Meh, we know quite a bit about how the USSR worked, but then it was a global superpower and the largest country on earth.
The easiest comparison would be with Yugoslavia, because when that fell, a load of wars broke out over which racial groups got which areas. But even still, we know a lot how the society worked.
If your referring to the colonization period (southerm africa, native america) or ancient civilizations such as rome, greece, persia, egypt or the holy roman empire then its a completely different scenario, its another age.

Actually that's because the collapse of the USSR was relatively peaceful, something most like not to happen in North Korea.

Which is why I referenced Yugoslavia? The 1990s Balkans Ethnic Cleansing? And anyway, why are we being all doomsday, the 5 year plan and the cultural revolution didn't cause an uprising, :/

This may not even escalate, but i wreckon by 2100 there almost definately won't be the present North Korea.

Yugoslavia was a totally different situation, though. While both Yugoslavia and North Korea were/are filled to the brim with moronic nationalists, North Korea's population is highly unified.

North Korea would never invade the south. It knows there is the US down there.
