Well it took the second day in the stand but I got the job done.
I creeped up to my stand this afternoon at 3:30 knowing this would be the final evening for me til probably Sunday or Monday.I had a empty plastic pop bottle in my pocket in case I needed to have a whiz .I get to the top of the stand and the pop bottle falls out of my pocket and clings against the stand on the way down to the ground.I thought well this is a great start.Im guessing not 20 mins go by and all of a sudden I see movement to my left and there he was just came out and took a seat with the nose in the air.He then slowly moved into the bush out of sight for approx 10 mins when I seen him again.I kinda knew then he might be headed to my barrell for that dogfood that I had dumped on the ground in the morning just out in front of the barrell.I seen him then start to slowly make is way into the barrell and my heart was coming out of my chest.I know he wasnt a big bear but he or she didnt seem to have any cubs.He made is way into the barrell and when he decided to give me that proper shot I wanted I took it as he was slightly quartering away from me.The shot was no more than 15 yards and he ran another 15 yards and yes here came the death moan.
The boar was 180 Lbs give or take a pound or two.
First one for me and its a hunt I will look forward to every year!
The picture isnt the greatest but Im one happy bear hunter!

Thanks alot everyone!
It was everything that people told me it would be!
I just cant beleive how those bears just creep around like a cat. This guy never made a sound coming to the barrell and I watched him walk right in to it.He didnt even break a branch. So slick I thought to myself.
I still have my baits going as I have a couple of friends that might be interested in trying to get one!
Hopefully my baits reveal more bears!
The death moan was just something else as it went on for im guessing 30-40 seconds with 5 or 6 big moans and it was great that I made a good shot as I had no tracking and watched him fall! :D
I cant wait for next year!
If I aint out a shootin deer,Im home drinkin beer!
