Adrian, you are being winded.
That buck has you figured out.

5 game cams, are you serious???? Do want this guy at the end of your arrow or to get more pictures of him.

Every time you check these cams you are leaving a ton of your scent in his livingroom.
Every time he walks by a cam, he hears the shutter going off. That's why so many pictures are taken of deer actually looking at the camera.

Buddy, you are over-scouting and over-thinking this buck.

Pull your cams out, is my advice. Why?? Because this will take away the temptation to change data cards and/or see what's on them!

Hunt with a buddy.............yes, but don't try to push this buck.
He's likely been pushed numerous times this season already.

Have your buddy drop you off on his way to his hunting area.
Close the vehicle door so quietly you can barely hear it yourself, you know the rest.

You bring up some interesting points my friend. Now the area he was in I had 6 game cams all across the propery yearly season and I got him narrowed down to one area and its close to a food plot he's using. I pulled the cam's and moved them to the food plot area to find out where is is coming and going and at what times. Most pic's he never looks at the camera, but the one I did post because its on a trail pointed up the trail and close enough that he is leaving the property and or coming back in.

I drive in past the stand in question all season long and now I have stopped and I am walking in. I have to agree he has to wind me a lot but he also has to be used of me because I can pull the card one day and two hours later he's standing in front of the camera eating. I spend so much time in this area its unreal but I can not get to this stand without walking with the north west wind blowing most times right to the bedding location. I have cut back in checking cards in the past two weeks in hopes to have him want to feed.

I'm at it right now as we speak and its getting that time so I need to sign off and get ready !

Thanks guys...

Adrian, sorry if I sounded too critical but if it helps you to get that buck then I am okay with that.

A number of years ago I had a nice buck I was chasing.
Not as nice as yours but he was the dominant buck in the bush I was hunting.
The buck in question was scouting me.
I caught him watching me on more than one occassion.

I set up a new stand location and called him in the first time I hunted it.
The wind was right and he should have circled in to the call.
I looked over my shoulder and there he was watching me, I know because we locked eyes
Right then I knew it was over and he was gone in a flash.

Dominant bucks and that is what you are hunting do not tolerate intrusion.
He will never accept you just like he will not accept another buck.
A lesser buck would show himself because he is always on the move as he cannot maintain ownership of any real estate.
The big boy will often sit tight and let you walk right by and then slip away without a sound.

Bucks like the one you are chasing are never easy.
Good luck my friend.

Adrian it sounds to me that you need to say a little prayer and talk to Mother nature and get her to give you that favorable wind you need.Lots of luck.
