This was one of the days I grabbed the camera instead of my rifle. Now when the video starts you will hear just the end of a shot, thats my buddies little brother in front of me that took the first shot when the dog just ran out of the bush. I didnt have the camera rolling yet because i wasnt expecting it to come out so soon. It spots us sitting there and heads due west towards my buddy posted about 150yds from us. He lets it get about 60yds before he takes a crack with the 22-250. The dog is slightly quartering too him...

After the dog crosses the ditch my buddy rolls him AGAIN and the dog keeps running!!! We tracked it for over an hour but came up empty handed. Never feels good to lose an animal but we did our best to try and recover it.

Very tight quarter for shooting, good video. Was there any blood to the trail?

Ya there was good blood for about a mile to the next bush then when it got in there thats when it began to thin out and became very difficult to fallow.

I really thought I had that guy.. the shooting was tight I let him come right to me and felt great about that first shot, I had to let him run by my brother and then clear the camara man before I got another crack and then when I rolled um again on the other side of that ditch I expected to find it laying right where I last seen it! but what can ya do, they are extremly tough and my luck will hopefully change and my 3-0 track record for this year will improve. All and all our group did pretty good for the amount that we could get out and im already pumped for the next time we get out chasing them buggers.
