If you are wondering why I am so happy, it is because I just bought Europa Universalis 3 Complete on Steam. While everybody else I know is ranking up on Black Ops, I'll be leading my nation to victory in this game. I am also really psyched that Civilization V is on Steam for the Mac. Not like I will be able to play it on my computer or anything, but I never know when I will get a new computer. That is my enough happiness to last me this long weekend. :D

Oh, and I won't be able to post videos for, well, perhaps quite a while due to storage issues. Also reason why I need a new computer. 120 gigs ain't gonna cut it anymore. So yeah. Consider this like a 'blog' post. We should do more of these. It's fun.

I'm happy to hear this! I might be getting Europa Universalis 3 after I get my new computer, probably in January, so you'll have to tell me how it is. 120 gigs isn't bad--my computer only has 40! However, I do have a 250GB external hard drive. I get through it by deleting all the raw video after it's been uploaded and saving the finalized files to the external hard drive (although not every episode is backed up--a chunk of the Colonization Map LP, some of the Sims 2 extras, and all of ASMT have no backup)

Blog-like posts are cool and I agree we should do more! I'd do one myself but, well, I have the Suddenplant show for that!

Hehe, EU III is a fantastic game, I recently bought it myself as well. I was playing as Austria, and some really weird stuff happened...for instance, England deflected from Great Britain, Prussia colonized Indonesia, conquered a lot of Europe, Ireland colonized parts of America, the Ottoman Empire was utterly crushed, Spain and Russia never formed etc.
It is such a great game, although the ending was really disappointing to me. The game just ends and summarizes what happened in the past 500 years or so.
And yes, Civ V was released for Mac. However, I don't know if I'll buy it, since it seems to be crashing a lot.

Cool guys! I am so indulged into the game after one day, even if I haven't been getting very in depth. When you hear what this game is about, your first reaction would be to compare it to the Civilization games. And then you take a look at the game and see that it is completely different. Very in depth, and I think the guys at Paradox Interactive have made a stunning game (although they probably know that considering that they are working on a fourth expansion pack).

Continuing my rant, once you start playing the game, you feel VERY overwhelmed. You have to learn one concept at a time, which isn't that bad. After playing for a bit you start to understand the game and how it should be played. Of course I just started playing, so there are still some things I don't understand well like the HRE or the Papacy. I don't need to tell you this, but there's no reason not to.

Oh yes, it's VERY overwhelming =P
After a little while and a lot of failure, I started out on the easiest difficulty and then, it was a bit better. The problem is though, when you're not European, you'll have problems with tech, since the European tech tree is better then the others. But if you ARE European, the HRE will be a pain sometimes, since it's harder to gain territory. Oh, and I recommend not mixing cavalry and infantry armies. I've read it somewhere, and it's really been working out for me.
And with Austria, I just pumped all my research into Land tech at the start, since I didn't have any ports anyways =P
