seen this today while walking around after putting out more apples for this weekends bow hunt. Our camp is off a no maintainence road thats why theres a telephone pole.

It wasn't real deep but you could see tine marks almost on the other side of the pole so its a decent buck none the less. The 50lbs of apples I put out last weekend were completely gone and I raked all the leafs away around it and theres deer tracks, no coon tracks so it should be good!!

got a trail cam on it now about 12 yards away and pretty well hidden so it shouldn't spook any deer.

Yep we had one that was rubbing the same hydro pole every year. We opted to let him go, let him die of old age since nobody ever saw him. The pole hasnt been rubbed for about 3 years now.

Be interesting to see what shows up.
I have seen rubs on cedar fence posts before.
Keep us posted and good luck!!
Preserve wildlife --- use a vacuum sealer --- and freezer

Nester

One pig of a deer to rub a pole that size
