Horundul is a free-form fantasy, play-by-post role playing game based around an original world that is developed upon everyday, and has been (forum's age aside) for nearly five years. With a deeply developed story and well thought-out geography and history, Horundul is a world you'll surely want to inhabit.

The Keeper of History Posts: 48 Group: Resource Member #2 Joined: Oct 5, 2008	The Falls The Falls is a term regarding the two most significant events in Horundul's history - the divine wrath and punishment of man that, both times, nearly lead to the extinction of all life. Horundian Falls The First Fall of Man Circa 2000-3000 years ago, actual date unknown. Also known as "Day of the Trinity's Judgement" or simply "Judgement Day". After the mass corruption of the masses holding themselves as citizens of the kingdom of yore known as Archetype, the Trinity appeared in physical form over the center of the capital. A massive burst of energy lead to ripples of energy that tore nearly all major cities, roadways, and structures within a 7000 mile area, while leaving a shallow, 20-mile crater from ground zero. The coordinates of ground zero are unknown, as is much about this time in history. The Second Fall of Man Circa 800-1100 years ago, actual date unknown. Also known as "The Wrath of Three" or "Hellday". Due to a cult's mysterious activities, the Order of Three (and their subsequent demonic hordes) were released from atop a mountain (actual location unknown) in the Drag'hoon mountain range. The demons spread out throughout the then nomadic tribes, wreaking havoc. The Third Fall of Man Circa 350 - 400 years ago. Also known as "The Arche war" or "Night of the Black rain". The Arche Kingdom waged wars against the Elemental Nations. The nations quickly retaliated and fought back, Nine envoys of the gods leading them forward, as well as many other heroes. Both lands struggled very much, and went through a lot of trouble. When times looked bleak, the Nations stood up to the Arche kingdom and brought the fight straight to their capitol Dra'ron. They fought their way to the Arche King, one of the most powerful men in the world, capable of wiping out entire armies by himself. No records show what happened this night, but it was deemed as the "Night of Black rain", as when the conflict against the Arche king began, Black rain fell from the sky, and killed whatever it touched. Few were left from the rain, and migrated south, creating the Elemental Unity. Eboni tried to destroy the Unity in the name of the Arche Kingdom, and thus was stripped of it's Nation status. Eborlian Falls Night Of Sparkling Autumn Recorded 4300 years ago, actual date is unknown. A legendary night in Eborlian history, one of wonderment, and tragedy. A meteor streaked over the sky, and shattered into pieces, cutting through the ground, people, and homes like butter. Few were left after the massive storm of minerals. Many who didn't die got sick and died later on. The population diminished to almost nothing, although children seemed to be immune to the effects, and lived to continue life. Rise of the Mechry, Fall of humans Recorded 1200 - 1500 years ago, actual dates are unknown. Humans got ahead of themselves with technology, and created robots known as Mechry, that far surpassed them in terms of intelligence, that soon saw humans as foolish and began a war against them. Humans lost, as the Mechry could simply rebuild themselves. The Mechry wanted to negotiate with the humans, and when negotiations began, the humans attacked the Mechry leader and killed him. Furious, the Mechries went on a genocide and killed thousands of humans, until finally feeling bad for the humans, and allowed them to live under their rule. The human population was severely lowered, more than half of the population laying dead. Fall of Mechry, rise of humans Recorded 1200 - 1300 years ago, progressed over 100 years. The Mechry, constantly using the Crystai soon began to run short on Crystai and power, and consequently died because of this. Most of the humans, unsure of how to function without the Mechry rule, began searching for Crystai, finding many deposits in the ground. Digging it up, the began saving as many Mechry as they could, although most died before they could be saved. The Mechry population was highly diminished because of this, and they began building new Mechry. Edited by Spades, Jun 23 2009, 07:38:27 PM.
