× General Information
Name: Jeremy ‘Wolf’ Lawrence Gender: Male Age: 26 Height: 5’9 Weight: 165 lbs Species: Human Appearance:
Image Profession: Information Hunter Reputation: 7 (Rank H)
Background Birthday: April 27
Personality: Jeremy's battle experience and training make him an expert tactician and an excellent field commander, with his teammates frequently deferring to his orders in battle. Part of him is just naturally highly charismatic and it draws other to him and causes them to pick up some of his habits, both good and bad, even if he doesn't do it on purpose.
Despite his harsh upbringing and violent streak, Jeremy has been shown to have a certain skill at empathizing with others and a knack for deducing their reactions to situations, he is often able to predict an individual's negative impulses before they act on them. In addition to raw analytic power, he is generally an astute judge of character, especially in the dark side of human nature.
His only weaknesses are his soft spot for children and anyone who really grows on him (those people he counts as his friends he will trust to the point of almost naiveté) and dealing with his own emotional sways. Ever resilient, one major characteristic of Jeremy is his indomitable will. Despite finding himself in situations where the odds of survival and/or escape would seem insurmountable, he always pushes forward and never gives up.
Origin: Zaban City, a prosperous city, once known for generations as a stopping point for potential Hunters, it should come as no surprise that the streets are subsequently filled with shady dealers and scammers. A well-off Hunter, Jeremy’s father was only in his life for two years before disappearing on another adventure. One that he would sadly never return from. His mother raised him as well as she could on her own, attempting to ensure that Jeremy was raised with a good education and solid moral values. But environment can affect a child more than any parent ever can.
At 12 he began running with an unsavory gang of drug traffickers calling themselves The Overlords. Initially he was a runner, a delivery boy, but as he proved his resourcefulness and determination he gradually gained more rank and position in the organization. Somehow he managed to keep his activities a secret much of his teenage years, until one night while at a meeting with a new distributor, Nen Police burst onto the scene.
In truth, the meeting was about a drug, created by an internationally wanted Nen criminal, named ‘Inversion’. Utilizing his hatsu, Jin had created a substance that would temporarily allow a normal person to see aura and manipulate it, but the potential side-effects could be lethal. Forcing open the Shouko even slightly with an unprepared user risks causing severe exhaustion and/or death. Also if the drug were to reach the public then Nen, something kept secret from the world at large, would suddenly be in the spotlight.
In the chaos that followed Jeremy came in contact with the drug. The release of his own aura nearly killed him, but somehow he managed to survive. When the police swept for survivors they found him curled on his side under a table and due to his age at the time the police took them with them for treatment. He spent weeks recovering while he spoke with the authorities and agreed to a deal allowing him to serve no jail time and he would be trained in the art of Nen, but in return he would have to become a Hunter, serve 4 years military service as a Temp Hunter directly working for the G5, and reveal any relevant information he knew concerning The Overlords. He readily agreed to the first two conditions, but he refused to budge on the third.
Years later he would wish he had taken the jail time. His Nen Master, a hard man by the name of Sai Uchiyama, had been a Black-List hunter and assassin of some renown for many years before he retired from his life of violence. He had seen many young would-be Hunters sent his way over the years, but when Jeremy was brought to him on the Vigorous Isle he knew that if he could break past the smug, 13-year old stubbornness, the boy could be something special.
The five years passed in a blur for Jeremy. Although many times, more than many, he regretted his decision to come. He missed his mother, who knew about his crimes and his sentencing, but whom he couldn't reach (Master Uchiyama had little regard for communications from the outside world). He missed his best friend Darren, who he had known since the first grade. Uchiyama took those feelings of regret and pain and used them to fuel the boy, to push him harder as time began to turn him into a young man. Every day he grew stronger, not just physically, but mentally as well. With little contact with the outside world, he dove deeply into any source of information he could get his hands on. Fortunately his Master also shared his fondness for books and during his hunts throughout always sought to add something unique to his collection.
By the time he took the Hunter Exam at 18 it was much easier than he had expected, in the way an athlete trains for a big game, only to find that half the other team is sick. But getting his license brought him no joy. It was just another part in his service, something he had known all along. But at least he could finally reach out to his family. After he obtained his license he headed back to Zaban City, spending a month with them before heading off to basic training with the Nen Police. He spent another 17 months training to be a communication and intelligence specialist before he was thrust into the field. Ironically it was during his time with G5 that he learned many of the values about himself that he would pattern his goals after later in life.
Unfortunately before his 4 years were complete he received major injuries tracking down information on a group of A-Ranked criminals. He received an honorable release from his contract and began making his living as an Information Hunter.

Arsenal: Metal Weapons (Small) x2 Escrima Sticks – "Eskrima" or "Escrima" refers to a class of Martial Arts that emphasizes stick and knife fighting. Escrima sticks are made in many different styles. They can be traditional skinned or skinless rattan sticks. This is the original fashion. There are also varieties made of very dense and heavy cocobolo wood. Derivative materials can also be used to make escrima sticks. The very heavy escrima sticks are good for training and real combat. The skinless rattan sticks are good for training combat. The skinned rattan sticks are ideal for stick on stick practice.

[16/17]Techniques Technique Name:Free running Technique Category: Gymnastics Type: Supportive Range: N/A Technique Rank: Rank 1 Description: Freerunning (or free running) is the art of expressing oneself in his or her environment without limitation of movement. A more inclusive form of parkour, but having more acrobatic-like movement, practitioners aim to get from A to B in the most efficient way possible. They do this using only their bodies and their surroundings to propel themselves. Furthermore, they try to maintain as much momentum as is possible in a safe manner. Everything around them is no longer an obstacle, but something to help them do the next flip, dive, lift, tuck, or roll and get them from one location to the next.
Technique Name: Hacking Technique Category: Information Retrieval Type: Supportive Range: N/A Technique Rank: 2 Description: Information Hunters like Jeffery who love knowledge of all sorts and will go to great lengths to uncover rare or hidden bits of information. Common activities for Information Hunters include searching for rare books, hacking to retrieve protected data, and tracking down people who know desired facts. Jeffery has spent many years as a Hunter already and has developed a decent list of information contacts. He knows a few libraries with obscure text and information, but his main talent is computer hacking making his laptop a very versatile tool.
Technique Name: Sinawali Assault Technique Category: Martial Arts Mastery Type: Offensive Range: Arms + Weapons Reach Technique Rank: 2 Description: The signature double-stick weaving movement associated with Arnis and Eskrima. It is commonly seen in double-stick continuous attack-parry partner demonstrations. Simultaneous parrying & attacking utilizes the principle of economy of motion by combining attack and defense into one movement, thus minimizing the "time" element and maximizing the "energy" element. Efficiency is gained by utilizing a parry rather than a block. By definition a "block" stops an attack, whereas a parry merely re-directs it. Redirection has two advantages, first that it requires less energy to execute and second that it utilizes the opponent's energy against them by creating an imbalance. Efficiency is gained in that the opponent has less time to react to an incoming attack, since they are still nullifying the original attack.
Technique Name: Jeet Kune Do/Eskrima Concept Form Technique Category: Martial Arts Mastery Type: Supportive Range: N/A Technique Rank: 4 Description: Sai Uchiyama taught Jeffery this system as a way of striving to continue the philosophy of individual self-expression through re-interpretation of combat systems through the lens of Jeet Kune Do, under the concept that it was never meant to be a static art but rather an ongoing evolution, and has incorporated elements from many other martial arts into the main fold of his teachings (most notably, grappling and Kali/Escrima material) based on Jeffery’s personal preferences and physical attributes.
Jeet Kune Do practitioners believe in minimal movements with maximum effects and extreme speed, while Eskrima students start their instruction by learning to fight with weapons, and only advance to empty-hand training once the stick and knife techniques have been sufficiently mastered. This is in contrast to most other well-known Asian martial arts but it is justified by the principle that bare-handed moves are acquired naturally through the same exercises as the weapon techniques, making muscle memory an important aspect of the teaching. It is also based on the obvious fact that an armed person who is trained has the advantage over a trained unarmed person, and serves to condition students to fight against armed assailants.
Many systems begin training with two weapons, either a pair of sticks or a stick and a wooden knife. These styles emphasis keeping both hands full and never moving them in the same direction, and trains practitioners to become ambidextrous. For example, one stick may strike the head while the other hits the arm. Such training develops the ability to use both limbs independently, a skill which is valuable even when working with one weapon.
A core concept and distinct feature of Filipino martial arts is the Live Hand. Even when as a practitioner wields only one weapon, the extra hand is used to control, trap or disarm an opponent's weapon and to aid in blocking, joint locking and manipulation of the opponent or other simultaneous motions such as bicep destruction with the live hand.
The system works by using different "tools" for different situations, where the situations are divided into ranges, which is kicking, striking, trapping, and grappling. Jeet Kune Do is not fixed or patterned, and was named for the concept of interception or attacking while one's opponent is about to attack.
Technique Name: Genius-level Intellect Technique Category: Mental Type: Supportive Range: N/A Technique Rank: 8 Description: He has spent years training and honing his mind to process multiple inputs and strategies making multitasking second-nature to him; and his predictions have rarely turned out to be wrong. He can formulate accurate plans even in combat to exploit his opponent's weaknesses to the fullest. He also has an immense deal of knowledge about nearly everything, ranging from psychology to other cultures, from history to forensics. Thanks to his bottomless longing for new notions, he is a fast learner with an impressive memory.
