Nice herd. Here the river deer hold theirs only until late December early January, but the bucks that stay out in the flatter turf areas hold sometimes until March. I think its terrain/coyote chases/nutrient availabiliy. The snow is deeper in the valleys so they get run down faster in the river zones. Thats my take on it anyway. |
