Name: Yato Ogata Gender: Male Age: 15 Height: 5'11 Weight: 175 Species: Human Appearance: Yato is a lean, muscularly- toned youth with long light-grey, almost white hair that reaches shoulder length and is slightly wild, the rest being held in a mid ponytail, and light green-blue eyes. He wears a dark grey V-neck t-shirt, and slightly destroyed blue jeans with a black hoodie tied around his waist by the arms resembling a sash. He wears custom-made open toed black footwear suited for battle(Think naruto sandals) And his hands are wrapped in fighter's tape sporadically, missing in places.

Background
Birthday: January 11th Personality: Yato thirsts for strength and a good fight. A boy of few words, he prefers to speak with his fists. He is honorable, and will do the right thing when he needs to as per the teachings of Shingen-Ryu. He isn't about making excuses, and when he fails at anything, or loses, he works his ass off to fix whatever's broken. Having been bullied in the past before he was a fighter, He's a bit standoffish. But once he gains a true friend, he is loyal to a fault. Origin: Yato Ogata is the son of Satoshi Ogata, a founding member of the Domyn's Unification Army, and his wife Momo. During the early days of the conflict between North and South Domyn, Satoshi was a farmer, desiring a stable life for his wife and unborn child and making a living in the vast farmland along the border of south Domyn. The violence escalated, and before he knew it, fighting broke out. He, and a group of fellow farmers and neighbors all formed the Domyn Unification army, a mostly-relief armed force that protected civilians and homesteads caught in the crossfire. South Domyn's forces grew tired of the constant thorn in their side, and proceeded to get rid of them. The soldiers would march through the villages, threatening to execute anyone who supported the DUA. They also rounded up and killed DUA members as often as possible, until it got so bad that no one would support or help the DUA anymore. It is unknown what happened to Satoshi during this period, but according to Momo, he left for a DUA meeting to discuss the future, and never returned...
12 years had gone by, and things had stabilized. The DUA were spoken of in hushed whispers, if at all. Yato knew next to nothing of his father, except stories from his mother. Stories of his bravery and strength. This implanted a desire within Yato to be strong, and brave, to do him proud wherever he was. The village kids would make fun of Yato, and talk badly about his father, which caused him to get into fights constantly. On one of these such days, a passing warrior monk witnessed a brawl between Yato and a bunch of other village boys. Seeing Yato's tenacity, and resemblance to a certain someone, The man broke it up and pulled Yato aside.
Informing Yato that his name was Master Roshi, he also explained that he had taught his father how to fight, and gave him the strength to stand up to injustice. He offered to teach Yato these very same Skills, the art of Shingen-Ryu. With Permission from his mother, He was brought to Master Roshi's home dojo in Cinema Town. There, he met another young student who was the same age as him, a kid called Gonu. To Yato, Gonu was a serious rival. Having been immersed in martial arts since birth, Gonu had much more experience than Yato. As they learned the basics of Shingen-Ryu together, Yato worked harder than he ever had before in order to make up the difference. As they progressed, they started being trained individually to further develop independent branches of Shingen-Ryu After 3 years of Harsh training, Yato was certified by his Master Roshi as a licensed practitioner of Shingen-Ryu, and given leave to travel. Hatsu Abilities Hatsu Name: Gate Forma Type: Offensive Hatsu Category: Enhancement Hatsu Rank: r3 Description: Directly linked to each of his 3 stances, Yato delivers a decisive crushing attack enforced with nen, varying dependent on the situation: Close Gate Strike is an enhanced body blow used through 1st Kata Open Gate Strike is An enhanced Kick used in the 2nd Gate Travel is an enhanced finishing punch used in the final kata Conditions: 1. Can only be used through Stances 2. Each version can only be initiated through it's respective stance, Open gate cannot be used with 2nd stance and etc. 3. Close Gate can only be used in countering within 1st kata 4. Close gate must be a body blow 5. Open Gate must be a kick 6. Gate Travel must be used as a superman punch 7. Gate Travel can only be used as a finisher at the end of 3rd kata 8. Open Gate may be used at any point within 2nd Kata, since it's not a finisher but a guard breaker, but it may only be used as a guard breaker and only aimed at an opponent's guard. 9. Hatsu Name: Zen Step Type: Supportive Hatsu Category: Enhancement Hatsu Rank: r5 Description: A basic enhancement skill in which the user focuses aura around their feet in order to push off the ground with a brief burst of speed. Yato uses this in combination with his martial arts, taking its basic principles and applying them to his stances as needed. Conditions: Requires moving aura to her feet rather than other parts of the body where it might be more useful. Can only travel in one direction, sort of like being launched forward. The user must be standing on steady ground, and they must know where they are they are launching themselves towards. Exiting this technique is the most difficult aspect, requiring that they be able to perfectly stick the landing. The slightest mistake can lead to them painfully crashing to the ground. Repeated usage can be tiring.

Techniques Technique Name: Shingen-Ryu with Kyokushin influences Technique Category: Personalized Fighting Style: Kyo-Shingen Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supportive Range: N/A Technique Rank: r4 Description: Sen has been trained in the art of Shingen-Ryu by Grandmaster Roshi, having a unique style that is based heavily within the original, with minor edits to suit his skills. The basis of the styles consists of aggressive barrages of well placed attacks with rotational strength, but not too much weight added in for long periods of time without tiring, baiting the opponent into striking back so that they can counter with a fluid blow, every attack linking to another and the next strike incoming as the other one retracts, making Shingen Ryu practitioners effectively Aggressive Counter Strikers.
When faced with an opponent that is also aggressive, they'll go on the defensive and counter accordingly as soon as an opportunity presents itself, retaking the flow of the fight effectively. Sen's attacks incorporate the Kyokushin fighting method, a type of striking taught to him by an acquaintance of Roshi's based on Roshi's observance of his growth. This style places equal emphasis on punches as well as kicks, ensuring that maximum rotational velocity is used to draw out the furthest power from his strikes. It also entails making frequent use of combinations, constantly putting the pressure on opponents, and precise strikes at weak points to break down defenses.
Their aggression is incredibly controlled. Using well timed feints, unpredictable timing and tactical positioning to put his opponent in the less advantageous position for balancing and limiting movement, he uses quick set ups for devastating attacks. He is always attacking under the assumption that his opponent will strike back, his eyes open for every angle his strike could be countered, sometimes leaving openings on purpose to bait that counter attack, so he can viciously attack the counter that he already expected. This trait he shares with all those who practice Shingen-Ryu.
(The Gate Strikes mentioned are not part of the nn techs but used with them) Technique Name: 1st Kata: Resting Dragon Technique Category: Supportive Type: Defensive Range: Close Technique Rank: r4 Description: Yato enters a defensive stance, knees slightly bent and arms poised as if ready to catch something. This is ideal for defense and allows Yato to carefully deflects the opponents' attacks while luring them in closer. When the time is right, Yato can launch his close range Close Gate Hatsu strike, a body punch enhanced by nen which knocks opponents back and opens them up for 3rd Kata, also capable of injuring internal organs due to its high impact. Used only in the face of an aggressively attacking opponent.
Technique Name: 2nd Kata: Waking Dragon Technique Category: Supportive Type: Offensive Range: Close Technique Rank: r4 Description: In this stance, Yato takes up the traditional Kyokushin stance, poised to launch a series of strikes to weaken an opponents' defense, ultimately following up with a devastating hatsu kick, Open Gate Strike,(Usually aimed at the opponent's guard to disorient them) to to shatter what's left of the defense and possibly injure the opponent. Used in place of the first Kata for an opponent who is on the defensive.
Technique Name: 3rd Kata: Raging Dragon Technique Category: Supportive Type: Offensive Range: Close Technique Rank: r4 Description: After either of the other stances have accomplished their task, Yato uses this stance to dismantle what's left of his opponent. Appearing to be the same as 2nd stance, it is far more brutal and aggressive, brutally wearing the opponent down with blows until they fully weaken, until finally Yato unleashes the K.O. form of his Hatsu, Gate Travel Strike(Same as a superman punch, feints 2nd stance's kick but then goes in for a vicious punch to the face!)
