Background Birthday: 12th of January Personality: An optimistic and easy-going guy. Yoshirou does his best to be a moral person and to excel at his job as a hunter, though he can be a thrill-seeker at times. In battle,he does his best to act as an honorable swordsman as per his father’s teachings. However, he has a tendancy to get extremely dedicated to something that he feels strongly about, such as his goal to free his imprisoned father. Origin: Yoshiro was born in York Shin City to the son of Japponese immigrant and a local woman. His father had been a master swordsman who taught him kenjutsu as he grew up and even enlisted him in a local dojo when he showed talent despite barely making a living wage. By the age of 9, Yoshiro had easily become one of the strongest swordsman in the dojo, though he was still no match for his father. When Yoshiro was 12, a blacklist hunter by the name of George Tanbai arrived at his home, revealing that his father had been responsible for the murder of a group of the emperor’s elite soldiers before leaving Jappon some thirty years earlier and that he has come to hunt him. Not wanting to endanger the lives of his family, Yoshiro’s father bid farewell and gave himself up willingly. Not wanting to lose his father forever, Yoshiro decided to do whatever he could to get into Jappon and negotiate his father’s freedom. Realizing that the best way to do that was to be a hunter, Yoshiro went to take the exam but failed to pass the first test. He spent the next few years training rigorously alongside his friends at the dojo until finally deciding to retake it and succeeding in passing when he was 15. He then headed to Jappon after passing where he began to search for his father but stopped in order to learn nen from a nen trainer sent by the association (like Wing). He spent a year in Jappon searching for his father before finally finding him imprisoned in a place far out of reach even for a hunter. He continued to negotiate until being allowed to at least speak with his father, who told him that he had indeed done very terrible things and deserved to be imprisoned. After exchanging words, Yoshiro agreed to give up his quest and left Jappon, first returning home to share what he had learned with his mother and dojo and then began his career anew as a Contract Hunter- doing difficult work for various corporations in order to be able to travel the world, though he always returns home to visit his family and friends between jobs. Wields a halberd in combat, and is not capable of thinking for itself or understanding the words of others besides its summoner. (One use only) Stats (60): Aura: 11; Might: 14; Agility: 10; Endurance: 14; Accuracy: 11 -Green potion (Consumable): This potion is a bit of a two bladed sword: drinking it suppresses one‘s sense of pain and exhaustion for 10 of his or her posts, allowing the user to fight on in situations where he would normally pass out from pain and/or exhaustion this however is the large danger of the portion as well: the user becomes unable to realize the extent of his wounds. They will in most cases worsen the user‘s over all condition and might even endanger his life. -11 Event Tokens -Firestar Grenade (Consumable): A grenade which can be thrown into the air above a target. It will then explode and rain down a storm of multicolored star-shaped fireballs down on the area beneath it within a 10 meter radius for one minute. -1 Steroid Pill (Consumable): A pill that, when consumed, will give the user a +3 buff to all stats for 2 posts or about 5 minutes IC but, once the effect is over, will give them -2 to all stats for 10 posts afterwards. -1 Firecracker (Consumable): A type of flash grenade created by the Fyrebrand Corps for combat use. It basically consists of a small spherical device that, when thrown, will explode with a bright flash of light to confuse and disorient those that see it. Anyone who sees this flash will suffer -5 Accuracy for two posts. -1 Pumpkin Grenade (Consumable): A mini Jack-o-lantern-shaped item with a bright orange glow inside its core. When thrown, it will release a burst of nen which detonates with the force of a grenade. -Dark Amulet (Rank G): A cursed gold trinket said to occasionally guide the wearer to what they desire most in their hearts, but in exchange apparently brings extreme bad luck proportional to the value of that treasure or information. Use cautiously. -Cursed Glove (Rare) : An old leather glove worn on the right hand which, when worn, is said to protect the user’s hands from extreme heat or cold without affecting their dexterity. It’s believed to have a mind of its own, however, and can get the wearer in trouble when worn. Arsenal: -Katana -Fyrebrand Warspinner: A new weapon being tested by the Fyrebrand Corps which is normally held in a boomerang-shaped sheath. The weapon can be withdrawn by the hilt and then swiped forward while holding onto a trigger so that the blade portion will be launched in the direction aimed at while spinning at high speeds. Releasing the trigger will cause the spinning blade to split into a dozen smaller spinners that will then detonate into a series of weak, but numerous explosions when another button on the hilt is pressed. -Spear: A 5' long wooden hunting spear with a barbed steel tip designed for piercing the target and causing severe bleeding. It can either be used in close combat to great effect or thrown to puncture the target from afar. -Spectral Axe (F-Rank): A weapon crafted through nen which appears as an axe made purely of glowing energy when active. It normally exists as an engraved bracelet, which the wearer can concentrate their nen on to summon/dismiss the axe in their hand at will, though they suffer -2 aura as long as it is present. The axe has no special abilities beyond that and can only be wielded by the wearer of the bracelet. Spectral Axe -Snowcraft Staff (Rank G): Part of the Snowcraft set, a sturdy staff designed by the Workshop which is famous as a well-made and balanced weapon that is light weight yet strong and durable. Snowcraft Staff -Arms Inventory (Rank F): A device created by the Workshop similar to a pocket except it functions mainly as a weapon storage device capable of carrying up to 5 weapons (each slot can be adjusted depending on the type of weapon wishing to be stored) and also includes a compartment in the front that stores smaller objects. Hatsu Techniques Technique Name: Roar Type: Transmutation Technique Category: Offense Technique Rank: 3 Description: Transmutes his aura into a vibrating substance, giving it a gray tint and making it deal increased damage similar to a chainsaw- vibrating what it strikes to increase the range of what it would normally be able to cut and simply doing more destructive damage as well as quickly grinding anything it is held up against. Conditions: -Can only be used on a katana. -Must perform a brief, but slowed down and showy practice sword style where he swings his sword around against an imaginary opponent like a swordsman training to use a move in a dojo before he can activate it for five posts. -If he kills a person while using this technique, he must pray for them by the end of day (before midnight) else he cannot use this ability for four days for every person killed. -Cannot be used when another of his hatsus is active. Range: A powerful swing of his sword can make the vibrations travel up to five meters through air before losing the majority of its destructive power. Cooldown: 10 Posts Technique Name: Slip Type: Transmutation Technique Category: Support Technique Rank: 3 Description: Transmutes his aura to give it friction-reducing properties, allowing him to move at full-speed more easily without worrying about even minor amounts of drag. His aura glows faintly green when active. Conditions: -Can only use it on himself and items he is carrying/wielding. -Must enter a seated, non-violent meditative stance before he can activate it. -The ability is active up to twice the period of time he was in the meditative stance, starting immediately after it ends. -At the end of the day (before midnight), he must perform one ceremonial practice swing of his sword for every minute that the ability was active for that day. Failure to do so means that he will be unable to use the ability for one week. -Cannot be used when another of his hatsus is active.
