feathered hide to save someone else. He usually tries to psyche out his opponent, sometimes even play mind games with them. He uses this tactic because he's not that cut out for a one-on-one strength match. When he's with a partner in a battle, he's not afraid to take charge.

That's not to say he doesn't get scared, though. Due to an incident when he was eight, he had always been superstitious of dark corners, mainly due to rumors that ghosts were said to haunt them. He had no problem with them up until that time. Yet he still doesn't fear the usual stuff, such as snakes, blood, gore, etc. Oddly, he never had that problem, while most other Rito did.

Back Story:

It happened around...twelve years. The time when he got that mark on his right hand. That time when his whole life changed forever.

It was warm, especially for a summer night. Kaleb had flown far. Down all the way to Great Bay Coast. His friends had told him about a special light, that could be seen just before dusk. But you had to be at the exact angle to actually see it. Kaleb had prayed that he was at the right angle. He sat atop the Lakeside Laboratory, bobbing his head left and right to a song he had got stuck in his head.

"I fell down, to a burning ring of fire..." He quietly sang to himself. The sun made his feathers gleam, and the water reflected off the steel lab. Far in the distance, he could hear the Clock Tower chiming six times. It was time. Kaleb began to tense up, for this was what he had sat up here all day for. A cloud began to drift lazily across the sky. The sun began to shine brighter. It kept getting brighter until it was too much for Kaleb. He covered his eyes. This must have been it. He walked a bit closer to the edge.

But it was too close. He tumbled off the lab and into the murky depths below, desperately trying to swim to the surface. But he was spinning around so much he had no idea which way was up. He was just about to give up, and let his breath go, when he noticed a glowing light. He looked around to see where it was coming from, when he noticed it was his right hand. A mark was burning itself onto his hand. But strangely, he didn't feel any searing pain. The light dimmed, and Kaleb found himself at shore. He lay in the sand, drying himself off for around twenty minutes. The sun continued to shine, but it wasn't as bright as it was.

"At least I can tell the guys about this." He thought aloud. Kaleb seemed to smile under his beak.

That night, Kaleb tossed and turned in his sleep. He was obviously having a nightmare. His sister, sleeping across from him, was smiling and cuddling her stuffed Korok.

In Kaleb's dream, he was still tumbling in the water. HE tried to swim upward, but the water seemed to pull him down. His hand glowed again. He spun around like a top, rather choicelessly (Is that a word?). A cyclone appeared beneath him. As it turned around and up, Kaleb turned with it. It got more vigorous as it reaches the surface. By the time it broke, it was a miniature hurricane. Kaleb's eyes were glowing a light blue.

That's when he woke up.

Kaleb hopped out of his bed, threw on his clothes and looked outside. It was about nine-ish. He hurried downstairs and sat at the table, eager to finally get a warm meal in his stomach. He hadn't eaten since lunchtime yesterday.

"Wow, Kaleb. You look like a wreck. Someone turn off your alarm again?" His sister, Olivia, joked.

"No. Besides, what's an alarm?" Kaleb said, rather smugly. He was in an irritable mood, mostly because of raging hunger. The plate was neatly placed with bacon and egg sandwiches. Kaleb shrugged. At least they were hot. He snuck one from the plate and passed it to Olivia. Strangely, he ate slowly, which was odd, since he usually wolfed down his breakfast and bombed out the door.

"Kaleb, is something wrong?" His mother asked. Kaleb shook his head.

"You sure?"

"Yeah mom, I'm fine." Kaleb said, forcing a smile. He took a sip of water from a small, fat glass. The milkman still hadn't come today. Kaleb looked outside, past his mother's head. It was Saturday. The one day he could goof off. He grabbed his backpack, which had his sketching tools inside, and took it off the rack. It rocked the shelf above, and unbeknownst to Kaleb, his father's prized Dodongo tusk had fallen in with it. He headed out to Great Bay..

Kaleb stood knee deep in the water, trying to replicate what he did in the dream. He brought his hands up as if worshipping Valoo, but it was to no avail. He waved his hand as if to say, 'Whatever.'

The water dripped. He stopped and turned around. The ripples still showed. Kaleb slowly brought his hands up, and a small ball of water floated up from the great drink. He smirked. Maybe he could get the hang of this.

Since then, he has spent four years in Termina, attempting to hone his skills, and maybe make some money in the process. And he hoped to return to his family in Great Bay before his days become short.
