is that effect your on about a filter? effects can be done in many ways but im really not sure what you mean.

That's beautiful, and extremely artistic. I may test this out soon, and I'll post my results upon completion. What am not too keen on is the swirly, overlapping her, so I may take that out when I do mine.

No. The 'effect' I'm referring to is either a fractal rendering as background, or a C4D. It's something to use as a quick effect, and if done right, can really enhance a piece.

Say you want a C4D that produces a good lined effect. You would drag the piece into your canvas, move it however you want, then set it on a good lighting mode, like Lighten or Linear Dodge. That would be the best way to make the C4D shine through. To make it a bit more subtle, lower the master opacity until it seems less obvious.

Wow! Love the effect you did around Freddy, and the subtle streamer around him really looks sharp. Who knew he could be immortalized in such an elegant way?

I've just started reading the tutorial and I'm having difficulties working out how to read the text.
