Its a really annoying thing when something bothers you when you are deer hunting. It was opening morning and i had been on my stand for about an hour when I saw a nice young buck drifting towards the mineral lick and I figured he would be an easy shot however something spooked him . I couldnt figure out what was going on until a nice fat bear strolled up the trail from the opposite way at about 35 yards. Well I didnt care for him spooking that deer so I removed him from the general population . A lightfield 3inch slug hit him right behind the ear and he only went one way -down and he didnt move. The final weight on him was 283 and he was about 2 years old by my figuring. A corn fed bear sure tastes good. |
