The cops were of course expected, but arriving on a wooden table wasn't, Lubbock was strapped down onto it and the straps were tight around Lubbock's chest, wrists and ankles, this did not seem to bode well for the green-haired boy. The straps were sinking into his skin causing his veins to clog up with blood a bit, the pain was slowly growing.

"Hnn... What are you planning to do with me exactly?"

The man didn't answer him and simply grabbed a piece of cloth and laid it on the table in front of him, he unrolled it and out came evil looking tools, painful looking tools, there was no way he was gonna use it on him, right? Lubbock's eyes started to grow and his pupils shrink, he eyes started dodging all around the room looking for a way out, he had to find one! "This can't be happening!" He thought to himself, frozen with fear, sweat pouring over his face and onto the table, wetting it. The man grabbed a steel mallet, covered in dry blood, what was he going to use that for? The cop held his arm up and flung it down onto Lubbock's hand, causing him considerable pain and causing him to scream.

"AAAAAHHHH!... Why? Why are you doing this, you sick fuck!"

The man just simply went round to his other side, ignoring his question and dropped the mallet onto his other hand, causing another scream of pain... would this suffering end soon?

“So you like girls.. funny. You squeal like one.” The man’s friend sneered from the doorway.

“So you got my message?” The first one asked, the steel mallet in his hand dripping with fresh blood.

“Yeah. You sure this ain’t a little girl?” Eyes swept over Lubbock’s body coldly as the new “officer” walked in. “Maybe he’s confused about himself. Wants to feel what it’s like to be a pussy.”

“We ain’t doin’ that Harv.”

“I ain’t sayin’ nothin’. Just pretty is all.”

“Not after I’m done with him. This little shit nearly killed himself a Hunter.”

“Oh he did now?” Harv’s expression changed from lustful to impressed. “Huh. Guess that means you ain’t a little girl after all.” With that he strolled back to the various tools and plucked up a dull prong. “Hold still. This is going to hurt.” He lifted the instrument and started to slowly push it deep into the teen’s left ear.

Back in the dingy hospital, Motto’s instincts were gnawing at him about Lubbock. He should’ve taken him to a better precinct..but he was nearly at his own limit and didn’t want to take any chances. Still. Lubbock was just a kid and Chance Town was the last place anyone wanted to get arrested in.

He sat up and looked around. He’d keep the tight girl shorts, but Motto wasn’t going to keep wearing the hearts and rainbows thing. The ER wasn’t exactly stocked with clothes however, and the Hunter opted to leave shirtless after making sure his bandages were reinforced around the waist. The rest of his cuts could wait. Barefoot and bruised, Motto walked out in to the darkening streets.

This couldn't be happening. No, no, no, no, no! How did Lubbock get into this mess? It's all because of that Hunter, it was all his fault, it was the logical conclusion Lubbock could draw, after all, the Hunter ordered 'special treatment' for him, this wasn't just ordinary, this was extraordinary! After a few minutes of the men in the room talking, one of them seemed to have grabbed a prong and put it close to Lubbock's face so that he could examine it carefully, knowing exactly what it looked like. Lubbock was now stressed as he couldn't possibly perceive what the next torture exercises were.

The prong stuck deep in Lubbock's left ear, causing it to bleed and break his eardrum, by doing this, Lubbock felt considerable pain in his ear and he couldn't hear anything from it except for white noise, the pain was enough to cause Lubbock to scream even more, the rebel was starting to lose his fire and he seemed to have lost hope in ever getting out or surviving, even if he did get out, he definitely would not be able to do any of his normal daily functions. Lubbock decided to try and break his restraints, shaking his entire body to break the straps to no avail, he then started to simply just shake uncontrollably, losing the strength to even simply carry on with a normal action.

Motto hadn’t gone very far before he heard the screams. Judging from the sounds of things, Lubbock was in some kind of trouble! A horrible dread formed in the Hunter’s mind as he took off at high speed. Disregarding his own injuries completely, Motto leapt over a deep wide crevice in order to save time. Less than a minute later he stood panting in the police station now dark and empty.

“Hello?” He looked around frantically. Not only were the cells empty but there was absolutely no one around. The lamp hadn’t even been lit.

“HELLO?” Motto called louder, his anger rising alongside the guilt. Something bad had happened. Dammit he shouldn’t have left the kid like that. Another agonizing cry and he tore through the dilapidated building until he found the stairs leading down. Oh man he could smell blood.

Without bothering to use Zetsu, Motto stormed in quickly. The two men didn’t even realize he was there until one of them suddenly flew back and hit the opposite wall with shocking force. Motto caught the mallet easily when the other swung at it his face and tossed it behind him before driving his fist into the second man’s head. A flashback of purple blood and Motto back away quickly. Shit he’d been in blind rage almost. Shit. A shiny object caught his eye and Motto snapped out of his personal anxiety. It was a curved hook, fresh blood on it’s jagged end. Golden eyes shifted rapidly to the table and its various instruments before taking in the teen’s restraints.

“What the hell..” The man was beyond confused. Just what on earth…? Blinking down at Lubbock’s battered hands as if in a trance, Motto tried to replay the last time he’d seen the boy. Was he somehow responsible??? A shaking hand lifted and tore a leather strap off. And another. And another. Eyes watering and jaw working to hold back the overwhelming guilt, Motto pulled Lubbock free from his bonds and carried him away. Away from the dark quite building, away from Chance Town. All night he walked with the kid in his arms until the automatic sliding doors opened at the large Cinema Town medical center.

Motto laid Lubbock down gently onto a gurney and backed away.

“I’m sorry..”

For once, Lubbock had been glad to see the face of a hunter even though he thoroughly hated them, there had to be exceptions to that rule however and this was one of them. The hunter took the men out quickly and unstrapped Lubbock as fast as he could, Lubbock tried to stand up but was instantly picked up by the teen and taken to the nearest ward to rest and heal all of his wounds, as soon as Lubbock was laid down, he fell slowly into blissful sleep.

Lubbock suddenly woke up and jumped out from under his covers, cold sweat covering his face from the sudden nightmare he just had, a few seconds of heavy breathing and Lubbock was now calm and able to think rational, he tried to move his hands but felt discomfort when trying to clutch, he looked down and his face showed terror, his hands had bruises that covered his palms and wrists and his fingers didn't bend correctly like flamingos legs, Lubbock brought his heavy head up with pain and discomfort, upon seeing the Hunter just lying down on his bed it made Lubbock jump to the back of his bed.

"W...w...what are you doing here? Have you come back to finish the job or something?"

Lubbock still didn't trust the young man even though he had saved him, however, the teens memory was foggy from what happened and so still didn't realise that it was Motto who had come to his aid. After a few minutes, it seemed that Lubbock had calmed down and simply started a conversation with Motto.

"What happened? All I remember is being tortured and suddenly someone came to help me, was that person you by chance? If it was then I am in your debt, while I myself despise that fact, it is nonetheless, a fact."

He might have misjudged the young man and should have not hated him just because he was a Hunter. He just wanted to bring down the association, killing innocents would make him no different from the Hunter Association.

Motto jolted awake at the sudden movement close to him. Semi alert, the Hunter blinked in confusion at the green-haired teenager in hospital clothes. Motto’s hair was strangely matted and he had a black shirt on with the phrase “Sun’s Out Guns Out” in large letters across his chest. He had no recollection of how he came by it or how he’d gotten onto the bed for that matter.

“Finish the what now?” Motto raised himself up only to groan sharply and collaps back onto the bedding. His ribs were in bad shape. Quietly fighting down the urge to moan over his wound, Motto laid there with his eyes squeezed shut as Lubbock spoke.

“You … have somethin’ against Hunters… I take it? NNn.” The raven winced while lifting himself a second time. Sweat had already begun to collect on the man’s forehead, and his next remark was interrupted by the nurse.

“What are you doing in his bed? You were expressly told not to move around.”

“Huh?” Motto was completely baffled, and took notice of his shirt in that moment.

“You’re a patient here mister. You two are to be on strict bed rest for two weeks!”

Motto wanted to argue but his body hurt like hell, and he felt sick. He dropped back onto his face and moaned as his rib cage made contact yet again with the mattress. The nurse left muttering about needing a small army to move the bakka back to his own bed, and Motto glanced up at Lubbock.

“Hey. I don’t know about the past couple hours, but yeah.. I got ya into a bad situation yesterday. It was my fault you got.. you know.. messed up. I got ya outta there and …yeah. I get it if you despise me or whatever man, but Hunters aren’t all dumb like me ok?”

It seemed that the young Hunter actually felt remorse for what they did to Lubbock and for that, he had earned Lubbock's respect, never once has a Hunter that he has met felt sorry for their actions, especially when they hurt others, Lubbock looked down at his covers with a saddened to smile on his face.

"Thanks man, however, I kinda wish Hunters were as dumb as you, that way they will always know the right path to follow and where justice can be found"

Lubbock looked back up to Motto with a cheek to cheek kind of smile and decided to lighten the mood.

"Listen to me, talking about something stupid, I might hate Hunters but I don't hate all of them, you have just shown that you do indeed care about others and that's something to be proud of. On another note, I would just like to say that I might be a pervert but I would never touch them without permission."

Hopefully Motto wouldn't think so low of Lubbock from now on as he had no intention of hurting them. All that needed to be was to be released from the hospital and maybe look for that hot nurse that came in earlier. Lubbock moved close to Motto's face to whisper in his ear, he put his hand up to cover his mouth.

"That nurse was pretty hot, right? Want to go spy on her? Deep down inside you want to, don't try to hide it."

All Lubbock wanted to do with that whisper was to add some lightheartedness to the whole dreary situation, hopefully the boy wouldn't take it too seriously.

Honestly, this thread was a little weird, although not necessarily in a bad way. It made sense, anyhow, and explored sex-related themes in a mostly mature way... but it'd probably do Lubbock good to discover the Internet, where he could see every image of a naked girl he could think of, instead of bothering people at hot springs (can anyone explain me this fascination with hot springs that's so widespread in anime and manga?)...

Also, it's good that Zungaken's Kenneth is not alone in hating the hunters and the Hunter's Association. Although he is now more keen towards them, since their motives are similiar, I expect they would get along well. Motto's personality was explored in an interesting way, and Lubbock's, however weird, was too.

I think the writing improved throughout the thread, especially Amzer's (which, considering you are a native speaker, was a bit poor). Also, even though it was obviously played for comic purposes, Lubbock's mistake in the beggining was a bit... silly. Gon's use of images of Motto was pretty good and helped convey his emotions well. Motto and Lubbock's fight was well-written and thought out. I have to admit Lubbock's last joke wasn't bad.
