Well this is a first for me. I never thought I would run into this out here.
We had a good run a couple weeks ago that ended up bad..
We were driving around a block trying to locate the dogs.
Well more like pick up the dogs.
I have a Garmin tracking system and knew were the dogs were.
A lady running out her driveway waving her arms confirmed it.
Yelling that our Beagles had a poor coyote trapped behind her barn.
As it turns out it was not even her barn but the typical citiot that moves out to the country buys a corner lot and thinks they own evey piece of bush it attaches too.
We stopped the truck just as we saw the Coyote make a break for it.
Into a sumac chunk next to this ladies house.
She was yelling at us to get our dogs off the property and leave the poor coyote alone. WTF
I was not there when this took place and was behind the barn as the coyote came around the corner with three Walkers in hot pursuit..
It got under on old combine skirt and one dog had it by the ribs while the other two had it by the neck. I was just getting ready to put the hammer down when My bud came around the corner and said Hey don't fing shoot or were done. !!
What?
This lady was extremely pissed and no way in hell she wanted the coyote shot..
Wow that was close or I am sure the cops would be involved.
So I grabbed the coyote by the feet and hauled it out of the skirt with two dogs still pulling hard on the head.
Gary ran and got a leash around the coyotes Neck. Then we proceeded to get the dogs pulled off. Now we had one pissed coyote between me and Gary. Oh what to do as we did not want to just let him go with our leash on his neck. So Gary finally got the coy pinned with his boot on it's neck while I got the leash off. We then let the Coyote go if you can imagine that..
I wish these idiots would move back to the city.. ssscc

That's one heck of an outing. Unfortunately this is going to get more and more common, We once had a drunk lady knock on my door and tell my wife that there is no reason for me to kill innocent animals (geese) when I can just go to the grocery store and by meat like everyone else. Like a chicken has no feelings come on,lol.

This type of idiot cannot be rehabilitated unless they see their pets eaten in front of them.

She would likely think the half eaten fawns were the result of your blood thirsty dogs.

Some kinds of stupid are born that way and will die that way!!

Trouble with this is she will be the type that goes to a council meeting and make them feel like they have to do something. Seen it in Amherstburg with Geese dropping out of the sky and load banging noises upsetting young children. Ended up having all the bylaws changed for discharge firearms.

We have the second worst Mayor in Canada and he used to be the President of a local club, he was little help if any to the cause of hunting rights.

you know, we run hounds in a area with a lot of houses near by. We've yet to have the dogs catch a coyote in someones backyard but been very close. KNOCK ON WOOD X10000

its going to happen someday, and I'm already gritting my teeth. It's not going to be fun. In situations like that I always try to run up to the lady and try to calm her down while the other guys kill the coyote (to stop the hounds) and get the dogs loaded up ASAP.

once I had a lady come out yelling and screaming with the phone in her hand said she called the cops and us blood thirsty lunitics are going to jail over this (she watched our hounds chase the coyote across the back of the neighbours field a couple times). I was very polite and gave her a big sob story of how that coyote just took down a calf and was eating it alive and that cost us $1000 and how we are trying to remove the coyotes that are killing livestock so they don't teach their young the same thing ( WE LEAVE THE GOOD COYOTES ALONE THOUGH funn )

by the end of it she shook my hand and said "you guys are the nicest bunch of hunters I've ever came across" I turned around trying to keep the smirk off my face as I got back in the truck.
