gooder

I ended my season on a high this morning just before 6:30am. This guy gave me the runaround a couple times. Called him off the roost only to have him go around me through the deep point I had my Double Bull postioned on the tip of. He came to 60y slow and then ran off a couple jakes. Instead of coming back he crossed the deep gully behind me and out the other side. 2 hens came into the lone hen decoy which brought him up the opposite side of the point. He met the second hen 20y behind/beside the blind with no shot through the crap. I slowly closed the front of the blind and opened the side window. The he started to go out in the field and cleared the crap. I waited with bow in hand for the big guy to clear. When he did i quickly ranged him at 21y and quickly came to full draw and smoked him in full strut. Unfortunately my 'cameraman's' and my schedule didn't fit today, although it would have if I'd have known it would happen early. Harvesting this bird is a satisfying way to end my season which was full of some highs and some very low lows. The lows are another story but it has been a long and eventful season. This is my biggest archery bird. Good luck to everyone still hunting, there is still some great hunting right to the end of the season!!!

20.6lbs
10 1/4in beard
1 5/16 right spur
1 3/16 left spur
