Coming out of Auction hall with a wooden crate in hand Krunch let out a sigh going to a waiting area that was pretty secluded on the other side of the hall Krunch sat down at the Telephone chair and placed his crate on the floor. Krunch let lose his bow tie with his finger giving some more slack around his neck he felt out of place with this attire on it he never did enjoy dressing proper feels like he is in a straight jacket to him and he is pretty familiar with those. Removing the top off the wooden crate revealed several very old looking wine bottles as well as a couple fancy dishes as well as a very well decorated wooden mug. All the contents of the box in total come to a total of 8.2 Billion Jenni Krunch forgot to save the money he was going to spend on greed island but he saw all this other cool stuff first he for to do the math to make sure he had enough in the first place. Krunch had brought about 20 Billion but got carried away with the other stuff that he only left himself with around 12 Billion and was outbid pretty quickly by others. Krunch didn't want to wait till next auction to get a copy "IF" a copy was even going to be sold next year. Krunch sighed a bit and opened one of the 400-year-old bottles and drank a swig and simply gave a "Could have done with some more aging..." Krunch was disappointed in these bottles but what did he expect he has bought ones like these before and has all come to the same conclusion that they could be aged way more. Krunch will never forget the time has tried a 1000-year-old spirit even when it was just a drop it still feels like the taste lingers in the spot of his tongue that it dropped. It kinda makes 400 years not ripe enough by no means is it a bad wine it just could be better Krunch gave another swig and chugged half the bottle before pouring the other half in King Tobars Mug a king who ruled his kingdom drunk his entire reign all the way up to his execution with only a 94 day rule for being a poor leader. It was said at his execution he was drinking from his mug and when the time came for the beheading he left his glass half full saying he was saving it for later. Swishing the wine in the mug Krunch brought it to his nose for a smell trying to see its accents before taking little sips. Krunch then tossed the bottle into a nearby trashcan like a basketball making a swish noise at it went right in the hole all the way on the other side of the room. Watching the wine spin in the mug Krunch thought out loud "Now how do I get that stupid game now." |

After being sent out on an assignment in York Shin, Yamato was eventually sent a text message from one of the higher-ups. *Your next target is going to take much longer to reach by conventional means, therefore we require that you locate a copy of the legendary game Greed Island, we can fund the purchase, however, locating it will not be quite as easy.* With that message, Yamato couldn't help but struggle to remember what exactly this Greed Island was famous for. Without much else to go on, he figured the best place to start would be the large Auction Hall within the city. As he made his way over to the building, he'd play a few phone games during the walk. Upon entering the Auction Hall, he watched as various men and women in luxurious clothing flooded the halls. Just about five minutes of being inside the building, he was approached one of the staff members, "Hey kid, I think you're lost..." he looked Yamato up and down, observing his low-quality attire. Yamato couldn't help but anticipate killing this old fart, but he suppressed his urges as he replied with, "I'm in the right place, and I'm looking to buy." and with that Yamato flashed his Hunter's Card, causing the man to do a double-take. "Oh, a kid of your age in the Hunter's Association? My apologies, I will direct you to the main hall." With a nod, Yamato followed the man, with passersby giving Yamato an uneasy glance because regardless of his placement within the Hunter's Association, his clothes did not meet the event. Upon reaching the auction hall, his eyes wandered about, seeing the massive the theatre, with a man talking through a microphone on stage, "Now presenting you, an antique wine box, rumored to have fermented several centuries, the starting bid is 8,200,000,000 Jenni!" Yamato found the atmosphere to be rather obnoxious as several people stood holding white handheld-placards. The older staff member informed Yamato to take a seat where available, and not wanting to deal with too many people, he sat in the far back row, alongside other undesirables. From a distance, he could see Krunch eagerly place the bid, a bid that no one else competed against. To Yamato's disappointment, by the time it came to it, there were no offers for Greed Island. With that, Yamato left the Auction House prior to when most people stood up. <"Well, that was a waste of time"> he'd think to himself. As he walked outside the building he'd bump into a man holding a mug with extremely valuable wine. This was likely one of the worlds freak incidents, as Yamato looked up to the obstacle, he had full intentions of killing this man had he not been the one to apologize, however on closer inspection it was Krunch, someone he clearly knew outclassed him.[/color] Edited by Abraxas, Apr 30 2018, 01:37 PM.

Watching the wine spin around Krunch bumped into someone and looked up not at all phased by the bloodlust coming out the aura around him remained tempered and calm as it bubbled around him. Krunch did notice his own aura stretch out and try to grab some of the other aura to which he quickly suppressed the action as he thought to himself [That's becoming more and more frequent I wonder what it is?] Then looking at the person in front of him he giggled a bit as he knew the man in front of him and spoke to him "Almost made me spill my drink and you seem pretty hostile did I receive a bounty on my head and you are here to deliver Yamato?" Krunch didn't let any bloodlust out but did shore up some ren but not much and wagged his free hand in front of Yamato "You have improved since last time but let's see by how much? I bet you can't even make me drop my mug little hunter." Krunch was simply trying to get a response out of Yamato goading him to take the challenge and play around for a bit. But before either of them could do anything they were quickly interrupted by someone who grabbed both of them by the shoulders and brought them in "Ohoho please gentlemen let's keep things civilized in here." Fireworks were going off in Krunch's spine as he had no time to react or even felt this man's presence anywhere near them until he started talking. Krunch turned his head just a little so he could see the stranger's face and gasped in who it was. "Captain Burmont of the Crash unit for the Nen police a living reaper is what we used to say in my circle." the man was a bit shorter than Krunch and Yamato standing at best about 5'6 and he looked fairly average in stature as well but the amount of weight his hand put on his shoulder felt enormous yet light at the same time. "Oh really now nothing but hype if you ask me... but for you Krunch your reputation is well known in my circle too. Burnmont then looked over too Yamato "Careful their buddy let's take things down a notch. The captain then pulled the duo closer together wrapping them around his arms in a chokehold and gave a light squeeze "Now listen here I am in charge of security here and you two seem like trouble so I suggest you skedaddle the fuck on outta here right now." The duo released from his squeeze Krunch rubbed his red neck and stuck out his tongue before going to grab the box and proceeding to head for emergency exit and from what he could see around a couple other nen police were standing in the back waiting to see if he would try something it seems they weren't playing around. Krunch opened the emergency staircase and looked at Yamato and tilted his head signaling him to follow and also proceeded to flip off the captain before closing the door behind him muttering to himself "Buncha dickheads huh." |

In response to Krunch's taunts, he had no interest in a lost battle, especially in such a public forum. He simply met Krunch's gaze with a disinterested expression, "If I had a hit on you, I wouldn't do it here." he muttered, clearly uncaring of his antics. Before he could even process it, Yamato felt a firm hand reach his shoulder, and the voice of the man was chilling as ever. Yamato's eyes shifted to the shorter man, and at the mention of Nen police, Yamato recalled that he likely broke several laws just the other day. After being released Yamato managed to keep his footing, his Aura somewhat roused after the intimidating altercation. Once he was released, Yamato reluctantly followed Krunch through the emergency staircase. In response to Krunch, Yamato let out a sigh and said, "Great, first that stupid island game and now I have to deal with the Nen police tailing me." Upon closer inspection Yamato looked more annoyed than afraid, did he have something to hide? Yamato turned away from Krunch, "Well, it was lackluster seeing you again, hopefully, next time it will be because of a hit." His voice had a bit of a monotone nature, clearly, his words weren't said in a serious manner, but rather a slightly mocking one. Had Krunch stopped him to talk about Greed Island, Yamato would more than likely force himself to stay in order to fulfill his mission, however, if Krunch let him walk, they'd likely see each other again during the next auction. |

Krunch walking down the staircase heard the mention of greed island and giggled "Wah no way you tried getting it too? I missed my mark by like 12 billion how much you got I'll let you borrow it on weekends if we share." Krunch had mounted the box on his head and balanced it on his head as he walked down with a bottle and the mug in both of his free hands promptly pouring himself another glass "Man they speak the truth boire du mauvais vin is a good way to live your life guess it why I am gourmet hehe." Krunch then responded to the man's claim of a hit "A hit on me ohhhh that sounds exciting I would look forward to that but aren't hunter's not supposed to fight unless they have committed terrible acts." Krunch then took a big ole gulp promptly pouring himself another"Aren't you just an assassin still what's stopping me from just ending you now and bringing in your head for a bounty, those nen police might be mighty keen with the idea." Krunch then took another sip and joked "I am kidding but I do look forward to that hit seems fun." Krunch was gonna exit on this level "Well I got a game to get and this is my floor Au revoir." Krunch didn't really have a reason to exit this floor he just felt awkward about staying the whole way in the emergency staircase and opted to find an elevator nearby on this floor. |

At the mention of Greed Island, Yamato stopped walking, turning his head just far enough to look at Krunch. As the man spoke, he found his language to be quite offputting. He was being far too casual and his language only continued to piss off the young assassin. At the mention of selling him out to the Nen police, Yamato seemed to keep his cool, though the muscles in his hands tensed up at the comment. Without answering any of his verbal jabs, he watched Krunch's every movement as he ascended the stairwell until the sound of his footsteps faded. With that Yamato descended the stairwell, reaching the fire exit they initially entered through. As he exited the stairwell, the vile city air filled his lungs as he did his best to stabilize his breathing. <"Shit, why did he have to be here..."> he'd think to himself, clearly distraught to some extent. Yamato had no interest in getting close to Krunch, rather he'd more than likely kill him if given the opportunity. However, since he wasn't strong enough, that was a task for another day. As the days progressed, there would be plenty of time for Krunch and Yamato to handle their own business. On the third day, rumors of the famous game Greed Island spread, saying that it was to appear at the grand York Shin auction house, just on the next day! In this time, Yamato would scramble his things, contacting the Organization so that they could prepare ample funds. With that, Yamato would head out the following day, but not before catching sight of Krunch if he were to enter the main entrance by normal means, "Of course..." |

Krunch went off on his own and would return to the next auction to see if he would be able to get away with the money he has now. On the next auction day Krunch went back walking with his hands in his pocket whistling a tune walking amongst the crowd feeling the occasional gaze by what he assumed would be nen police stalking around the place but it seems like they are not as wary when Krunch is behaving it seems and rather focus on real security. Krunch then saw Yamota coming in as well and went over to his way "Back again? Are you going for greed island again if you are how about we combine our money seems to be a lot of hype for the game I am afraid I would get outbid again." Krunch then walked with Yamota and the crowd to their respective seatings and opted to sit with Yamota pestering him about some questions "Hey you know last time how do you do claw things on your hand and I don't mean your ability I been trying to learn how do that." Krunch then lifting his right hand did his best attempt but only managed to pop off his ring finger nail "See this keeps happening what I am I doing wrong?" The pair sat down and let the auction begin just waiting for the chance to try and get greed island. |

As Krunch followed and pestered him, Yamato kept his cool, after all, he had a mission to complete. His higher-up allotted him 4 Billion Jenni to bet on the Greed Island, however, if he was unable to acquire the game, he'd had to otherwise acquire it by whatever means necessary, so long as it did not attract the attention of the Nen police. After taking their seats, Yamato looked to Krunch as he mentioned his claws, even showing a failed attempt at mimicking the technique. "It's not a technique one should go around trying to mimic unless you want to end up destroying your hands..." with that Yamato lifted his left hand, showing his muscles and blood vessels contorting underneath the layer of his skin, resulting in all five nails protruding like knives. After a second of donning his claws, he'd retract them, hoping it wouldn't garner attention from the staff. "Anyway, if we're both after Greed Island, I don't expect to share with some delusional adult who goes around pestering kids." Regardless of what Krunch would say to Yamato, the announcer on stage would speak up, causing the majority of the auction house attendees to become silent. "Welcome to the York Shin auction house, first we're to start off with-" the announcer would go on for the first half of the auction listing items other than the game both Krunch and Yamato desired. However, roughly half-way through he'd say, "Now now, what I imagine many of you are here for, is the legendary game Greed Island!" and with that, a man wheeled the game encased in a dense clear glass container on to the stage, "The starting bid is 2 Billion Jenni!" hand-held placards with numbers would immediately fly up, including Yamato's as the bids continue to rise and rise. Krunch covered his finger from bleeding and looked at Yamato "I get it I get it your cool ill figure it out eventually." Krunch did try to examine Yamato's hand but couldn't figure out really what he should be doing by watching. Krunch then remained quiet for the auction as the announcer spoke and was interested in a couple of items the announcer mentioned but controlled himself he knew today was the day to try and get the game. But this was a useless attempt Krunch raised the cost up high to around 12 Billion and was quickly outbid by other's getting caught up in winning "I am borrowing some money from you." Krunch then raised the bid with the extra money but was still outbid "Well I guess we won't have to share since we didn't even get it and dude we are like a year or 2 apart from what I could tell." Krunch in a fit of rage sat down in a sulking manner and spoke aloud looking at Yamato "No point in staying now that was the last one wanna go to bar a few blocks down I know the owner we can get our drink on looks like you could use one." |

Watching himself quickly lose the bidding war, Yamato felt a resolve inside of him...he needed to get to Greed Island by whatever means necessary. As the bidding war continued, Yamato was surprised to see Krunch had so much Jenni to throw at the game. <"Hmm, maybe I can use him?"> he'd think to himself, up until the point where he got outbid. <"Nevermind..."> Feeling a bit bummed out, he watched as Krunch received back to his seat. Yamato shrugged when he mentioned age, "Whatever you say." Spoiler: click to toggle As the auction for the Greed Island game came to a halt, it was sold to an older gentleman with a monocle. "Damn, it looks like Mr. Ruthford won the bid..." muttered one of the other bidders. Yamato took a mental note of the name but then turned to Krunch as he offered they should stop someplace to get a drink. Somewhat hesitant, Yamato figured he might be able to get something out of Krunch if he were to play along with his invitation, "I suppose." as they'd walk outside of the Auction Hall, the Nen officer from before would nod to the pair, making it clear he had his eye on them, "Lead the way." |
