The wolf winced at how loud his volume had gotten and stood still as he moved closer towards her. He was worried; it was clear to see all over his face. Her own eyes couldn’t help but look into worried amber. The Hunter asked when he had hit her and if there had really been another accomplice with the kidnapper “...They were the ones that initially made the wound but I aggravated it to get help,” she said as she thought about it, “it’s…possible that the one of them could’ve assisted in capturing me and…maybe one of them transported girls as well? I didn’t…really get a good chance to see anything.” Ylva wish she could provide more information that could help them on their investigation, but…that injury had muddled some things and she tried to narrow in on what she counted as solid memories. What surprised her next made her eyes widen; he sniffed her. It reminded her of when she tried to track animals; a very animal-like quality. Wolf instincts perked, Ylva sniffed back softly, but stopped once she realized what she was doing. She turned her gaze to the ground as she felt the temperature of her cheeks rise. From embarrassment. That's what it was...right? Hm. It made her chest feel weird as well.. Motto moved very suddenly as he declared knowing what the word ‘Cinema’ entailed. It through all other thoughts out the window. Astonished by how fast the other moved, Ylva watched as the other practically threw himself at a moving vehicle. The mayjuu was up and moving, chasing the other down as she watched the car stop with a sudden screech and the young man popping up on the other side. He opened the door, waiting for the young wolf-woman to enter the vehicle. "S-Sure. Let's go." Hesitantly, remembering her previous journey in a vehicle, she made her way towards the car and slowly scooted herself in, pulling the coat around her a bit. Her thoughts of being in the truck made her a uneasy, but she knew that Motto wouldn’t put her in danger…would he? Of course he wouldn't! He even...forgave her for her use of Nen on him...and watched out for her. Ylva..trusted him, even thought she knew she didn't deserve that trust. |

The ride took about an hour, and Motto used Ten to center himself as well as finish recovering from the truck driver’s kick to the face. Without meaning to, the Hunter dozed off and woke up the taxi came to a stop. They were parked by a coffee shop. “This is it buddy. Cinema Town. That’ll be two million Jenni.” Stretching his stiff body, Motto paid the driver and got out to stand on the sidewalk. This place was a lot bigger and busier than Chance Town. It’d be tricky to track by smell here. Speaking of smells, the aroma of coffee was calling to Motto and he all but plastered himself on the glass window to look inside the shop. “Ylva..” He spoke with a preoccupied drone while staring at the various pots of caffeine inside. “I think we should get some coffee first.” A few minutes later he sipped from his cup and narrowed his eyes at the other Hunter. “I’ve been thinking. Maybe if we look for trucks like one you were in.. maybe we’d have some luck there? I know it’s not much, but I’m not sure what else to do. I can’t smell anything like.. well like what I can sense on you.” ![]() Looking down, he tried to remember what the vehicle looked like. It had words on the side, but he hadn’t been paying attention. Motto squeezed his eyes shut and thought harder. “It was.. red. Mmm I’m not sure what it said..some kinda words..wait a minute!” He jumped up from his seat and yanked the shop door open. “Come on Ylva! I know what to do!” |

It was a calm drive, much more pleasant than what she had been first exposed to and no danger to be had. Even though Ylva was still feeling very upset form what she had done to him, it couldn’t take away from the tiny excitement that she experienced as the car moved. Her first time in a vehicle had been in the truck, so she wasn’t too familiar with the scenery passing by so fast. With knees up on the seat of the car, the mayjuu peered out from the window, her ears alert and her tail wagging. It was nice; the snow blew past them in small flurries. Cars didn’t seem so bad, at least that was her thought for now. “We’re moving so fast…,” she muttered softly before looking back at Motto. She was hoping that he’d reply back, but it looked like he was sleeping. Making sure to keep quiet, the wolf continued to watch the scenery pass them by before falling asleep as well. The voice of the cab drive woke her. Bleary-eyed, she rubbed her eyes as the other paid the driver for taking them to the town. Yawning, she exited the car after Motto and stood on the side walk with him. The sounds and lights were the first thing to assault her senses; there were more people here than the previous town. The abundance of smells, lights and everything was a bit much for her. Carefully, Ylva pulled the coat over her head and kept close to Motto. Looking to him, she noticed that he was preoccupied with staring at a shop window. He mentioned something about getting coffee, and she suddenly found herself following him while lowering the coat back around her body. There were a lot of people there, and she could feel some stares. ‘Don’t think about it, Don’t think about it…,’ the Hunter repeated to herself mentally as she followed Motto around while he got coffee. They sat down a table for a moment, and he soon started talking about their mission. He voice that they should look for the kind of truck she was held in nd was concerned that he couldn’t smell the scent of where he had been held anywhere. Wait...she smelled like that truck still?! Concentrating a bit, she picked up on the smell coming from her and recognized it. ‘Gross…I should bathe after we’re done with this,’ she thought before focusing back to the conversation at hand. Motto talked about the truck being red with some lettering on it. Honestly, Ylva couldn’t remember if the truck said anything at all. She had been so out of it when they took her that she didn’t have a chance to notice her surroundings. “Hm…m-maybe we can ask in establishments that could possibly be doing business that could be facilitating this operation?” she mused outloud. It would be hard; she was sure that they would be let anywhere close to something like that unless they looked the part. As of now, they didn’t. It was a stupid thought anyway… A sudden outburst from the human made her almost jump out of her skin. She had already been very on-edge from being in a new, more populated town so it startled her quite a bit. Watching him leap from his seat and bound straight for the door, the wolf mayjuu followed and tried her best to keep up with his new found energy. “M-Motto! W-Wait!! Stop!” she yelled as she tried her best to get past the crowded sidewalks, “Y-You have to stop and think about what you’re doing!” It was a bit frustrating to be yanked about by this man’s whims and she had to put her foot down with him. Plus, there was a matter they needed to take care of before they go off gallivanting towards wherever he was heading. If this matter wasn’t taken care of it would certainly cause trouble for later. “You need to change your pants!” |

Heads turned and the Hunter blinked down at himself. Some smirked while others quickly moved away from the spiky-haired man. Cringing a little at his awkward predicament, Motto fought down the rising color in his cheeks. “We don’t have time for that. Those people need to be stopped Ylva.” Sure it was embarrassing to have everyone looking at his stained pants, but he could move past it for the sake of all those helpless girls. Motto wasn’t entirely sure how large the operation was, but he was determined to shut it down. The truck Ylva had been on could have been the only one involved, but his gut was telling him it wasn’t. Those damn bruises on the wolf girl’s neck were a constant motivator. Amber eyes flashed, and Motto’s jaw twitched as his aura took on a grave tone. “Let’s go.” The mayjuu’s skittish behavior hadn’t escaped Motto back in the coffee shop, and it was in this moment that he held his hand out for hers; he knew she wasn’t accustomed to urban settings and would keep her close while they hunted. Less than an hour later, the two stood just outside a large factory on the outskirts of cinema town. It bore the same red lettering on its doors as the truck Motto had found Ylva in that same morning. The temperature had dropped even more in the late hours, and a cold breeze made it tempting to take shelter right away. Stuffing his hands deeper into his pockets, Motto stepped in close to his Hunting partner and said in a low voice, “Ok. Here’s the plan. I’m going in there and posing as a customer. You know? A guy looking to buy .. a lady or a girl or whatever. I follow ‘em, and kick their asses when I find out where the girls are being kept. We set ‘em free.” Motto grinned at a little at his awesome plan and shifted his weight as another chilly wind tore through his tee-shirt and whipped his hair into an even greater mess. “Oh and if something goes wrong, you can do that thing with your voice..don’t worry. I can take it.” ![]() He looked at the wolf-girl with grim determination mixed with total confidence in himself. “So you gotta stay outta sight. Can’t let ‘em know you’re here too, ok?” There were several entrances to the facility. Maybe she could find a way to the upper levels and maybe watch things from above while he went undercover. Motto wasn’t much of an actor, but how hard could it be? |

“You’re…not going to fit in if you smell like urine,” she said in a hushed whisper but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Her outburst had caused attention to be drawn to them and ears quickly lowered as her tail tucked itself between her legs. “And I know they need to be stopped; I didn’t lose sight I’m just t-thinking logically here…,” she muttered to herself as she followed behind the other. Seeing him offer his hand to her, Ylva wasn’t sure if it was okay to take it. The mayjuu was still cautious about being around him but it seemed he was fine, despite what she had done to him. Her hand reached out and took his unto her own. Her own hand was considerably warm due to being a wolf an easily adaptable to the winter climate. However, there was a noticeable tremble and she held onto his hand; the new city environment had her anxious. Holding his had seemed to make her even more anxious and she let go after a while, quickly hiding her hands as she continued behind the other…. It didn’t take long to find where the hideout was. The noticeable red lettering on the truck Motto had talked about was found on a large warehouse building. As the weather picked up, frigid air blowing the wolf mayjuu’s hair about and a long sigh left her. This was it; all they have to do now was find out where the girls were, rescue them, and beat some sense into those men that thought it was perfectly okay to just take women for their own gain. As Motto stepped close to her, Ylva moved away a little, but could hear his plan of action. In her honest opinion, it sounded a bit flawed. He looked just like any guy on the street; how could they know that they could trust Motto? They’d need some sort of proof or inclination that they could trust that he wasn’t some sort of cop in disguise. “Motto, how are they going to trust you with buying a woman? They’re going to think you’re come sort of undercover cop,” she said quietly to him, “you’ve got to really play the part or else they’ll be onto you…and…I don’t really want to use my Hatsu…b-but I will.” Her eyes looked a bit distant as she thought about this. Hoepfully, they’d come away with freeing the women held in there. Or else this was going to be a very rough thing to accomplish. “…I’ll stay out of sight; I’m good at that,” her voice was small when she said that and Ylva immediately took off to find some sort of vantage point to watch from. Her bare feet sank in the snow that piled up, but she was glad that it muffled the sound. Moving to the side of the building, the Hunter sized up one of the trucks parked there and decided to use it as a ladder to get to an upper window. Crawling onto the hood quietly, Ylva climbed as high as she could before making a jump for the window ledge. |

“Don’t worry. I got this.” Motto grinned knowingly at Ylva, who looked doubtful about his simple yet awesome plan. She seemed reluctant to hide herself, and he felt a twinge of guilt as Motto watched the wolf girl depart. Did he say something wrong? Probably she was uneasy, or tired. It had been a long day, and she was injured. Motto hesitated for a moment before going in. Maybe this was asking too much of her. Then again, he insisted that she stay back and rest..only to ask for her help later. The thought of more girls in those creepy collars strengthened his resolve. Every minute mattered. Looking once more in the direction Ylva had left, Motto mentally promised to make it up to her after this was done, and pushed the door open. The interior was surprisingly well lit. The warehouse was three stories high and essentially one large room. It housed an assembly line of some kind..conveyor belts zigzagged above, and a series of large churning machines chugged methodically in wide rows. The noise was minimal, and not a soul was in sight. Despite the fact that everything seemed to be running, Motto couldn’t see any materials being processed. It was as if the place was abandoned or..some kind of ruse? The Hunter stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked as nonchalantly as he was able; following his nose through the industrial maze towards what smelled like burrito. Sure enough, he came upon a group of men sitting around a table. A half-eaten burrito was there, as well as several magazines of ammunition, an assortment of automatic weapons, a bag of chips, and deck of playing cards. An awkward moment passed as they stared at the newcomer, and Motto blinked at the scene. For some reason, he honestly didn’t expect to find outright bad guys in this place even though he was hoping to. A second later, half a dozen guns were pointed at him and Motto heard stealthy footsteps approaching from behind. Lifting his hands up, Motto did his best to play it cool. “Woah fellas. I’m just here for the ladies. To uhh..have. For myself. For fun. Heh.” The Hunter’s uncertain smile was met with another long silence finally broken by their laughter. Guns were lowered and the men looked at one another as they had a full and hearty exchange at the stranger’s expense. Motto relaxed and began laughing too, obviously his cleverness had diffused the tension completely. He nearly failed to evade an abrupt movement from behind him as a man attempted to snap a collar around his throat. The laughter ceased and Motto backed away until he came into contact with a large turbine. “What is it with you guys and those collars?! Wouldn’t it be smarter to just shoot me or somethi---“ Motto dodged a taser projectile and another. The third found its mark on his thigh. “rrrRRRRRR!” The Hunter’s stocky frame seized up as a dangerous level of voltage screamed through.

Claws gripped onto the ledge as her arms pulled her body up. Careful to brace herself with the wall on either side of the window ledge, Ylva steadied herself and turned to face the window pane. It looked like it hadn’t been opened in years, but…it was worth a shot to open it. Placing her hands on it as best a she could, the mayjuu tried her best to slide it open and it only budged a little, creating a small gap. Well, at least it was more leverage for her to work with! Wedging her fingers in the gap, the Hunter pulled with all her might and she managed to make to gap big enough for her to crawl through. Whether or not anyone heard her was a different matter; she had to get in before Motto did or this plan would be for naught. And those girls would be stuck in this situation, with no way out. They were their only hope. With more determination, Ylva managed to slide her small frame through the gap and flopped onto a catwalk that was suspended near the window. Staying still, for her knew that she had most likely made some noise. Hearing no one approaching for a bit, the wolf went into a crouching position and situated herself to where she could see the entrances easily. For now, though, she wanted to know where the men were. The humming of machines working reached her sensitive ears and the she-wolf couldn’t help to wonder why they were running…but nothing was being made? It was odd…too odd; it had to be a ruse. Keeping her sense sharp, her nose picked up an odd smell, like cooked meat with strong seasonings. Moving along the catwalk, her sharp eyes noticed the group of them, the captors, just sitting there and relaxing. A small growl formed in the back of her throat as the fur on her tail and ears raised. Disgusting; humans could be very disgusting and she was glad…that Motto wasn’t one of those disgusting humans. He was actually nice, albeit a bit pig-headed sometimes but he had a nice heart and gentle smile. The other things she noticed were these large things on the table. They were VERY big and she had a bad feeling about them. The sound of footsteps made her ears pick up as she turned her head in the sound’s direction. It was Motto, just…walking in all causally?! WAS THIS HIS PLAN?! ‘You IDIOT,’ she mentally, screamed at him. She couldn’t call out to him to stop; it would blow their cover. She’d…have to watch it play out and proceed as best as she could. Concentrating her Nen on her throat, she had a feeling she might be using her Hatsu soon. Hands shaking, Ylva gripped the handrail until her knuckles were white as she watched him and concentrated on her Nen. Seeing him stumble upon the group almost made her heart stop, especially when they raised those massive things to him but he spoke some words to them. They were laughing now, but…there was someone behind him! And with one of those collars! Thank god Motto had some wits and dodged his surprise attack but something was fired at her companion and one of the things struck. His cry startled her and made her heart stop as she watched Motto’s body seize up and thrash a bit. It was horrifying for her to watch….and it made her angry and flared her Nen with deep seeded hatred. It was thick, almost suffocating, and she made her way closer, small tears stinging her eyes for she knew she had to wait until her Hatsu was ready to use…. It was painful to wait while she knew Motto was suffering… 'M-Motto...p-please hold on...,' the wolf pleaded in her mind Edited by LittlexWolfxHunter, Feb 28 2017, 06:18 PM.

![]() His limbs still jolting, Motto felt a collar click around his neck as he lay helpless and stunned. “What do we do him boss?” “Check him for wires or ID. I’d like to know just who we’re dealing with here.” The Hunter was kicked onto his back and he stared up at the ceiling as his pockets were emptied. Dammit he’d messed up. Hopefully they wouldn’t catch Ylva again. He was such a stupid idiot for thinking he could single-handedly take down this operation. For all he knew, there were a bunch more guys in the parking lot. “Well well well. A Hunter.” “Give that b—“ Motto grunted and choked as a result. The device around his throat was a real pain. Reaching up he tore it off with ease much to their surprise, and grit his teeth as another tazer projectile struck his chest. Motto hoped he could bare it, and pull the bastard towards himself as they electrocuted him, but it was all he could do not to flail wildly as the charge surged into him. “He’s too much trouble. Get rid of him.” “Yes Boss.” Glassy eyed and drooling, Motto’s arm flopped weakly in an attempt to get up. Two men took hold of his jacket at the shoulders and dragged the Hunter away from the table. His thoughts were disconnected and senses failing as machinery and lights blurred past. Once they reached a steel lift, the men pulled him in and let him drop to the grated floor as they went up a level. Soon Motto’s limp form was rolled close to a ledge suspended over a large vat and a gun was pressed against his forehead. |

Feeling her aura surging around her as focused on where she needed to be, she witnessed the men’s cruelty as they placed one of those wretched collars on his neck. It made her feel useless as she just continued to hide. But she knew it was for the better. The wolf had to keep an eye on the situation, to make sure that the time was right to use her Hatsu. He was stunned completely, and kick him they searched his body. It was obvious they were trying to find out exactly who Motto was. Her eyes continued to watch the scene unfold; seeing him electrocuted once more made her seethe with anger, and pained her heart. He looked beaten and then then men dragged him off and away, to the second story. It was exactly where she was. She made to move to a more secluded spot; the perfect time to act was coming, but she had to be careful. One wrong move and they could both suffer and die. It wasn’t until she saw them press a gun to Motto’s head that she finally sprang into action. The wolf’s voice was clear, loud and resonated within her throat as she sang. “You stand on the brink of your mind Living inside a nightmare from which You just cannot awaken Stand on the edge of your life Just give me another moment From which you will never awaken.” Slowly, she stood, her aura seeping into every word of her song as she sang with anger and malice. The song itself seemed to throb with all of her ill-intent for the captors. How DARE they hurt her companion and treat him in such terrible ways. She’d treat them just the same and let their own dark fears and secret terrors devour their minds. Her bright eyes darkened as she started to stand and face the men that had taken her friend. Luckily, the acoustics within the warehouse seemed to improve her singing and carry it where it needed to be. “To stand on the edge of the knife Cutting through the nightmare from which You just cannot awaken Stand on the edge of the night Living inside a moment From which you will never awaken. Hoping that you will decide…to let me in.” Wrathful tears fell from her eyes as she faced the men, staring them down as she sang as loud as her vocal cords would allow her, hoping they would feel the same pain that they made those women go through, as well as Motto. Her body, though, was poised and at the ready, should they decide to open fire on the she-wolf. Distorted Melody: Concerto of Delusion is in full effect. Spoiler: click to toggle

Motto wasn’t aware of Ylva’s presence nearby, or that her nen song had begun. He was barely cognizant of the fact that he was laying on a metal walkway. Guns clattered to the grating and pained groans filled the air. The two men on Ylva’s level reacted differently to their own respective hallucinations; one backed away slowly from his childhood demon, while the only fought off invisible black birds swarming him. A gun shot rang out from below where a man was firing at the dripping wet woman in terror. Several more rounds were fired as other armed men dealt with their own terror. The man closest to Motto was hit and killed instantly; his lifeless body toppling over the railing and landing on a conveyor belt below. Too dazed to understand what he was experiencing, Motto merely winced from where he lay as horrifying visions danced before him. Although his suffering had been somewhat minimal due to his impairment, the Hunter weakly tried to get away from his frightening visions; and writhed sluggishly closer towards the same edge his captor had just gone over. Two more men below were shot accidentally, and another threw a chair through a window in his effort to escape. All fell victim to the Hatsu of distortion. “Nnn..” Motto’s awareness was returning; and his monstrous form grinned at him. “No..please…” Forgetting all else, the Hunter pleaded with his worst fear in it closed in. His bulkier, darker self shook his head and said in unsettlingly kind way, “This is who you really are. Don’t be afraid. Stop running and accept it.” ![]() |
