× General Information
Name: Sieg Seteras Gender: Male Age: 16 Height: 5 ft 11 Weight: 60 kg Species: Human Appearance: Sieg has a mess of pale brown hair, very rarely cut and a natural 'pretty-boy' look thanks to his good genetics. While he has the appearance of a calm, dignified 'prince' type he's actually prone to bouts of extreme emotion so take his appearance with a pinch of salt. He can go from handsome to shouting with a pointed finger in a matter of seconds. His eyes are an off green colour, a little too vivid and comically similar to his namesake. He's got a random assortment of scars across his left arm as he injured himself plenty training to fight, while he could usually shield his right arm his left bore the brunt of the abuse.
Clothing-wise, he wears a rough assortment bought from the first shop he came across. He has sturdy brown ankle boots with shiny metal buckles across them and a rounded steel cap, dark blue trousers with multiple pockets tucked into the boots and a big leather belt with a large buckle. Other than that he has an airy red buttoned down shirt on his torso, the sleeves rolled up to his elbow and on the back a black tribal symbol stitched into it. He's also got a loose black belt looped around his waist with a secondary loop in which he shoves his bokkens for carrying purposes. His backpack is particularly huge to accomodate the extra weapons he intends to pick up.

Profession: Aspiring Hunter/'Master' Swordsman Reputation: 0 (Rank H)
Background
Birthday: April 2nd Personality: Sieg is quite hard to pin down personalitywise because he tends to be wildly inconsistent. He's quite generous, kind and generally pleasant enough to everyone that he has an easy time making friends with his boyish looks and general charm. That is unless he's fighting. In which case he suddenly becomes vicious, focused and will unleash the whirlwind on his opponents. If driven to take up arms, Sieg will be focused, brutally efficient and usually end the battle in a matter of moments rather than minutes. Of course, this was before he entered the world of the hunters and Nen battles, he's finding himself suffering a little with big fish in a little pond syndrome. He's brutally honest though so he does tend to admit when he's outclassed.
He has a strange attitude to battle, even though he's barely ever trained to use a sword his natural pre-disposition made him an incredibly talented swordsman at his first try. Yet he nearly always uses a bokken or an improvised weapon re-inforced with Nen. While it would be possible for him to obtain a decent cutting blade, he seems quite content to fight dangerous foes armed only with a bit of wood. The lack of cutting edge makes it much harder for him to kill an opponent through wounds, but because of Sieg's personality he considers that a bonus. He doesn't desire to kill people, except in very rare occasions so the fact he has a natural handicap seems fair to him.
He's probably a little arrogant about his swordsmanship, he's good but my gosh doesn't he know it. This confidence is useful for psyching out opponents but any skilled warrior will soon realise he's direly under-trained and only coasting on his natural skills. Amusingly, if it isn't related to swordmanship he's an incredibly slow learner, he's really a one-trick pony in that regard.
Origin: Siegel Seteras, most commonly called Sieg, did not spend his childhood learning martial arts or living rough in the wild. No, Sieg is that irritating thing, a genius. He did only the usual physical labour but his muscles recieved almost three times the normal benefit, he even managed to get a basic understanding of Nen before he was officially 'awakened' but despite his strength Sieg was always average as a fighter. He knew what he was doing, don't get me wrong, in a brawl he tended to achieve victory through sheer force of will to keep swinging that was until the one day while fighting some bandits he accidentally grabbed one of their swords to counter-attack and in a flurry of movement cut all 5 of them down. Naturally, he was surprised and ended up throwing up violently over the horror of what he'd done but his skill had not gone unobserved, a visiting sword master saw him and declared to the village Sieg was to be his new pupil.
While Sieg had imagined this would involve a lot of sword swinging and complicated trickery the master instead told him he would have to learn that for himself. Confused, Sieg asked why but the old master simply smiled and said "For me to teach you movements now would be to paint a rose a red. You already posess all the knowledge and skills you require. What you need to learn is tactics and to control the flow of your 'Nen'" And so Sieg was taught the best ways to control the flow of his Nen. It took almost 3 months, he was quick to learn but Nen didn't come as naturally as the sword to him, though he thought it was odd. The master always wore a heavy cloak and only demonstrated moves with his right hand. When Sieg had a good grounding the old master nodded his head and told Sieg his ulterior motives for teaching the young man how to control his power "Sieg, my whole life I've spent searching for the 6 Legendary Swords. But ten years ago I suffered an injury, my left arm doesn't work any more and I can no longer hold a sword" "I use mine with one hand-" "I can no longer hold a sword, Sieg. And so I gave up on my dream but you... you can do it. Sieg, you have to do it, fulfil my dream! Become a Hunter!" "No, but, even if you say that I have no idea where they are-" "If you rather you could pay my tuition fee. It'll be 9 billion Jenni" "... When's the next exam, you old geezer"
And so Sieg leaves his humble village, for bigger and better things back to emotional and literal blackmail. Still, he can use this opportunity to get better at his swords. History:
Backpack Jenni: Leave this area blank. Equipment: A cellphone, a maintenance kit for weaponry, a laptop and a survival kit. Arsenal: Two wooden bokkens he uses in place of actual metal weapons. Unexpectedly, they cost the same as one metal sword.

Basic Nen Techniques
Hatsu Affinity: Re-inforcement
[6/6] [0/0]
Hatsu Theme: Blade Master General Hatsu Description: Sieg's abilities are all themed around re-inforcing and improving his weapons as well as bringing out their latent abilities if the weapon in question is special in some way. Generally speaking, his techniques do not require a sword to perform, they also work with any other inanimate object he can hold in his hands and swing. General Hatsu Conditions: Sieg must be using a sword or other foreign object to perform his techniques, while he can fight usually with re-inforcement and Ren he needs a weapon to perform his moves.
Hatsu Techniques Technique Name:Tai (耐) Type: Support Technique Category: Re-inforcement Technique Rank: 4 Description: Tai meaning resist is a personalised Shuu technique, rather than just using the sword as an extension of his body, Sieg also re-inforces it almost twice as much as a regular shuu would. It's the logical extension of the rock breaking exercise, only now it involves using a fairly solid bit of wood to break metal 1000 times. This is mostly how he's able to fight with wooden weapons against metal ones that would naturally win. Conditions: Fairly obviously, has to be done with a weapon Range: short Effect: Sieg's weapons become far more solid and almost impossible to break. Cooldown: The effect usually lasts for around 30 posts after Sieg charges them, so the cooldown doesn't come into effect often but were he to be disarmed he'd need to wait 2 posts to charge something else up. Technique Name: Atsu (圧) Type: Offensive Technique Category: Re-inforcement Technique Rank: 4 Description: Atsu (meaning pressure or force) is Sieg's modified version of Kou to focus on his weapons. It uses the same basis as Kou (though perhaps even more dangerous as the aura is nearly all focused into his weapons rather than a body part) and is meant to be a far stronger strike. The aspect that makes this particularly dangerous is that Sieg can choose where the Kou is focused. He can either enhance the entire blade for one broad but powerful strike or focus his nen on a single spot so that the point of impact is far greater. This is intended to be a weapon breaker move but Sieg often balks at actually destroying a foes weapon as he knows how expensive they are. Conditions: Sieg can only do this with one sword, so his usual dual-wielding style is impractical and he self-imposed that he shouldn't break opponent's weapons without a warning Range: Short Effect: Massively condensed blow Cooldown: 2 posts for Sieg to massage his shoulder b]Technique Name:[/b] Tetsu (鉄) Type: Defensive Technique Category: Re-inforcement Technique Rank: 4 Description: Sieg uses a combination of his re-inforcing type Nen and his Ren to make his entire body as hard as iron. This is most useful as it usually means opponent's blades can't cut him and even large impacts only bowl him over and blast him away with little damage. As a bonus, he can activate on pure reflex and maintain it for around 3 posts. Conditions: He can't move. By using Tetsu, Sieg hardens his bones, muscles and aura so that attacks can't penetrate. But having incredibly solid muscles means he can't actually move them so it's purely defensive. It also takes one post to de-activate. While he can activate it instantly, he can't just switch it off it has to dwindle naturally so from the time he chooses to drop it he has to wait effectively meaning his opponent gets a post where Sieg can't move or take damage to do what they like. Range: Short Effect: Siegs body and aura become incredibly tough but he loses the ability to move while it's active Cooldown: 3 posts, it's pretty straining × Non-Nen Techniques[16/16]Techniques Technique Name: Any Sword'll do Technique Category: Martial Arts, Sword Type: Offensive primarily, mixed with defensive Range: Short? Technique Rank: 8 Description:The one thing Sieg's good at, using a sword. While he's had barely 2 hours formal training he's ridiculously skilled at using the blades. What he lacks mostly is experience and as he gains points in the skill it's from his experiencing enemy attacks and learning the most efficient response rather than him actually gaining ability. The condition for this appears to be his complete ineptitude at most other basic tasks. In terms of comparison, his style is difficult to place as it fluctuates between common kenjutsu, chinese broadsword, european broadsword, scimitar wielding, fencing and any number of other styles (perhaps why his rank is so high, it applies to any weapon he happens to be holding). ] Technique Name: Batter Up Technique Category: Martial Arts, Sword Type: Offensive primarily, mixed with defensive Range: Short to long Technique Rank: 4 Description:Sieg adjusts his stance to hold his weapon over one shoulder as he gets ready. The move's almost a parody of the traditional Iaido drawing style moves as when Sieg sees his moment to strike he swings his weapon and attacks with great ferocity and incredible speed. It's used primarily to knock emission style attacks back at the target and add even more speed to the energy attack. His low accuracy means he often misses the return volley and just stops the move hitting him. It's other usage is as a traditional iaido style cut diagonally down to cleave the foe in half, though with wooden weapons its more likely he'd break a collarbone ] Technique Name: Spiral Drive Technique Category: Martial Arts, Sword Type: Offensive Range: Medium Technique Rank: 4 Description: Sieg's sole 'serious' technique, as in a sword technique that is actually intended to be used to injure an opponent. Unlike Batter-up, it requires two swords to perform, one held in reverse grip and one forward. Focusing Nen into his legs, Sieg springs forward with greatly enhanced speed and shifts the aura into his arms and weapons as he starts spinning, one weapon held forward and one held over his side. The attack creates an effective spiral of wood or metal with very few openings. The goal is to impale and twist the foe or 'run over' the opponent and batter them down. Because of his nen, this move can also be used to 'drill' through solid rock with his re-inforced weapons
