Yorkshin is the city that never sleeps walking outside the venue the daily happenings of city life are like clockwork constantly on the move. Walking along the streets with fancy suits Krunch had his hands in his pocket and walked with a brisk pace he was antsy for a stiff drink "I hope it's not crowded right now sometimes it could get busy." Krunch then removed his left arm from his pocket and looked at forearm to his nonexistent wristwatch for added effect. Removing both arms from his pockets he placed his hands behind his head and walked along twisting his body to stretch his back out before settling and kept his arms up behind his head. The duo came to a crosswalk waited for the go-ahead to cross the busy road "Say Yamato why are you interested in Greed Island don't tell me you like video games I feel like having fun isn't your thing you seem strictly business." the light signaling for pedestrians to cross flashed and the mob around the duo started walking. Going with the crowd Krunch started to observe all the flashing lights and glamour of the city thoroughly enjoying his walk to the bar. After a few more blocks of silent walking, Krunch and co made it to a very dinky looking rundown building compared to the other surrounding it in what looked like a small little town hidden underneath all these skyscrapers around it. "Ladies first." Krunch held open the door for Yamato and promptly followed him in. The inside looked like a normal place nothing unusual it actually seemed like a convenience store if anything an older looking gentlemen was sitting behind the counter reading the paper with a cigarette hanging out his mouth. Upon closer inspection, you could see the man had fallen into a deep slumber and it seemed wrong to wake him. Using hand gestures Krunch pointed into a corner of the store and walked over to a door that had the sign say Employee's only and slowly turned the doorknob not to make any noise and walked through it leading down a small dinky staircase. Hitting the bottom of the case revealed a hallway that led to another door this time with a much larger man standing in front playing with his phone "What's up teddy workin all night again? the man didn't even look up from his phone simply stepped aside to leave room for the pair to step aside to which Krunch passed by opening the door to let in the most heavenly smell of pizza one could ever smell with the deep smell of tomato sauce and mozzarella ever. The interior revealed a quaint and cozy dive bar with a simple pool table a few barstools walls littered with sport's memorabilia and other trinkets. Two tv's were playing one was a a live baseball game and another was the 76 world series a few people were inside drinking and talking watching the game some even had empty plates greasy paper plates. Going to the bar Krunch pulled up a stool and tapped his hands on the bar "Pitcher of beer and some pizza I am buying?" Krunch wondered if Yamato would actually have a drink he bet with Munch he's the type to never take a drink. |

As Yamato followed Krunch, he kept a watchful eye on him. He didn't quite trust his intentions, especially his friendly approach. When the subject of why he wanted to go to Greed Island came up, he responded with, "There's something I need from there, it's rather...personal." after that he would ignore most of his harmless provocations, slipping through the crowds of pedestrians until reaching the rundown building. <"Is he looking for a fight?"> Yamato would think to himself, after Krunch's "Ladies first" remark. As Yamato continued to follow Krunch, his gaze couldn't help but wander around the foreign territory. As the reached a sort of check-point, Krunch informally greeted the man, which didn't exactly put Yamato at ease. Suddenly as they passed, a waft of delicious pizzas and seasonings filled his nostrils. Unfortunately, with a face mask such as Yamato's, it slightly dulled his sense of smell. The atmosphere of the bar was rather welcoming for being in such a dingy location. As the pair took their seats at the bar, Yamato simply shook his head at any offers of food or drink. He knew better to accept offers like that in an underground bar, let alone one that Krunch appeared to frequent. "I need to get ahold of that game and I assume you have the same provocation? How about we come to a sensible deal, where we both can get ahold of that game?" Yamato would ignore the rest of the patrons and/or bartender, his gaze focused solely on Krunch. The young assassin was clearly serious, he needed this game, for whatever reason. |

Krunch saw the assassin decline the food and grinned as he left his tall drink and pizza aside meanwhile Krunch delightfully enjoyed his cold glass and and took a bite of his pizza with immense pleasure and stretched the cheese out as he pulled it out. "Only business huh?" Krunch took another swig getting a foam, mustache "Personal reason's yah right you don't need to fib, but we are seeking the same thing so cooperation would increase our odds of getting it." taking another pause biting into his pizza giving himself time to chew. "We missed one of the easier times to get it now the game's gonna go back into obscurity." Krunch already pretty much got halfway down the pitcher by himself of the deep colored amber draft. "I don't currently have any leads other than this I mean generally speaking I would just take one if I knew someone would have it. But that's just one way to go about it I haven't looked at the hunter site in a while maybe something appeared." Krunch still steals stuff on occasion but prefers to avoid high profile regular people cause if the hunter association found out it was him they would put up a fuss about it but he does know a few treasure hunter's who do steal and they don't get in trouble most of the time. Signalling the barkeep for more Pizza and Beer Krunch rubbed his eye's and groaned "You think blockbuster would still have it?" |

Annoyed by the situation he was thrust in by the circumstances, Yamato kept a side eye on the surrounding area as Krunch stuffed himself. "Blockbuster? I'm not exactly one for jokes, but I suppose the first place to stop would be that old geezer at the auction house." Gently scrapping his left index fingernail along the mahogany counter, Yamato let out a sigh. <"He's strong, yet the fact he doesn't see me as any sort of threat is what pisses me off the most about this..."> Thinking to himself for awhile, Yamato finally gave in, "I'll take a hamburger." After that, the man bringing Krunch's food gave him a knowing nod as he returned to the kitchen. "Killing the old man would be a foolish endeavor, so we need to convince him to give us the game somehow, or at the very least use it. Do you have any other suggestions? " Yamato attempted to put on the facade of relaxation, however, he was progressively skeptical as time went on. When the greasy meal was placed in front of him, the intoxicating scent of grilled beef and spices flooded his nostrils. I guess a bite wouldn't hurt? Removing the facemask from his mouth, Yamato grabbed the hamburger with his off-hand as he'd take a bite, awaiting a response. Yamato needed to get to Greed Island, if not for the mission, for his own personal development. Thoughts of fighting Krunch raced through his mind, how would he kill the glutton? Cut off his tongue, burn him alive, or have him rot away... These were simply fleeting thoughts as he took note of the bountiful aura that surrounded him, <"I guess the latter would be too risky."> Maybe Yamato will try to find a way to kill Krunch or maybe he'll use what knowledge he gains from their encounter to do the deed at a later date, only time will tell. |

Getting his second round Krunch raised a eyebrow "Old man? you lost me who are talking about? Killing come on we are hunter's who would say anything and it's not like you aren't already breaking taboo still performing your old job." Krunch wondered who Yamato was referring too 'We could just steal the damn thing or ask nicely this man but it would be helpful to know who we are dealing with first though. If he attended the auction his name should be up on the hunter site you have a phone? Just look it up right now I don't carry one on me if not let's go to a computer cafe or something to use it. Krunch drank his beer and took a bite of his pizza amazed that Yamato actually ate something "Wow did your human dot exe kick in hahaha I was starting to think you were all business." Krunch already finished the glass he ordered signaled for another and more pizza as he was about to finish his right now. "Oh wait we have not had the ritual for the deal." Krunch then made another signal to the barkeep and she brought out beer for Krunch as well as a dark bottle with two glasses Krunch opened the bottle and took a sniff and winced a bit "Oof burned a hole in my brain smelling that." Krunch poured the deep dark red liquid into the two glasses and raised one up sliding the other to Yamato "We never did celebrate our first romp together and now we have to bless this one or else we would be cursed cheers." |

"Did you not pay any attention at all to who the winning bidder of the Greed Island auction was?" clasping the bridge of his nose for a moment, he let the frustrating situation pass on by. "Some old geezer named Mr.Ruthford won the auction, so that makes him our only lead. The sooner we can get our hands on it, the better." Yamato listened to what Krunch had to say, taking his words into consideration as he replied with, "It has nothing to do with the morality of the situation, a man that rich is bound to have a plethora of security, so killing him would just be unnecessary work. While I'm not particularly against stealing it, we'd need more people than just the two of us. If you have any sources that could get us more information on this Mr.Ruthford and I do my own research, we might be able to do it." Running his fingers through his pale white hair, Yamato glared at Krunch when he referenced some sort of ritual. Yamato was in no hurry to join some delusional cult, nor did he want to have any ties or obligations to Krunch after their exchange was over. "Ritual, I'm not that interested in something like-" and as he spoke, the man brought forth two pungent dark bottles of a deep dark red liquid. It didn't smell like blood, however, the scent of a fermented fruit had assaulted his senses. <"Disgusting..."> he thought to himself. This kid had no interest in alcohol, let alone one that reeked. The boy used Gyo to inspect the drink, he was still somewhat reserved about accepting 'gifts'. Raising his left palm, he rejected the barkeeps' offer as he took a stand, "Cursed? I wouldn't want it any other way." and with that, he'd attempt to leave the building, "I'll be at the central plaza by dawn, we can continue our conversation then..." |

Krunch watch his partner walk away without finishing his meal and left Krunch with the tab something he would mention at dawn the next day but before that Krunch left around 40 minutes after with a happy belly full of beer and pizza making his way to a little dinky motel he is renting out a little way's out from the downtown yorkshin in the more reclusive side. Luckily in the lobby of the motel, they had two computers available for guest to use Krunch pulled up the beaten up chair and looked at the vintage yellowing keyboard as well the worn out mouse and started his research well initially he ugold his name but immediately got sidetracked by the endless pit of more interesting stuff on the web such as funny viral videos emails and things his friends sent him business opportunities for him and other such stuff. After about an hour of dicking around online, Krunch looked around the dinky lobby and could see no one was around and probably won't come around anytime soon. Shuffling into his pockets Krunch pulled out a metallic looking capsule and a packet of cigarettes and plopped them on the desk. Popping open the metallic container Krunch took a deep whiff of the contents inside and coughed a bit before dumping the deep blue nugget onto the table using his fingers he broke the nugget up into little flakes and pushed it aside as he grabbed the cigarette and carefully ran his fingers up and down gently applying pressure to loosen up the tobacco leaves inside. Pushing out some of the leaves Krunch then very carefully started scooping some of the flakes inside making a blend of leaves. But in fact the blue substance Krunch is pushing down the cigarette is an amalgamation of powerful psychoactive of a certain kind of fungus Krunch had come across on his journeys and with help from some friends in the chemistry and botany field have cross-bred with simple cannabis to create this new found science project he called blue comet all the hallucinogenic effects he could ask for with a calming warm tide of relaxation ensuring you don't go into a deep dark hole of the brain. Finally stuffing the flakes inside with a little pile on the side to spare for more Krunch stretched his body out and cracked his fingers getting ready for the task ahead of finding out details of this Mr.Ruthford. Putting the cigarette to his mouth and lighting it with a tiny nen flame on his fingertip since he forgot a lighter he took a couple light drags and immediately felt it smack like a pound of bricks to his brain. The next thing he knew Krunch had a pile of documents in front of him the pile next to him gone and changed to a graveyard of butts all around him. It was about 5 am and Krunch rubbed his eye's and looked through the documents he had before him trying to make sense of it all. The pile had a full rundown of Mr.Ruthford and his life as well as his many business deals and lesser-known business deals. Ranging from tech to pharmaceuticals a couple clothing brands some pet foods a single chocolate company but the most profound was that the man was into banking and co-owned a Private military contractor with another wealthy businessman Mr.Kator and this company was hard to find going under the name Zero Hands it seems Mr.Ruthford went to great lengths to hide his involvement with this one and finding out specific contracts this PMC has done is a closely guarded. Nothing else of real note Krunch could find in the pile that screamed useful but again he did just quickly skim over it to see what he got.. Logging out of the computer Krunch quickly took the pile to his room and had a quick shower and bathroom break changing his clothes and getting ready to meet his partner on the spot. Krunch knew he was already late as the sun is well past the horizon and seeing dawn was a while ago now Krunch rushed over to the spot dressed in gray sweatpants simple black sneakers and a black tank top with a logo on it of a barbell on it with the words in bold LUNK HEAD GYM Making it to the spot Krunch could feel yamatos rage emanating in the air around as he walked over to the fountain in the middle |

Yamato had a throbbing headache after that interaction, why did he blindly walk into that situation? He figured he be better off himself, and finally took some time to relax in his hotel room. Before going to sleep, Yamato lightly brushed the air with his index finger and muttered the words, "Pocket: Visible Mode". Above the now laying down Yamato, a black spherical orb seemingly formed out from nowhere. Lightly muttering incoherent words to it, a dial tone emanated from it. "Oh my, it's an honor...should I take a call from Death as an ill omen?" the unknown masculine voice had a deep and unsettling rumble to it, however, still remained youthful. "I just need information..." Yamato's voice was rasp and void of energy as he spoke. "Oh! You sound a bit tired, are you getting plenty of rest?" At these words, Yamato couldn't help but roll his eyes. "As if...but that's beside the point. I need Intel on some old guy named Mr. Ruthford in York Shin. I need it for my job on Greed Island." After a short pause the unknown voice spoke up, "Oh, the one the wired bitch requested? HaHa...sure thing, but it'll cost you this time..." With a sigh, Yamato responded with, "There's never been a time it hasn't cost me, what do you want?" After a short pause, the voice responded with "Hmmm....send me Abigails number and it's a deal." Witha neutral expression, Yamato said, "Don't you already have it?"A slight chuckle preceded the voice's response, "Ahh, no. She changed it and told me to never call again..." In a snappy tone, Yamato said, "Whatever, sure." Exhaling, as if out of relief, the other voice said, "Then it's a deal! I'll send you the information soon." As those last words emanated from the small black sphere, the connection went silent. Lightly wrapping his fingers around the orb, Yamato swiftly jabbed his right hand through it. What one would expect could cause the object to be destroyed, instead, took the full length of Yamato's arm as he seemed to rummage around for something. <"Ahh, here it is..."> he thought to himself, just before pulling out his Hunter's License. For a solid three minutes, Yamato stared blankly at the identification card, seemingly as he pondered on the idea of what being a real Hunter would truly feel like. After that the orb pulsated as lines of information scrolled along it, relaying the information Yamato had requested. With a slight grin, the young assassin tossed his license back into the orb's storage and lightly tapped out Abigail's number on a rounded keypad that formed along the orb. With that, he finally said the words, "Pocket: Invisible Mode". The orb seemed to fade into nothingness as Yamato rested his head on the worn pillow. When morning rolled around, Yamato naturally got ready and arrived at the designated location on time, with full intentions of getting any information the Hunter had to offer. As time passed, Yamato couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed at the late arrival, which only grew as the hour passed. He was done, Yamato had no intentions of waiting on this man like he was on a date. After the first hour of the no-show, Yamato strayed from the meeting point, but rather focused on gathering more information. When Krunch would finally make it to the meeting point, he'd quickly realize the emotion he had felt was not Yamato's rage, but instead that of a woman who was not far off from their meeting point, her eyes shooting daggers at the couples that walked along the street as she waited on a public city bench, waiting for her own date to arrive. As for Yamato at this time, he had found himself at a crowded arcade shop, the most famous one in York Shin City. At the front, Yamato could just barely make out the words hanging from a banner... Gaming Contest: Win a Greed Island Console! This was the break Yamato had been looking for, even though the console itself would not be enough to play the game, it was a step in the right direction. Now all he needed to do...was to win whatever this "game" was. Had Krunch gone on a search himself, he'd eventually find himself at the same establishment, but any sign of Yamato from the outside would be non-existent, as he'd already have found a way inside. |
