Water stopped falling as Ylva got out and dried off. Using a towel to dry her hair due to not finding a hair drier, Ylva dresses herself. The wolf was glad that Demyan had at least allowed her to bring a purse big enough for the clothes they allowed her to wear, even if they we're still very much revealing. It was all she had and she was frustrated she couldn't pick what she wore. It was all Demyan.

Motto's voice interrupted her as she was pulling on her thigh-high hosiery and snapping them into the garter clips.

His voice seemed gruff and the majyuu stiffened slightly. Was he still upset? No...it was probably because he just woke up. She silently cursed herself for jumping to such conclusions but she became defensive whenever someone would raise their voice. Fidgeting a bit in the almost too small leather shorts, Ylva opened the door to meet him while automatically keeping her eyes down to the ground.

"S-Sorry for using the bathroom," she said while pushing some hair strands out of her face, "I...umm had an accident and I thought you'd not like me smelling up your place. I washed out my things and hung them up, if that's okay..."

It was in that moment that whatever treatment she had endured took its toll on her. She was thin, thinner than when Motto had left her, and some faint scarring from cigars peeked out from behind her neck. It didn't compare tot he brutal scarring that was on her back.

Hesitantly, Ylva glanced up at him, wondering if he was okay.

"Motto...are you okay?" she said softly, reaching out her hand but then quickly retracting it, "you...ummm...g-got pretty mad a while ago." A small laugh left her as she tried to play it off so he didn't feel bad about it.

But she failed at it and her smile faded.

"I...really didn't want anyone to know about this...especially you," her voice trembled a bit, "I always thought 'What would Motto think about me, doing these things?' Heh."

"...Do you...despise me? For all this? For...leaving you behind?"

Her hands were clenched into fists, awaiting his answers to her questions. If he did hate her...she wouldn't mind that. It was something she deserved, after all.

The door opened sooner than he expected and Motto stood there frozen at the sight of the Hunter who once made him piss his pants. Ylva was skin and bone, bruised and not looking at him..apologizing and stuff. His mouth opened to respond but Motto didn’t know what to say first.

He could say, “What the hell, they starved you and beat you?” or “Huh? It’s totally fine if you use the bathroom. I don’t need to use it. I was just worried about ya.” Or even, “Hey.. are you ok?” but none of those things came out. Her eyes were on his, and she asked HIM if HE was ok. Motto blinked at the girl in amazement. OF COURSE HE WAS OK. Why would she even ask that? As if she could read his mind, Ylva explained herself and seemed upset. Motto’s shoulders fell at the sight and he was about to apologize when she was speaking again, this time Ylva sounded so sad and small it hurt him to listen.

Words weren’t his strong suit. Motto stepped forward and pulled her close and held her there for a while. Eyes closed and head down, the Hunter finally spoke. “I would never despise you.” It troubled him to think that Ylva was concerned about his opinions when she was in such a terrible condition.

“Hey.” Pulling back enough to look her in the eye, Motto’s voice was soft and a little weird because his throat happened to be kinda tight. “You are in real bad trouble..those guys hurt you and … it’s.. .. real shitty. Yvla. Look at me Ylva. Listen to me. It’s ok for you to use the bathroom, and and.. don’t apologize. I’m the one who threw a chair out the window. Me. I’m not even sorry, so don’t … just don’t… look … so..” His chin had begun to tremble and Motto clenched his jaw. A swallow. “Don’t look so sad.” It was not his normal tone. This whole situation was difficult for Motto. He wasn’t sure why, but it felt slightly embarrassing and uncomfortable.

“I have an extra shirt. If you’re cold. You don’t have to change but I just..” Motto scratched his head nervously. “Are you hungry? Or tired? You’re probably tired. Or.. d-do you want to watch tv?” He wasn’t sure what to do or say. His mind seemed to be sluggish and numb.

The majyuu was answered with an embrace, his arms around her as he held her close to him. Feeling him hold her so gently made her closer her eyes and cry. She felt like that person back at the hospital room, when she told Motto that she had fallen for him. Slowly, her own arms wrapped around him as she beat back those terrible salacious actions that her body wanted to do to the other.

Curse those men who taught her body these things...curse them to the darkest place.

The wolf buried her face in the male's chest, taking in his warmth as if it all she needed. It was then he spoke.

"I would never despise you."

Turquoise widen as she quickly looked up at him. He...didn't despise her...even after everything that happened. How? Her mind couldn't fathom that and more tears fell. How....how did she find such a soul to fall in love with that didn't hate her? Motto was always so kind to her and watched out for her.

He deserved someone just as kind and wonderful as him by his side.

As the other Hunter broke their embrace, Ylva looked to him as her looked at her with those brilliant her eyes. His voice was soft, vulnerable even, as he spoke to her and apologized for things. Motto then said something and did something that almost broke her down.

He didn't want to see her so said and said that in the frailest voice she'd ever hear. It was astounding and so heartfelt that she cupped her hands over her mouth to stop herself from sobbing once again. Ylva nodded and then gently let her hands cup his face in a tender, innocent touch. Slowly, her own forehead touched his and she sighed softly.

"Those gentle eyes of yours...remembering them and you...it kept me going for all those months, my feelings for you..."

The she-wolf pulled away as he asked her if she's like something to eat, or anything else she'd fancy. The thought of food made her salivate and her stomach growl.

"I'd love something to eat and...and I don't mind as long as it's not rice and beans," she said softly as her one good hand stayed on his cheek, gently stroking it before pulling away, "and...I'd like to just spend time with you...we never...did get any time like that...especially at the gala."

Ylva...then gave the other a smile; a real, genuine, smile that reflected her old self back at him.

She’d cried. It sucked to see someone in so much pain. It pissed him off and made him feel crazy. Motto’s thoughts halted when Ylva touched his face. It felt good but frightening…was he being a greedy asshole? Maybe he should take her hands off? It wasn’t right to do that..it’d hurt her feelings. It was sorta romantic though..gah his face was getting hot. Again, Motto’s mind quieted when she brought her forehead to his. It was just hard.. Ylva’s situation. It was hard but at least right now she was ok. Kinda. Sighing Motto closed his eyes. Maybe he didn’t need to figure it all out tonight. Maybe it was simply time to breathe and …

“…my feelings for you.”

Motto’s brows twitched slightly. Dammit he felt guilty. And nervous. And flattered. And confused. It was kinda too much for a guy like him to handle. Motto’s mind normally broke things down into simple ideas and went from there, but all these feelings overwhelmed him and he stood there stuck. Her hands on his face felt nice, but Motto wasn’t sure if he was wrong to enjoy it. She had serious loving feelings.. and here he was touching her and being close. Fuck it. He cast all the worry aside and decided that no matter what, it was ok to comfort the poor girl.

Except her hand was still on his face and he liked it. A lot.

She wanted food or something..her hand was rubbing on him a little and Motto couldn’t think straight. Why did the smallest stuff like this make him go weak? Of course there was a reason for it, but whether or not the Hunter would ever realize it was doubtful.

“Gala?” He repeated dreamily. Ylva’s smile woke him from the mental haze. “Gala…oh. We never got to dance.” He was still holding her. Motto let go and glanced around the bathroom while trying to focus on being normal. He felt stupid and wanted it to stop. Too many weird thoughts and stuff.

“I’m sorry. Did you say you were hungry? Rice beans? Wait. No rice and beans!”

Backing up, he hit the frame of the doorway and moved a little in order to make his way out of the washroom. He continued to smile while rubbing his sweaty palms on his pants.

“Ok! Food. I’m on it!” Her clothes were intense. “I’m going to get my phone.”

Motto scanned the room and frowned. Where the heck was his….? Ah. Reaching into his pocket, the Hunter pulled out his phone and stared down at the screen. He was supposed to be making a call but he couldn’t figure out why. Fingers hovered over the digits uncertainly, and Motto blinked several times as he stood there lost.

Turquoise eyes watches as Motto loosened his hold on her and stood away. Hearing him remember that they didn't have their dance made her smile a little, but inwardly it made her a bit sad. That evening should've gone a different way.

It didn't do well on what could've been; what happened, happened and she'd have to deal with the consequences as best as she could.

Her eyes caught on to how he was acting towards her touch made the wolf majyuu think that maybe he thought she was messing with her. Toning down her behavior seemed to be appropriate in this instance, no matter how much she wanted to be comforted.

It wasn't right of her to touch him without asking, and it was hard for her to differentiate between gentle gestures as innocent or if he wanted something more. Even though men came off as tough, the majyuu learned that they were quite vulnerable to touch. To touch a man in the right way renders them putty in her hands.

And that was the last thing she'd want to do to Motto because he was different and meant so much to her. Tainting him in such away would be utterly disgusting because...

Because she'd want it to stem from love, if anything.

And it was selfish to think that she could want that from him.

Casting those thoughts to the side for the time being, Ylva blinked a little as Motto hit the doorframe while leaving, which made her chuckle softly. He said he'd get food, making the she-wolf's ears perk up excitedly.

"...Thank you, for going to get me food and...and...checking on me," she said softly while keeping her hand clasped behind her back. Ylva watched him as he went to look for his phone. She, too, stepped out of the bathroom and closed the door behind herself. Not sure what to do, Ylva just stood against the closed door. Was she welcome to sit where ever or did he want her to sit somewhere specific?

No.

She had to stop thinking of him like a "client" and think of him as a concerned friend. Looking around, Ylva decided that sitting on the ground would be the safest thing to do and did just that. The wolf tilted her head up to see what the other was up to, but noticed that he was being hesitant about something.

Curiosity got the better of her in that moment.

"Is...something the matter, Motto?"

She wondered if he wanted to ask her things. In all honesty, Ylva was fine about questions but...she was worried that it might make him upset again. That was something she didn't want to go through again...it was too frightening to her.

But...things will never start moving if questions weren't asked.

"Motto...if you want to ask me something, you can do so, I just...can you promise not to get...so fired up? I...I know that can be hard, to hear all these terrible things, but...it was really hard to see you so upset."

Her hands were placed in her lap.

"I really...want to tell you everything that happened when I left you back in that town..but I can't if it'll make you upset like that..."

“Is….something the matter, Motto?”

“nnN.” He grunted, whipping his head up to look at Ylva. “I..I’m I forgot what I was doing.” Looking back at his phone, Motto scowled at it. It was supposed to remind him dammit.

It only took three good whacks of the beatle 07 against his forehead to work. “OH RIGHT! FOOD!” Typing quickly, the Hunter did a quick search for nearby eateries and recognized one he’d had a few nights ago. In seconds, his previous order flashed on the screen with the option to send again. Tapping a quick affirmative, Motto grinned. He’d managed it! Food was on its way, and it was only a matter of waiting now.

Sitting down across from Ylva, Motto kicked off his shoes and sighed. As he was doing so, she started to explain things. It took him a full five seconds to process what Ylva said, and Motto’s face went from one expression to another as the different concepts turned over in his mind. She didn’t want him to get angry again…a promise. Was she afraid of him? Or.. maybe she thought he was mad at her. Huh.

It was important for her to tell him everything.. and Motto genuinely wanted to know but he was already kinda pissed just thinking about listening. It was time to man up. He’d do it. For her. It was the least he could do, and he owed it to Ylva.

His eyes refocused and locked onto turquois ones. “I promise. I’ll listen to every word Ylva and don’t worry about my feelings. I’ll let ya hit me if I show any anger. For reals. But I won’t. Ok?” He nodded with a solemn air, and placed his hands on his knees to grip them firmly. “I’m ready. Go.”

Ylva tilted her head in confusion as Motto grunted a bit and then looked to her. He explained that he had forgotten what he was supposed to do. The majyuu blinked a bit, but then looked at him in surprised once he hit himself with the phone and remembered to order food. For reasons unknown to herself, a small chuckle started out in her chest and soon it bubbled into warm laughter that made the wolf woman fall over onto her side as she continued to laugh jovially.

It had been a long time since she'd laughed like that, but...it felt nice to laugh like that with Motto. He always seemed to bring good things out of her.

A slender finger wiped at the corners of her eyes, the sounds of her laugh dying out into small giggles as she leaned back against the wall.

"I've...wow I haven't laughed like that in such a long time," her voice was breathless and genuinely a bit more cheery than when Motto had bought her, "thank you for that."

Coughing a bit, the wolf regained composure as the other started to talk about not losing his cool because he wanted to listen to her. He even looked her in the eye and said he's promise not to get mad or she was allowed to slap him.

"Okay...I'll tell you what happened," Ylva muttered before going on to explain what had happened to lead up to this point. The she-wolf vividly told her tale of how she had arrived back home but was greeted by the ashes of her home and the death of her parents; how the villagers spotted her in the cemetery and called her a demon while handing her over to men that claimed they'd "take care" of the demon that plagued them; how she met Demyan and that he burned all her possessions, even her Hunter's License, and emotionally toyed with her to get her to come with her.

The majyuu briefly stated that they tattooed her and "trained" her for about a month and a half before they started putting her to work. If she went further into that, Ylva was certain Motto would loose it. The she-wolf went on to explain that she tried leaving several times but she was always caught and punished. It was as if they knew everything she was doing in this city. She then mentioned that several people she had ran into tried to help her leave but she always seemed to find her way back to Demyan...

Like he had some sort of hold over her.

Ylva then ended her long-winded story with the auction and how she had utterly given up hope until she recognized that Motto had bought her.

"...and, now I'm here, with you," she said with a small sigh and smiled to him, "and...I want to help you get rid of those men. I know they're just one group of a bigger group, but...I want to make sure that those men, especially Demyan, pay for what they did to me and those girls..."

A small growl left her as some silent tears fell. There were wounds that would never heal because of what they did but...if she could prevent these men from doing what they did to her to other women...then it was worth it.

And...maybe it would bring her peace as well.

Ylva growled as tears slid down. She wanted them to pay, but she didn’t want him to get angry. She made him promise even.

“Hit me.” Motto blurted. He was covered in sweat and visibly shaking with his eyes squeezed shut. The grip on his knees tightened, and Motto’s breathing was steadily becoming faster.

“Hit me now, Ylva. Do it.” He spoke with effort as his heart twisted up inside his chest. They’d stolen her after her found her home burned and learned her folks were dead. They’d destroyed her Hunter’s license. They’d … done really bad things. Evil things. But she kept going back. Others before him tried to help. But she kept going back. She wanted them to pay for what they did and make them stop BUT SHE DIDN’T WANT HIM TO GET UPSET.

Motto’s aura burst into a fiery orb around his heart. He wanted to be good. He worked so hard to be. Maybe he was foolish and … mistaken. It didn’t really matter anyway. He didn’t have a choice. Motto felt it was his duty as a person to protect those weaker than himself…even moreso because he had chosen to be a Hunter. So the police and stuff were corrupt? Ok. That pretty much meant one thing.

If Ylva was speaking now, he wasn’t listening anymore. Motto had to do this right. He needed to be patient.. find them all. Lure them one by one. The raging energy subsided and sank back into the Hunter’s form, leaving only a faint darkness in his eyes.

Every time she tried to leave she found her way back to what’s his face… suspicious. Amber brown eyes flickered to turquoise ones and Motto channeled Gyo. Some serious bullshit was happening and he needed to address it. Immediately.

If in fact, he saw foreign aura tattoo crap, Motto would get to his feet and go to his back pack. He would pull out his hunting blade while fortifying his resolve. Looking down at the weapon in his hand, Motto’s expression was firm.

“It’s fine if you hate me. It has to be done.”

She might run, but he’d catch her and hold her down.

Her anger was quite hypocritical; she had told Motto to not get upset but in turn it was her who was feeling anger. Maybe it was because she'd never thought about her situation out loud or maybe she never had a chance to properly process everything she went through. Whatever the reason, Ylva was going to apologize for her behavior, that is, until Motto told her to hit him.

The wolf looked at him like he had grown two heads, but she recalled that he had said that she was supposed to hit him when he was feeling particularly angry. Scared from seeing how much he was restraining himself, the majyuu slapped him across the cheek, wincing as she did so.

"A-Ah! I-I didn't mean to hit you so hard.."

Her own turquoise looked up into amber and she could see that it pained and angered him to hear what she'd gone through. Ylva reached out to place her hand on his but stopped, thinking that it would inappropriate.

"...I-It'll be o-okay though. M-Maybe we can expose them and save those women like we did last time...? T-There has to be someone t-that doesn't like what's going on....I...was probably being too brash when I said I wanted to "make them pay"..."

A sigh left her as she ran a hand through her hair.

"I....I'm just glad I'm not there right now and that I'm away from that hell scape for the time being," her voice was small now, as she looked down, "I'm...glad I'm here with you."

Ylva didn't noticed that Motto activated Gyo, but if he looked to her back, the faint glow of someone else's aura could be seen coming from right above her tail. Seeing the other stand and leaving, the majyuu tilted her head a bit due to curiosity. As soon as she sad a glint of light coming off the blade, the she-wolf stiffened considerably as her breath caught in her throat.

Why?

Why did he have a knife in his hand? And why was he coming towards her with it?

"...M-Motto...w-w-why do you h-have a knife...?" fear radiated from those words as she pressed her back against the wall. Surely...Surely he wouldn't hurt her...would he? He wouldn't become like one of the men who carved into her when she didn't do what she was supposed to do?

Would he?

When Motto spoke, though, it scared her so much that she felt like she might soil herself again.

"...W-Why would I hate you..?...Y-You...know I have feelings for you so I can't..."

Scared, Ylva slowly moved closer to the bathroom and then scrambled for the bathroom door, her instincts to not be hurt overriding anything else. Why was the one person she trusted, over everyone else in her perfectly destroyed world, wanting to harm her....?

Why was her understanding of "Love" now twisted and confusing her in this instance...?

Motto never felt Ylva’s slap, but his cheek was red from where she had hit as he stared down at her with fierce eyes. He started forward.

Posted Image

“You’re not gonna like this.”

The moment she started to make a run for the bathroom, he was on her. Both arms circled the she-wolf’s torso and took hold, pressing him firmly against himself and lifting her off the floor. It wasn’t hard to do. Ylva was just a little thing, starved and exhausted. No match for his strength whatsoever. Motto wanted to comfort her, but it would just prolong things. He needed to end their control over her now, and then kill them all later. Careful not let his blade touch her even if she fought, he would twist around and force her down onto the mattress. Straddling the girl with her tail underneath him, Motto held Ylva in place with a hand planted between her shoulder blades while yanking her shorts lower to expose the nen tattoo. It wasn’t very wide, but it was big enough to leave a pretty nasty scar once all was said and done.

Ignoring her attempts to get away or fight him off, Motto held his knife tighter and brought it down so that its edge touched her back just above the strange markings. He was just about to press down when he stopped. What if ..it didn’t work? What if he cut her for nothing? But he had to try! He needed to DO SOMETHING. Again Motto angled the knife’s edge and if her hands got in the way, he’d simply grab them and hold them against her back stacked on top of one another. It had to be done. This was for her freedom. No more fucking sex slave bullshit. It was all gonna end right now. Gritting his teeth, Motto began to moved his wrist to make the blade enter her pale flesh.

“Dahh-” An anguished sound tore from the Hunter’s throat and he lowered his head. The knife loosened and fell away in his weakened fingers. Motto’s chest was heaving and his eyes were squeezed shut. He couldn’t be sure it would work. He didn’t want to hurt her. He’d do it if he was absolutely certain but he wasn’t. Motto didn’t like feeling so weak..especially now. It was because of soft crap like this … he might fail. He might fail her and Ylva would get punished. But he couldn’t bring himself to do it. She was frightened and pinned down…oh fuck.

Slumping, Motto nearly sat on her butt before he realized that was probably the worst place and got off her quickly to stand looking down at her with the blade still in his hand. He was standing over her with her knife. He’d just been on her, and ready to cut her. Motto’s weapon dropped to the carpet and he brought a hand to his head and grabbed a fistful of his hair. Again, his eyes closed and the raven’s stature faltered a little as he tried to process what he had about to do. His mind was a mess of feelings and it was strange to see how cutting her actually made sense in his mind, which also being totally crazy and awful. He was wrong, but he didn’t feel wrong.

“Shit. Ylva. Ylva.” Overcome with the need to make things right, Motto pulled her by the legs until he was able to reach for her and turn her over. Eager to put her fears to rest, he reached down and scooped her up into a tight hug.

“I’m so sorry. I’m sorry. Please.. I’m n-not going to hurt you. I’m sorry. I’m ..Ylva, I’m sorry. It’s all over.” His words were fast and small, Motto sounded a bit like a child in that moment; pleading for forgiveness and petting her hair with heavy and rushed strokes.
