Hey guys,

I know people stealing trail camera's is a common thing, so how do you try to avoid this? I learnt the hard way to not put the camera on a bait pile as someone stole mine this past week. ssscc I'm thinking of putting a trail cam, on a trail cam to catch the bastards next time!

Stick one up high pointing down at the camera off a ladder, I have done that before and put a "sacrificial" cheap camera in hopes to catch the culprit, however the person did not return, lucky for them as they would not like what I would do to them.....

I had another one stolen this year as well, it sucks for sure.

Good Luck

Sky Point has some good stuff. One Camera keeps another storage unit a few hundred feet away to keep the pics. Also they have some they can send to your cell the pics that camera took or is taking. Just some useful info.
Im getting a couple this summer for a few spots.

Sorry for your lose, the putting them high is what l do and not real close to the bait pile, you can try one of those bear boxes and lag bolt it to the tree.it sucks but it happens.
If it's got fur, feathers or scales it's in trouble

That really sucks.I lost one last year too. I have so many people crawling around on most of the spots that I hunt on that I just take them down at peak times like turkey season and the controlled hunts.I know I'm missing out on a lot of good pictures but at least some D- bag isn't stealing my camera either.

I caught the piece of shit!!! It was my dad... He's always telling me someone will steal it and thought it'd be funny to take it on me. I guess the good thing is I got the cam back, bad thing is, something destroyed my bait pile and left nothing to spare while the cam was gone!

Glad you got it back,

I right now have to be quiet but none would believe what happened to me while I was gone. The story will come out but the OPP's are on it right now as we speak. All I have to say Is Don't post that you are going away.........

a guy i know from erieau was watching a big buck last year that was about 400 yds. away. he got down from his tree stand to put a stock on and was gone about 45 min. without any luck on the stock. he came back to his stand and it along with his back pack and trail cam were all gone.man he was fit to be tied and still gets upset about it. someone must have been watching him when he left.
