Yesterday I reconfigured my hard drive, which is something I do every 6 months or so. when it came time to re-download the files I needed, I downloaded Hamachi, and it gave me the "Holasearch Virus". Holasearch is a form of malware that hijacks your browser, and ultimately will share your data, an slow down your computer to a crawl. I am in the process of getting rid of it manually, because it is designed to evade most anti-viral programs. Just be VERY careful when downloading Hamachi, I am also in the process of writing them a VERY nasty e-mail.

Addendum: No one was of any help, so I contacted Holasearch itself. Apparently they have an undeserved reputation as malware. They walked me through getting rid of their software without any hassle, and after doing a scan with Malwarebytes and going through my directories manually, it is indeed gone. But still be careful, they do share information with advertisers, so get rid of it asap if you stumble into their web.
