Tsunayoshi walked the streets of Cinema town. One of his first stops on his journey for adventure. He had missed the chance to try out for the latest Hunter Exam due to Dojo reasons. He couldn't help but think this town was amazing. The multitude of flashing lights, the attire people where wearing everything was covered in Neon signs. Hell even some of the clothes people where wearing were covered in bright lights and vibrant colors. If anything he had to cover up his eyes sometimes when people with glowing shirts got to close to him. Not to mention the disgusting harlots in the town. Most of them looked well disgusting but those where the ones near the train station. Tsuna could only guess that they thought they would have more luck if they branched and whore'd themselves out around the arriving tourist. He sighed to himself as he wiggled his way through tons of harlots, drug users and alcoholics. Despite the few 'unwanted' around him Tsunayoshi would keep on going further into Cinema Town. He wouldn't let them stop him from having fun. The day was pretty nice if anything and it was mid day, thus the sun was just begging to set leaving a fiery red, orange and yellow hue over the city, despite all the other neon signs that is. As he looked up he could only see large buildings some of which looked really cool and some of which looked really strange... As he walked he heard someone screaming "Quite on set!" As he looked around to see where it was coming from he saw someone land on the ground. The man's body shattered and seemingly exploded as it hit the pavement. Cinema Town was known for its great movies and effect making. But Tsunayoshi didn't think that was an effect. Unless it was a really good replica of a human used for the stunt. The blood splattered across the pavement. Edited by coreith, Apr 11 2012, 07:52 AM.

Tsunayoshi was shocked but as he looked around everyone simply went on as if nothing happened. As if someone didn't just fall tot their deaths in front of them. "Well that wasn't in the script." A voice sad the same one he heard earlier. "Call the body clean up crew! We've got another dead guy." The man said causally. "If these guys keep dropping bodies near my movies sets all the time I'm going to end up losing time to shoot my movie. And that means i wont get my money!" The man said so poise and causally which then turned into a burst of outrage when he mentioned money. It was as if the man cared not for what just happened but more so that he would lose money because of it. Tsunayoshi was applaud at this fact and could only stand in awe as the clean up crew came to remove the scattered remains of the person. One even shoved past him to pick up what seemed to be a random part of the persons body near Tsunayoshi's leg. He however didn't even notice it was there and could only seem a bit shocked as he stepped back. Upon further inspections of the situation Tsunayoshi couldn't believe that someones body would just exploded and scatter like that upon impact with the ground as he looked up the buildings around him weren't really as big as the others in the town and thus for the most part the sunset was a lot more beautiful here. One of the reasons he came this way was because of that. And its probably one of the reasons the man making the movie decided to shoot here as well. A fiery sunset only to cast down on the remains of a man. A crime that seemed to be less like suicide and more like homicide by the minute. "Just what is this world coming too." Tsunayoshi said as his once bright smile dulled into that of a frown. |

Orion had been in Cinema Town for a while now, about a week or so, and in that time he had definitely seen some strange things. For starters -on his first day here no less- he had almost found himself in the middle of a movie at one point, had almost found himself roped into the starring role of some terrible amateur horror movie. It was only through a quick deployment of his Hatsu that he had managed to avoid that situation, by directly controlling the director of the film he had managed to make the man not only avoid casting Orion in the flick but also give him a look at the script. He had even made a few changes -after making the director let him make the changes of course- before telling the director to maybe try a new line of work. Sadly he had disengaged his Hatsu before he had done that last bit, because the man had looked at the changes and immediately crossed most of them out, leaving Orion to shake his head and depart in annoyance at the fools he had already encountered here. Beyond that encounter however he had been approached by no less than four cinema scouts, three talent agents and seven actors, all of whom had said he would be amazing for the business. The first two groups had been quite insistent on him coming with them, it was only by actually headbutting one particularly insistent one that Orion had managed to leave with his hide intact, though he had had to vacate the bar he was in a short while later when the owner had come down personally and said he couldn't assault the locals. It was no big loss though, he'd actually scored with one of the actors who had said his face would be great on the big screen. He'd almost felt bad about it too, she had thought he was as drunk as she was and so had come onto him, and saying no had felt right at first but he had overcome that impulse shortly. Still, as he had left her the next day -she was the one who kicked him out amusingly- she had said she was serious, Orion should be an actor. But Hunters don't become actors, not the ones with self-respect at any rate. However it was on this day, the seventh day of Orion's time here in Cinema Town, that the strangest things began to happen. As he had been passing down one of the main streets in the Town he had found himself a little taken aback as a body fell from seemingly nowhere, shattering into trillions of pieces as it hit the pavement. Not only was that strange in itself but the fact that a bunch of people came up with some nonchalant attitude and then moved off without even really caring that a body had just been essentially dumped in the middle of the street. Looking up and around, Orion locked eyes with another young man, who made some vaguely generic comment about the world and the state of it, to which Orion found himself shaking his head. "It's not the world friend," he said with a rueful twist of his mouth, "It's this place." |

And then another body went flying. Only this body was distinctly still in tact and squishy. it also fell from less of a distance and had a boot print on its chest. It was a mohawked thug who was looking worse for wear. Someone had kicked the shit out of him. The origin of his flight could be traced to an apartment directly above where Orion and Tsuna were easily identifiable by the second thug, this one with more piercings than places that should be pierced, who went sailing through the air landing on the first. Then a third one one, some half naked fatso, went tumbling out the door followed the prettiest, most serene looking white haired boy the world had ever seen. His magenta eyes stared daggers at the poor fat bastard as he backed up towards the fire escape. "Slavery's illegal you know? Especially when you're trying to sell little girls as sex slaves. You're the worst sort of person." The fat man tried to run but blood spurted from his legs as if the tendons had been cut. He couldn't see what happened but the astute hunters bellow probably could. Something black darted past his legs and slashed them causing the portly asshole to tumble. He fell down to the next level and tried to crawl away till the white haired youth leaped and landed on the man's legs stopping him dead. He then kicked him in the side causing him to roll over. "I'm not allowed to kill you right now, you should be thankful. However for what you've done I'm going to have to punish you a bit before the police I called arrive ok~?" the white haired youth's voice was cheerful as there was a shnk sound. Knives slide into his hand which he flipped open. Before the fat man could do anything he found his balls severed by the expert knife movements of the mysterious youth. "Damn, that's going to come out of my pay. Oh well. I guess its microwave ramen for me for another month" Rhode stepped on the bleeding crotch of the now passed out man as he calmly walked down the fire escape to street level. His knives vanished back up his sleeves and he walked towards Orion. "What is the Laughing Demon doing in a town like this? I thought I was the only hunter roped into clean up here?" Even as Orion spoke those auspicious words, a loud crash could be heard overhead and a glance upwards showed a second falling body, one that Orion was able to follow downwards as it fell. This body was similar to glimpse of the first one that Orion had gotten in some ways, it was male and an adult, seemingly well built and with a shocked expression on his face. However the differences ended there, mainly because the body this time fell to the ground and simply bounced once before lying there, unmoving and definitely not shattered. "Oh?" Orion exclaimed softly to himself, his attention drawn away from the other man and onto the fallen body, to which his aura began to activate slowly as he focused on it, the pressure drawn into his eyes in order to make sure nothing amiss was going on here, "What have we here now, you're not connected to that first man." A second body came flying from the window a moment later then though, a body that fell quite heavily atop the first and actually made the Hunter chuckle a little as he saw it. It was quite a shot for whomever had thrown them from the window, because there was no doubt in mind that they had had some help in going from two storeys up, to on the ground in an instant, a hypothesis that was confirmed by a voice from on high that followed a third body to the ground, a half-naked man who was quite fat and who seemed scared out of his evidently tiny little mind. However it was as the fat man began to sprout bloody cuts over his whole body that Orion's interest was truly piqued, for the aura focused into his eyes through the technique called Gyou had given him an insight into what was going on that seemed somehow familiar to him, from somewhere he wasn't quite able to place. "I've heard of attacks like that before," he mused until another young man with white hair leaped down and the information clicked in Orion's mind, "And that's where." Watching with a casual sort of interest now that he knew what was going on, though he did grimace slightly at the casual sort of way the guy eunuch'd -for want of a better term- the fat man quite effectively. His smile though was fierce enough to show he approved, and he nodded politely to the one who was so surprised to see him here in Cinema Town. "That's a nickname I haven't heard in a while," he said with a chuckle, "Especially coming from the Fairy Boy of the Hunter Organisation. I'm just here on a general sort of visit, seeing the sights and all before I get bored and head back to some place that isn't so genuinely barbaric. What about you? How much more of a mess have you got left to clean up before you can head to greener pastures?" |

Rhode waved his hand back and forth as if he took the moniker 'Fairy Boy' as praise, "Flattery will get you everywhere my friend. Sadly there's much work to be done here but my job is essentially complete once the cops arrive. I just have to go and track down the buyers on the list I got from this fatass and then I'm so done with this shithole" he then reached into his pocket and pulled out a slip of paper and waggled it to highlight his point. It was only then that he noticed two things, one that there was blood on his shoes and two, that there was a rather nice clothing store across the street. The latter one drew his attention immediately as he zipped off to window shop and generally be far more effeminate than any male had any right to be. At least he didn't shake his ass or anything. After several long minutes he returned to Orion and grinned rather like a cat. "By the way, while I'm here I ran across something you might find interesting in this little black book..." he produced a small address book from his other pocket and waved it under Orion's nose. Not difficult since Orion had a good eight inches on Rhode so waving anything in his face would have been under eye level anyway. He then pulled the book back before Orion could snag it and waggled his finger. "Tsk tsk tsk, I'll share the information with you of course, for a price. Namely a new pair of shoes since mine have this assholes crotch blood all over them. Gross. So gross. Really gross... really. Do we have a deal?" Edited by Seraph, Apr 19 2012, 09:25 PM.

It was with an amused smile that Orion listened to Rhode's reply, and an even more amused one that he noticed the disgruntled and disgusted expression on his face as he saw his slightly bloodied and marred clothes. Rhode, Orion remembered, was as irritable as he was when it cames to his clothes and Orion actually found himself looking down at his own clothing to make sure none of it had splattered on himself as well. Which it had not, so all was well. "Well on the plus side at least it's nearly over," he said with a small shrug, "I mean, breaking up a child sex ring was it? Well, that's not something most people would look down on you for except the people who partook in it, and if you want some help finding their customer list," he squatted down and lifted up the head of the unconscious fat man, not activating his hatsu yet though, "I'd be more than glad to help. That kind of thing is an abomination." However Rhode's words reached him then, he had been too amused at thinking about how to make the man wake up and talk, and he cocked his head to one side as he heard that. Information he would be interested in? That was a very broad statement, almost too broad one might think as though it was designed to make him listen to the hyperbole, as an Information Hunter by trade he was interested in all information, regardless of topic. However the tone of Rhode's voice had been more intent, more personal, though that might have just been because he was annoyed about his clothes. Orion however, was a curious man by trade, and so he took the bait. "That's a curious statement my friend," he said with a laugh, "After all I'm interested in all information, regardless of context, so what kind of information could you have that would warrant me wanting to buy you a brand new outfit? Especially since we could trade, my skills for your information, so you can get out of your responsibilities in this shit hole of a city that much faster?" He was just bargaining though really, since he was quite inclined to buy Rhode a new outfit because those blood stains were kind of hard to look at seriously. |

Rhode put a finger to his lip and thought it over a minute. How could he best phrase what he had to offer? Then he thought for another minute and shrugged. Orion seemed to be willing to trade so he let slip the information he had to further hook the taller white haired fellow into buying him a new pair of boots. "Your mother" is all Rhode said. It was probably all he needed to say to interest Orion. Rhode knew the man was hunting for his mom's killer. Hell, when Rhode first heard the story he wanted to hunt the person down himself. Fortune or chance had given him the means to do Orion a solid. Of course Rhode didn't do anything for free, well, at least he made it seem like he didn't. A new pair of boots wasn't free sure but he could have held out for something more from Orion. "Buy me some new boots and I'll let you take a peek at what's in the black book about your mom." A kind of shock came over Orion as he heard the words uttered by Rhode, the first two at least, the kind of shock that only accompanies someone who hears something that can potentially change their life. Over the past three years -since obtaining his Hunters License actually- Orion had had many chances to do things to increase his standing, his reputation, he had had the kind of chances that other beginning Hunters would only dream of. He had been offered positions in rescue teams, black hunter teams, research teams and tracking teams, all by men and women he had known while he was growing up. However he had turned down most of them because his only goal for now, his only goal as a Hunter for now, was to find out what had happened to his mother on the night she had vanished. He rememberd the night that followed it so clearly it was the kind of thing that was burned into his soul, the night he had found her again after only one day of looking. But it was that second night, that night where his world had been shattered completely by a single act, that had forged Orion into an Information Hunter. If some of those positions he had been offered hadn't have been from men and women whom he owed his life to he likely wouldn't have taken some of those jobs at all, and some of them he had accepted simply because he had hoped to find information that was relevant to what he was after. Most people in the Organisation knew this, knew of the personal crusade of the Puppeteer from Jappon who had been one of only three people to pass the Hunters Exam three years ago. Most experienced Hunters did anyway, people who he met or who passed through areas just after he did. It was a worldwide crusade for the young man, to find out what had happened, and for Rhode to drop this bomb when he had met Orion before and knew how important it was to him. Well, this was no flippant matter. "Alright," Orion said though in a level tone, "I can do that. If the information is good enough I'll even throw in some help for you with your mission, since I'm just that nice." And with that he rose from his crouch and headed over towards the clothes shop, internally roiling while externally calm and relaxed. "So what kind of shoes do you want?" |

Rhode quickly grabbed a pair and toss them to Orion as if he had planned this all along and had strung Orion along. "Those. Same brand as my current ones though much nicer and with a steel toe. Should make kicking things hurt more" his tone had taken on a matching one to Orion. It was business time once the boots were bought and Rhode could trash the old ones. ~ A short while later Rhode was sitting across from Orion in a cafe the two used their hunter IDs to get a private room in. Presumably Orion had also used his hatsu to keep uninvited guests away. Rhode tossed the book on the table and flipped it open. Inside were a list of names and addresses. Some were crossed out with a red pen and others circled. There was brief info under some of them. The name in particular that stuck out was Theresa Illiar. The name was X'd out with a red line which meant dead presumably. "Its a hit list and list of individuals involved with the slavery ring" Rhode said as he sipped at his tea. "From what I can tell Ms. Illiar, your mother, was investigating the slave trade in Jappon which connects back to the one I busted here in Cinema town. My guess is this thing runs deeper than just the trade. Sure people get killed over things like this but a hunter like your mom? Not likely. She found something big, something she got iced for" he said between sips before he placed the cup back down. Rhode grabbed the buyer list from his pocket and opened it up and pointed to a name on the list, "I would have gone to the Nen police with this since I suspect a criminal organization is involved but this is why I didn't. Recognize the name? Its the name of a high ranking Nen police officer." He then pointed to another name on the list with one hand and thumbed through the small address book with the other before placing it down again. "And this guy's on the council with other high ranking hunters. I bet you 200 jenni he's the one who sent your mom on the investigation mission that killed her."
