Last week my crew got two button bucks and a six pointer. It was a slow start though, the button bucks were shot on thursday and the six pointer on sunday morning. The bummer of it all is I didn't get to shoot any of them. Another guy in our three man crew shot them all. Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes. Just finished all the butchering last night and loaded the freezer with meat. I'll post some pics of the six pointer soon. Can't wait till next year!

We were able to use this all week and let me tell you, what a life saver. We were able to drive into a ravine, load up the six pointer and drive back out again.

Well, my wife made venison stew tonight and it was amazing! Way better then beef, not chewy at all! I remember a piece of venison I had years ago that was from an old buck from way up north, very tough and gammy tasting. This deer isn't anything like that stuff was. I have a feeling my freezer will empty quickly!
