Turquoise eyes slowly opened, greeting the darkness of what felt like a blind-fold concealing her eyesight. A dull throbbing at the base of her skull made it apparent that she had been assaulted and was now just waking. ‘Perfect…just perfect,' the she-wolf thought with an exasperated sigh. It was an incredibly naïve of the UMA Hunter to think that anyone would mess with her while she was sleeping in the open. The Hunter had been traveling for quite some time on foot, exploring the wildlife and trying to find any clues that could point her in the right direction of her ultimate goal: to find out where she came from. Three days had passed and Ylva had been completely exhausted. Usually she took to the quiet shade of the underbrush in nearby forests, or abandoned dens. That usually took time, though. She had been too tired to care about that and instead opted to sleep near the edge of a forest and too tired to really be aware of where she was. The wolf woman remembered falling asleep quickly…and then someone hitting her, pain, and then another hit. Now she was here, wherever that was. Quiet curses filled Ylva’s head, both directed towards herself and the people that had injured her. As soon as her grumbling was done, the Hunter decided it was time to plan for her escape. first, she had to know what was around her before she'd attempt to leave. Quick sniffs of the air helped to assess what, and more importantly who, was around her in this moment. Ears twitched as she took in the sounds as well. The faint sounds of crying could be heard around her but…they sounded muffled and were abruptly stopped as soon as they began. That meant she wasn’t alone but it only seemed to raise more questions; were the ones crying captives as well? Chains hitting against one another, the noise a bit harsh against her sensitive hearing, seemed to answer her question. On impulse, Ylva tried to move her hands and legs from where she was sitting, but they had been chained to the wall and floor, respectfully. She even tried to move her head but found that something had been placed around her neck and also chained to the wall behind her. Another curse, audible this time, left her and instantly her throat was constricted. The sensation scared her, and not being able to see only scared her more. Crying out from the pain, the contraption on her throat only seemed to get tighter and she knew she had to stop. Taking deep breaths, she calmed herself and eventually stopped. The contraption went back to its original state, but was still fitted snugly around her neck. It seemed that whatever was round her neck responded to the person making sounds. What luck she had… This was going to prove a difficult situation to escape from if she couldn’t make a sound… Ears perking up, Ylva could hear wheels starting to move and, sure enough, it felt like where she was being held was moving as well. Were they being taken somewhere? This furthered worried the wolf; she had no idea where she was headed or what her captors had in store for her and the others around her. She had to escape, no matter what. |

Motto's Stats for this Thread ![]() It wasn’t often Motto found himself behind the wheel. Today just happened to be one of those days. Laughing, he barely straightened the Ferrari out after a serious corner before flooring it again. The speakers blasted one of his favorite songs much louder than his sensitive ears needed, and the engines screamed. As he roared over a hill, Motto remembered why he preferred the sea. There weren’t big ass trucks going seven miles an hour jumping out in front of him when out on the water. Slamming on the brakes, he spun out of control and ducked down just as the sports car slid into the larger vehicle; completely taking out its rear axel and grinding to halt underneath. After a moment, Motto was able to kick the driver’s door off with considerable effort as his car was completely pinned between the truck’s undercarriage and the road. Crawling out, he was grateful that he couldn't smell any fuel and scrambled up to the truck’s cab. “Are you ok? Oh man I’m so sorry! I’m not meant for the road. I don’t have a cell phone mister…do you?” The Hunter’s rapid sputtering was ignored by the hulking bearded man who climbed down. Trimmer couldn’t afford to have his cargo found out..maybe this dumb guy would be willing to make a deal. A glance at the wreckage stuck under his truck elicited a groan as the rare creatures dealer realized that it wasn’t a simple accident. Still hoping to evade discovery, he opted to stick with his initial plan. “Ha ha ha!” A hearty laugh broke the silence and caused the young driver to startle. ‘Good,’ Trimmer thought, ‘The kids nice and spooked. Easier to deal with that way..’ “Listen Pal. I was your age once.” The taller man clapped a friendly hand down onto Motto’s shoulder. “Tell ya what. Let’s just forget about this whole thing huh? Your ride is totaled. Might as well just leave it here and thumb your way to the city. I won’t report ya or nothin’.” Trimmer’s smile was convincing enough and Motto blinked up at him in astonishment. “You.. .. you’re not hurt are ya? Did you hit your head man? How are you going to even get that out of there?” Motto made a sweeping motion at the crunched up sports car. “I can’t just walk away! I can at least pay for the damage and maybe pull what’s left of my car out.” Trigger’s grin tightened. “Ho ho ho don’t you worry youngin’. I got plenty of tools, and I’ve seen worse.” It was difficult to mask his tension. Luckily the cargo had been nice and quiet so far, but there was no tellin’ how long that would last. If only the spiky-haired guy would take a hike, then he could get on with the delivery! Edited by Gon.Pro.Hunter, Jan 22 2017, 10:32 AM.

They’ve been traveling for quite some time and Ylva knew it was quite far away from where she was previously headed. Every minute she wasted, the closer it seemed that they were going to reach their destination. The perfect time to strike up commotion would eventually come. She just had to be patient and level-headed. In the meantime, the wolf kept her ears and other uninhibited senses alert. There seemed to be a good amount of people in the vehicle they were in and the various cries that did leave some of these people were very feminine. Was she held with other women? This wasn’t good. A bunch of women held captive in a vehicle traveling somewhere; it reeked of human trafficking. Or some sort of trafficking. Some of the scents didn’t belong to humans and it only spurred her on to try and find a way out for the other women as well. No one deserved to be treated like this. Mentally, she growled and vowed that she’d free the other and herself. The momentum of the vehicle slowed. Turning her head up a bit, Ylva wondered why they had slowed. Was the driver being cautious? Then it happened; a collision of some sort. Whatever it was, it hit them with enough force to toss some of the women around, including Ylva. Frightened screams came from the others as she head some of them hit the wall and the floor, but the screams quickly died out. A shooting pain flared in her leg. The commotion had jerked her around roughly to where it sprained her ankle that been chained down to the bed of the truck. The Hunter bit her lip, drawing blood for a second as she tried not to make any noise from the pain. But something good did come from this; the vehicle was stopped. ’Maybe I…can make some noise and someone can hear us,’ she thought. Ears twitched as the sound of someone talking reached her through the walls. It was a young man, and by the sound of the conversation it was him who had ran into them. There was another voice; it was deeper and hearty. He told him to forget about what the young man had done and to leave. No! He was their ticket out! He couldn't leave! It was now; she had to act now or there would be no more chances to escape. Leaning her head back against the wall, the wolf closed her eyes and repeatedly started to hit the back of her head, as well as her arms, against it. Even though she knew she had an injury there, Ylva had to do all she could to get someone to help them. All of her strength went into her actions, but she could feel her head becoming dizzy. ’Please…please hear me,’ she pleaded inwardly. |

An odd bumping sound made both men turn. Motto’s features slowly twisted into confusion as he processed the noises and the situation. Were there farm animals or something in there?? They might be hurt. But trucks with farm animals had ventilation or something.. didn’t they? Suddenly there was a shift, and Motto realized that the large man next to him was moving. Trimmer’s fist slammed into the side of the Hunter’s head, knocking the Hunter off his feet. Motto hit the ground and rolled with only a second to react as the truck driver followed up with a kick aimed for his face. Luckily Motto’s aura reflexes were faster than his physical ones, and 70% Ko protected his nose and mouth from Trimmer’s boot; his whole body lifting from the forceful kick. Rolling to one side, the raven sprang to his feet and took up a defensive stance. “What the hell mister? I thought we were cool..” Motto kept his distance and rotated his body to continue facing Trimmer who strode to his cab and hauled out a large chain, some kind of collar dangling from its end. The big man began to swing the chain menacingly and Motto tensed up even more. ‘Shit this guy’s bad news.’ More sounds from within the truck’s main compartment served to fortify the Hunter’s resolve, and Motto steeled himself for what was to come. Two minutes later, the truck’s rear doors burst open after some tentative pulling and a few bangs. Chest heaving, and bleeding from a gash on his head, Motto Brook climbed in. His eyes adjusted after a moment and his expression went from shocked to pissed. There were …girls everywhere. So many. All of ‘em looked scared and hurt. Some stood while others curled up on the floor..each one had a strange collar around her neck, it looked terrible and wrong and cruel. The Hunter’s aura pulsed with his disgust at such horrible bullshit and Motto shut his eyes in an effort to control his anger. Hands relaxing, the raven approached a dark skinned teen and said quietly. “Don’t be afraid. I’m a good guy. I’m gonna help ya, ok?” One by one, he snapped the nasty rings off of the abducted women’s necks. “I.. don’t have a phone…do any of you?” The next time Motto was anywhere near a store he’d buy himself a damned phone. ![]() Edited by Gon.Pro.Hunter, Jan 6 2017, 02:20 PM.

The wolf continued to hit her head against the walls, but she was losing strength by hitting her injury that she had to stop. Her head hung a bit as she tried to regain her blackening vision, but she continued to hit her chain as best as she could against whatever surface was available. These actions seemed to spur the others on and soon the sound of chains resonated around them, as if they had caught on that this was their chance to see freedom. It seemed like hours (maybe it was due to her head wound) until the sounds of a door opening reached her ears. They twitched at the sound but then lowered with caution. She couldn’t hear what had happened outside due to the others shaking their chains, but it didn’t make sense if the one who took them would open the door. Or…maybe he was going to harm them all physically? It wasn’t until she heard footsteps and felt the presence of a strong aura that she became a bit defensive. Ears flat against her head, Ylva backed up against the wall. She was ready to bare her fangs, but the aura quelled and a quiet voice started talking to the women. It had to be the young man that she heard before! It worked! Relief washed over the female wolf and immediately she could feel all the aches in her body as adrenaline faded. The sound of the chains an restraints breaking only seemed to confirm that he was here to do them good. They were safe and they would be free. That’s what mattered. Exhaustion threatened to take hold and cause her eyes to close but she knew that wouldn’t be good for her. She had to stay awake. One of the girls looked to the male and shook her head. “N-No but…he took our things,” she said, voice shaky as she wrung her hands with worry, “t-they could be up front…where he was drivin’.” Some of the other girls nodded in agreement. Most of the women had already left once freed, not wanting to stick around, but others stayed because they did not know where they were. |

Nodding, Motto rubbed his neck and stood up. The crowded truck was beginning to get easier to move around in and as the women and girls parted, a particularly wounded-looking female on the floor came into view. Gasping, Motto went to her side quickly and felt a huge wave of guilt wash over. She needed some help by the look of it. Somehow he must’ve overlooked her since opening the truck, and it was hard to say how long she’d been like that. “Hey Miss.” Gently touching her shoulder, he spoke low. “Are ya hurt? Here…I’m gonna get this thing off ya..” Reaching down, he moved a bit of the girl’s hair away before snapping the collar off her neck. She looked seriously out of it, and the need for the cell phone became a higher priority. ![]() “Does anyone know her name?” He glanced up at the remaining females anxiously. “I think she’s hurt. Here. Stay with her while a look for a phone.” Standing, Motto took a step towards the rear of the cargo area and punched through the glass window. Ignoring the startled cries from some of the girls, he felt around wildly for a phone. No success. Groaning in irritation, Motto withdrew his arm and strode quickly towards the open rear doors. It was stupid of him to try to break the glass like that and scare them, but he was in a damn hurry. If he just had a damn phone, this would be a lot easier right now. It didn’t’ feel good to leave the ladies, even if it was just for a moment. With haste, Motto climbed into the cab and dug around in the trash and papers. Nothing. Growling with frustration, he stepped down onto the pavement again and walked to where the driver lay. Motto had to fight the urge to stomp on man’s body after tearing his cell phone from a pocket. That son of a bitch had tried to murder him and kidnap of bunch of girls. But there more important things that pressed for his attention, and Motto turned his back on the corpse before returning the cargo hold where some of the ladies were crying. “Hello? I’m.. There’s an emergency..” He spoke to the operator. Twelve minutes later, Motto sat in the ambulance and kept glancing down anxiously at the hurt wolf girl as they sped along with sirens blaring. With her eyes blindfolded, it made it especially difficult for Ylva to remain conscious in this situation. The darkness that continued to greet her seemed comforting and she just wanted to rest. A voice called out again, addressing someone. The sudden touch to her shoulder made the young woman shrink back a bit but she stilled, realizing that he was talking to her. The Hunter kept quiet as the other worked to get the collar off. The contraption fell, thudding against the metal flooring. As soon as that contraption was broken, the rest of her restraints followed suit as well. There was dark bruising around her neck, as well as her wrists, ankles and where she had badly twisted her left ankle. Her first instinct was to stand up and leave, but she couldn’t find the strength to do so…and also ended up emptying the contents of the stomach onto the floor. ‘Shit…n-no good,’the thought as Ylva tried to prop herself up on her hands but struggled even with that simple task. Her ears strained to comprehend what the young man was saying or hear anything, but she decided to forget about that. She desperately wanted to get the blindfold off, but knew that she didn’t really have the coordination to do so. ‘I swear…if I see that man who took me he is going to pay,’ she thought spitefully. One of the girls Motto asked to stay with the wolf girl gently rubbed Ylva’s back and slowly untied the fabric that had blocked her vision. “I-It’s okay; he’s goin’ to get help,” the young woman muttered reassuringly while also trying to settle down the other girls that seemed to be on the brink of tears from the young man breaking the glass window. It didn’t take long until the sound of sirens filled their air, but to Ylva they sounded muffled and far away. Everything was a blur; she could hear people asking her for some sort of information but she didn’t respond. The only thing she could even focus on was a pair of amber-colored eyes that seemed to be worried about her. It was only when she felt herself being taken somewhere else, not of her own accord, did she start to move about. It frightened her; she had just been rescued from someplace she didn’t want to be in and now she was being taken somewhere else that she didn’t know? No, no no! Not again! She feebly tried to resist them, but they managed to sedate her so she wouldn’t injure herself any further before putting her in the ambulance with Motto riding along with her. |

It bothered him that she was messed up. Many of the other girls were transported to the hospital for treatment of bruising and malnourishment..but the wolf girl looked particularly bad off. Motto couldn’t shake the guilt he felt for not finding her first.. not that it would have made a difference. After he was sure that she was stable, he’d contact the Association. The local police unit said they’d take care of it with a dismissive wave as he climbed into the ambulance, and Motto was still pissed. What if they couldn’t track down where that bastard was taking them? What if there were more trucks somewhere with imprisoned women inside? If he hadn’t accidentally run into that guy, these ladies would still be there. Who knows what would’ve happened to the one in the gurney now. Motto clasped his hands together and frowned. The world was a real dark place sometimes. It pissed him off and made him wonder.. were Hunters doing enough for society? At the hospital, Motto glanced at the clock. 7PM. He’d been pacing for exactly four and a half hours. No wonder he was starving. The vending machine only had savelifers left and he hated those. Even when Motto broke down and bought some, they’d gotten jammed anyway. He was tempted to picked up the machine and shake it when a nurse finally came out. “Sir. The woman you arrived with is stable and conscious.” Forgetting his hunger, Motto rushed to the wolf-girl’s room. At the door he paused and heard voices. With a tentative knock he poked his head in. “Hello?” ![]() |

She’d never been inside a hospital and it wasn’t something she liked. As soon as she was admitted in, and the sedative wore off, Ylva ended up trying to resist what the doctors were doing. It was fear that was fueling her actions and what she had previously gone through. She didn’t know where she was and she certainly didn’t like so many humans prodding and examining her. A deep growl left her, hoping it would get them to back off, but a struggling nurse had managed to stick her with another sedative and she was losing consciousness fast. It was a while until she woke. A groan left her as she opened her eyes slowly. A white ceiling greeted her and her head injury was now reduced to an ache. It was painful, but not as bad as it was before. Moving her legs, she felt that something was covering her left ankle and knew that she had been cared for. The scent of antiseptic hung in their air and assaulted her sense in a painful way. Everything was foreign to Ylva in this environment and she felt incredibly vulnerable in this state. Her sense slowly came back and her eyes landed on a woman that seemed be telling another person something. One of them left the room and the other came close to the young woman. Frightened, the wolf backed up on the bed as she tried to distance herself from the person. “Ma’am, please be still you had a very bad head trauma,” she said frantically as she tried to calm down the Hunter, but Ylva only wanted to be out of this place. The wolf scrambled off the bed and to floor, making for the corner as fast as she could and crouched down low. The fur on her tail stood on end as her ears flattened against her hair. She didn’t want to be prodded, poked, or taken anywhere else against her wishes; she.just.wanted.to. LEAVE. A knock on the door and a voice saying ‘hello’ made her ears perk up gently, but Ylva didn’t leave her spot as she continued to focus on the nurse that was desperately trying to calm her down without resorting to using a mild sedative. The nurse turned towards the voice and walked towards the door. “I’m sorry, sir, but it looks like she’s not taking well to being here,” he said to the young man, “we might have to sedate, even though we really don’t. She’s just…too wild for us to handle right now without risking someone getting hurt.” The woman huffed as she looked over to the wolf in the corner. “You’d think she was human but with those ears, tail and the way she’s acting really gives it away that she’s a magical beast…,” she said before going back and trying to calm her patient down. |

“Wait.” Motto’s expression was no longer timid. He stood at his full height and something of a fierce look was in his eyes. The nurse did a double take and paused with the syringe close to the wolf-girl’s arm. “She dosesn't need that.” He said gravely. Swallowing down her pride, the nurse complied with a mixture of curiosity and annoyance. The urge to respond was immediately squashed by the man’s intense gaze, and the caregiver backed away from her patient. Ideally, Motto would explain himself and apologize right away, but the injured girl was the higher priority. Stepping forward, he rested his hands on the rail at the foot of Ylva’s bed and lowered his eyes. Out of his peripheral’s, Motto could see several items nearby that she could potentially harm herself with, but remained calm and relaxed. Head tilted down and eyes averted, the Hunter exuded peace and waited. ‘I’m no threat to you. Calm down. Easy. This place isn’t natural to ya, but it’s ok. We can just be still and relax. Nothing bad is happening.’ He mentally chanted these things to enhance his exterior signs, as well as let his ten flow in a smooth, fat, and lazy form around him. The nurse found herself relaxing as she watched, but also highly skeptical. The syringe was still in her hand and ready if need be. Just who was the young man anyway? Did she need to call security? “Everyone’s safe.” Motto stated matter-of-factly, raising his eyes up to Ylva’s. It was too soon, but he had a feeling that she wasn’t hostile.. just afraid. “All those other ladies are ok. I’m Motto. What’s your name?” ![]() He grinned warmly at the bruised girl and waited. |
