l'm thinking there would be some speed lose,if the limbs are already camoed there are other ways of dampening the noise.if less noise is all you want to you should talk to Boo he has ways of doing it.
If it's got fur, feathers or scales it's in trouble

Definitely something I need to get. When going through thick bush it would make things a lot quieter.

Do you do a lot of still hunting with your crossbow? If not you probably aren't going to benefit too much with limb covers.

I shoot an Excalibur. The noisiest parts, I find, are the stock and the foot stirrup. I can't stand the noise of the foot stirrup. So many moons ago I got some pipe foam and duck tape, and wrapped my foot stirrup. My buddy soon followed suit. As far as I have seen we are the only ones to do this, but it helps and is an easy fix. The tape has held up for 7 years now.

Here's a pic of what my foot stirrup looks like.

A pic of my rig. Featuring a "groundpounder" mount. And custom bolts.

Only if I wear my steel-toe pack boots. But even then I can get my foot in the stirrup.

The foam and tape don't add much size, but the noise difference is night and day. Especially if you have to cock your crossbow while on stand.

I shoot an Excalibur as well.
I bought an exomag just before the name changes. (200 lb. limbs)

Thanks for the noise tip. I just happen to have some camo tape for the job!
Insulating the stirrup makes sense!! tty
