The wolf seemed down-hearted at hearing that the other didn’t have any information on where would be a good place to help heal her injuries, but she hadn’t considered a Nen healer. Keeping that information for later, she finished her second glass of whiskey. Hearing the other laugh boisterously after he said her name was lovely made the wolf smile happily as she clapped her hands. “Thaaank you for…for liiiking my naaaame~,” she said happily as her body continued to warm up from the alcohol. He then introduced himself as Gilgamesh and her ears twitched excitedly. “I’m…I’m gonna call you Giiiil cause its WAAAY easer to remem…remember,” the wolf said, words slurring while having trouble saying other words. Ylva looked down at the re-filled cup and she quickly downed it before being pulled onto her feet. With just once arm, Gilgamesh lifted her and set her feet on the ground but Ylva was incredibly unsteady on her feet due to being drunk. Her hand took hold of his as she tried her best to keep balanced as she walked. “Mmm…I’mma…I’mma gonna hold onto your hand for little bit,” she muttered happily while heading towards the temple with Gilgamesh. Having a companion to go exploring seemed like the best thing in the world right now. It…helped to distract her mind from troubling things that seemed to haunt her. Once she managed to have steady feet, the wolf pranced alongside the other and looked around the entryway in awe. “Ooooh! It’s HUUUUUUGE in heeeeere!” she declared gleefully as she happily looked around everywhere before taking the time to wait for Gilgamesh to come where she was, “cooome ooon, Gil! I…I think there’s neaaaat things in heeeere!” It was then that she stopped being loud for a second and crouched down a bit as she entered. Ears twitching to a certain direction, the mayjuu picked up…some interesting sound that seemed to come from deeper inside the ruins. It….sounded like talking but…she wasn’t sure. Were….there people inside? Turning around to look at Gilgamesh, Ylva excitedly waved at him and whispered loudly to the other. “Heeeeey….I think…..I think there miiiiight be some guys in there.” |

The large, blonde hunter smiles at the drunken mayjuu as her attitude rose like the morning sun. He could not deny that this was his favorite effect of drinking, the joy that comes from the numbing of ones problems. "Gil it is, most people have taken to calling me that" It was true, almost everyone he met eventually shortened his name. He couldn't blame them, Gilgamesh was a doozy. As she steadied herself with his help Gilgamesh chuckled, he knew she was drunk, he didn't know she was that drunk. He allowed the girl Ylva to hold onto him while they walked but soon enough she was bolting ahead like an excited child, awe struck at the structure in front of her. He had to agree with her, the ivy covered columns soared upwards past the tree tops, such an immense structure must have taken decades to construct he could only imagine what kind of civilization had built it. The Hunter was too busy admiring the grand temple to notice his companions actions. It only came to his attention when she began speaking, people? Great. A giant, all encompassing smile crept across his face as the words reached his ears. If the she-wolf was right, and judging by her ears she was, there were people here. His mind wandered with the possibilities, Spirits left haunting the temple? Mayjuu who have made it there own? Grave robbers? The possibilities seemed endless though the simplest answer stood in front of him, they were probably other explorers. Gilgamesh wouldn't let that thought get to him, the alcohol helped. He marched forward towards the giant entrance, while his companion had the ability to be stealthy he had no such luck and would never delude himself into thinking such. "C'mon, the fun is about to start" He strode by the crouching girl giving her head another pat of assurance. There was no need to be afraid in his eyes, he vowed to himself a long time ago to never cower in the face of the unknown and he hadn't yet. The Whiskey that now flowed in his blood also contributed to his reckless attitude. As he made his way through the first floor of the temple he thought he could hear voices in between the gusts of wind that blew through the structure. He wasn't sure if he could trust his ears or not but he knew he could trust his voice. "OI! ANYBODY HOME!? WE'RE COMING IN!" |

Ylva smiled widely as Gil’s hand pat her head gently, even going as far as to rub her head against his hand. Having her head patted made her happy and if her tail were to be working right it would’ve been waging a mile a minute to show how happy she was currently. It… felt like she could take on the world with her new friend by her side as she forgot about the things troubling her from before! The wolf continued to sneak about in an overly dramatic fashion as she flung herself against the stone walls and tip-toed dramatically even though she really didn’t have to. The Hunter kept up with Gilgamesh’s steps, seeing as that he took large strides when he walked, bounding to his side. Every now and then she’d trip a bit but she’d get her balance back by holding onto Gil’s hand again. As they continued on, Ylva’s ear twitched as she noticed the sounds of talking growing ever the more audible to the both of them. The sound of the wind blowing through the ancient structure would’ve hindered a normal person’s hearing, but the mayjuu was fixated on the source and hone in on it. The sudden burst of talking from Gilgamesh made the wolf nearly jump out o her skin, but in the end she laughed loudly. “OMGOOOOSH!!!! That….was SOOOO LOUD!” she announced loudly before crouching down and laughing, using a feeble attempt to keep the room from spinning. Once she got her bearings again, Ylva decided to announce herself as well. It was only polite to do so! “EXCUSE US FOR BARGING IN PLEASE!” The announcement was followed by a fit of giggles before jumping into another entryway. This particular entryway, though, led to an opening that gave way to a perfect view of where the noise was coming from. It was a large group of men that seemed to be carrying large guns and crates of some kind. It also gave a view for those people to see who Ylva and Gilgamesh were. And they all turned to see the drunken wolf acting like and utter fool. “OOOh!! GIIIIIIIIIL I FOUND MEEEEEEN~~~!” she stated loudly while waving to her large companion, “I…..I thiiink they haave gunnnns and….and weeee…miiiiight haave interuuupted soooomething~” |

Gilgamesh couldn't help but laugh at the small girls antics. There was no shadow of a doubt that she was very, very drunk. He began to wonder if he should have let her drink that much alcohol then again he probably should not have drank so much himself. He felt the dizzying effects of alcohol and the invincible feeling that comes along with a few bottles of whisky. "Could you make anymore noise?" The giant teased as he followed the girl on her path to find the source of the sound. As soon as the she-wolf located the noise she let out a bellowing shout alerting him and the men to their presence. It took him a minute to realize what she had just done. These men were armed and probably dangerous and this drunk little lass thought it was the greatest thing in the world. The never ending laughter came back as he walked over to Ylva, petting her head once more "You did good kid, but next time I think you'd better be a little more quiet about it" He looked at the men who were now staring at the pair with weapons drawn. "Oh hey now guys we wouldn't want you to do anything we'd regret now eh?" He began to walk towards them at a slow pace making sure he was in between them and Ylva. This was the most dangerous and thrilling part for Gil, getting in close to his enemies. He smiled at them and laughed again. "We can settle this with a drink! C'mon guys wouldn't you rather have some whiskey then shoot up two lost explorers?" He pulled the whiskey out of his bag. There was a twinge of regret as he did so, there was no way that this fine whiskey would be alive at the end of the fight regardless of what went down next. "I'm telling ya, it's really good!" |

Ylva basked in the gentle touch to her head, not even upset that her tail wouldn’t move to display her own happiness at the attention. Smiling brightly and not paying attention to the men, the wolf leaned her head into Gilgamesh’s hand. He mentioned that she needed to be quieter, causing Ylva to become surprised and placed a finger to her lips while constantly giggling like some school girl. As guns were pointed at the two, the mayjuu pouted and crossed her arms in a comical way. “Thaaaat is sooooooo verrrrrrrrrry RUUDE siiirsss…,” she muttered loudly before Gilgamesh started to talk the men down while standing between them. The she-wolf grumbled as the other did the talking. It looked like he was trying to bribe the men with that weird drink he had her partake in. The men didn’t look to please at the larger man’s offer and cocked their guns, but it was obvious they were intimidated by Gilgamesh’s stature. “This ain’t no place fer two adventures. Y-You need to leave,” one of the men in front, an older gentleman with a salt and pepper beard, tried to sound intimidating as best as he could. Honestly, he didn’t want to fight the larger man, but these two drunken idiots, by the looks of it, didn’t need to be crashing in on their drug operation. “If you leave now, we won’t shoot ya,” he continued, pointing the gun at the Gilgamesh’ face, “and if ya ferget what ya seen that’s even better.” Ylva peeked out from behind Gil and tilted her head, having not been privy to what the man was saying. “Buuuuuut thereeee’ss obviouslyyy a loot of boxes heeeree,”she muttered while motioning to the boxes, “we…we can’t reaaaly ignore themeee.” One of the other men came out behind the one previously speaking and aimed a gun at the mayjuu girl. “Watch it missy, you’re on thin ice here!” he exclaimed. |

Gilgamesh knew this was the point in time that he would depart with his wonderful find, of course not without one more drink. Uncorking the bottle he began to drain the last third of the bottle. "Shiiiiiiittttt, I'm going to miss you baby" His words were sullen and a frown could be seen on his face moments before he brought it down on the smugglers head. The bottle shatters into a dozen pieces and fell around the man as he crumpled to the floor. "That's a poor way to introduce yourself" The giant's eyes then turned to the second criminal, the one holding the gun up to his friend. At that very moment Gilgamesh's nen roared to life as he concentrated on his legs. They weren't very far at all but the hunter did not want to risk having Ylva shot in the ensuing struggle. In the blink of an eye Gil took off, launching himself towards the smuggler and grabbing his entire head in one hand. A second later he was a few meters away from the small wolf, the gunman's head slammed into the ground. "You have anymore friends?" He asked, there was no response. "Don't go giving me the silent treatment now, do you have any friends?" Again, no response. The hunter lifted the man off the ground to look him in the eyes. Unfortunately for Gil, the man's eyes were closed , he was unconscious. "Well...there goes that plan" He muttered, dropping the gunman back on the ground. With slow limbering steps Gilgamesh made his way back over to Ylva "Sorry about that, I figured you wouldn't want to die here and neither do I" The Hunter turned from his companion to examine the crates "What do you think is in here? More guns or drugs?" He tapped on the crate and looked for anyway to open them. Unfortunately there was no way but to rip it open and after a minute of preparation the large archaeologist did exactly that. Once the side panel was removed the drugs began to flow, giant bricks pouring out around Gil's legs "Drugs, typical" He sighed and kicked the bricks out of the way. "No one should defile such an ancient place with this type of behavior." With a large sigh he turned back to Ylva, immediately brightening up so that she wouldn't be frightened. "So, we need to find the rest of them and make sure they understand they are not welcomed here" He gave the small girl a wink as he began to stretch. Stretching was integral to Gilgamesh's survival, after all he didn't want to accidentally pull something or get a cramp because he was too lazy to do some simple stretching. "You with me?" Gilgamesh was certain that he new the answer before the girl spoke but he wanted to give her room for her own input even if she was practically shitfaced. It would also make his job a lot easier if he could keep an eye on his drunken companion while he dealt with the rest of the criminals. He also assumed that once she had sobered up she would be able to handle her own in a fight and while Gilgamesh would never admit to needed help, he wouldn't turn it down if it was offered. “Awwwww not the gooood stuuuuf!!” Ylva said with an exasperated sigh at the situation. Watching Gilgamesh down the rest of the bottle made the mayjuu feel a tad sad. The wolf had grown quite fond of the strange liquid drink that distorted her vision and made her feel like she could take on the world. Not to mention that that it certainly helped with easing the pain in her left shoulder and her tail. As she stood there, lamenting the loss of the alcohol, Ylva almost completely missed what had come afterwards. The rest happened in a blink of an eye and the she-wolf was barely able to keep up with it. What she didn’t miss was feeling the other’s Nen surge into action. Turquoise eyes widened as she felt it and she couldn’t help but be reminded of him, of Motto Brook. Shaking her head to rid herself of the thought, but not rid of the emotions that followed, Ylva decided to walk around and inspect the wooden crates for herself. The Hunter was on the verge of tears, but a couple of slaps to her own face help riled her out of that slump and back to her drunken present. Lazily, the mayjuu looked up at the other and smiled. “Yuuuup! I don’t…I don’t waaaanna diiiiie here! I gotta…I gotta get back home to my mooom and daaaad,” she said excitedly at the thought as she swayed in place before crouching down to look at one of the crates. Clawed fingers tried to find an easy way to open the crate, but there wasn’t an obvious opening, so instead she picked up a rock and started hitting the crate with everything she had in her little drunken body. “LET. US. IIIIIINNNNN.” She yelled, somewhat feebly, but stopped as soon as her companion ripped open on of the boxes. He said it was drugs, but the stuff inside looked like it was a bunch of sugar. “OOhhhhhhh, I thought druuuugsss look like thiiiiis~!” she said in a sing song voice before pulling out her pill bottle full of medication. She rattled it around playfully before putting it back and listening to Gilgamesh. He has they needed to find the rest of the guys, assuming that there were other guys around. Of course, Ylva nodded excitedly and went ahead a mimicked his actions. Since her balance was off, due to be in intoxicated, the wolf struggled to finish her stretching and fell a few times. But she was still ready to go! “Mmmm…So…So where ssshoooould we start, Gilly Giiiilll?” she said happily while spinning around, “I…I can caalll out to theeeemee agaaaaain.” It was then that a sound came from the second level of the ruins, any other level beyond that looked like it didn’t exist because of wear and tear over time. “Ooooohhhohohoh~,” she chuckled softly as she looked up towards that floor, “I thiiiink someone’s stiiiiillll heeeereee~!” “Leeet’s go see who he iiss~,” she said happily and quickly darted off to find away to the second floor. It didn’t help that she almost ran into a wall trying to do so… |

Gilgamesh was only half listening to his partner as he opened up the crates so he was unpleasantly surprised when looked up to find that the Majyuu went missing. He looked left, then right, then left again and only found her because she had nearly walked into a wall. With a chuckle the hunter rose to his feet and made his way over tot he small girl. "There is more booze kid, We're just savin' that for later" He patted the small girls back and began walking down the halls "I don't know who else is going to be in there but if the bullets start flyin' again maybe you should just hit the ground." It wasn't that he didn't like Ylva but she was practically too drunk to function. As he walked, the loud thud of the hunter's foot steps echoed through out the temple alerting anyone near them to the pairs arrival. While the giant couldn't see anyone he knew the all too familiar feeling of being watched. "Kid, do you know what the legend of this place is?" Gil decided it was best to talk, act like nothing was happening, and then when they were able to locate the spies they could take them out. It wasn't a very complex plan, Gil had to admit that but it was the best plan he could come up with in his current state. "They say that no matter how many battles take place here that nothing that falls in battle here ever remains" He turned and grinned at the small girl hoping to god she'd at least be able to sense something was amiss |

“OoooH! There is MOOORE?! YEEEEESSS! We…We will TOTALLY have some moore after we. After we deal with everyone else here!” A fit of delighted giggles left her as he patted her back. The wolf girl eager followed the other down a dark hallway, twirling about every now and then. The echoing sounds around them, caused by their footsteps, made Ylva smile. As they continued on, the Hunter looked around, feeling something watching them but not sure where it was coming from. It was then that Gil started talking to her about the legend of this place and she quickly nodded her head with such vigor that it looked like she’d snap her neck off if she went any faster! “OH YEAA! The umm the villagers said something like that; there’s like umm ghosties and b-bugaboos here toooooo!! BOO!” The wolf did her best to do an impression of a ghost, but it fails horribly. As he looked to Gil, it was then that she noticed that something was awry as well. The Hunter acknowledged him with a nod. “I never really…really understood that umm did it mean they like…like they…like they cease to exisit and they go “poof”? It’s…there should be some clarifica-“ BANG! BANG! BANG! The bullet had just missed the majyuu’s head, causing her to duck just in time, but also to fall flat on her ass. “SHIT! FUCK!” Curses flew from her mouth as she growled deeply. They just interrupted her talking like a bunch of animals with those damned guns! RUDE! “I’M GOONAA KICK YOUR ASS INTO NEXT WEEK FOR THAT, YA SHIT!” Another onslaught of bullets came upon the two and Ylva took off to get some cover before looking for tone of the shooters to take out. |

As soon as the bullets rang out once again Gilgamesh made damn sure he wasn't in the way of them. He turned over to look at his companion to make sure that she was doing okay. To his surprise she was doing a lot more than okay, she was pissed. It was something that made Gilgamesh laugh, in the midst of the hail of gunfire, a small little wolf-girl was screaming at the top of her lungs about kicking their asses. It would have been something to see if the little wolf ever got a chance to kick their asses. Unfortunately the she-wolf would never get the chance to make good on her threats. The bullets had stopped almost immediately after Ylva had yelled at them, the silence was quickly followed by ear piercing screams, screams that chilled someone to the bone, screams accompanied by gunfire. It took the hunter a second to figure out that the guns weren't pointed at them. Not wasting much time Gilgamesh turned to Ylva with his eyebrows raised, he wasn't sure if what just happened was her doing or if there was something far worse than a few gunman in this temple. "Did...You...?" He cocked his head slightly to the side "Did you just kill them all?" He inquired, his voice in disbelief. A loud clanging sound began ringing throughout the halls as Gilgamesh questioned his companion. His head swiveling around to locate the source of the noise. Soon enough large figures could be made out in the darkness, those figured moved in rhythm with the noises, foot steps. It took about a minute longer until the figures could be fully seen, large rusted-armored humanoids that seemed to jostle and sway as they moved. There were three of them and while they didn't have any eyes that the hunter could see, Gilgamesh could tell that they were heading right for Ylva and himself. |
