This is a basic timeline of the history of Horundul and Eborl Horundul Time Line before 4500 years ago - most if not all records or traces of human civilization have been erased by either Falls. However, Runiks have kept several archives of the history before the First Fall. 4500-2500 years ago (Age of Corruption) - civilization explodes, after 1000 years leads to corruption of nearly all civilians. Giant city known as Archetype is built and grows, spanning outward from the current capital of the Arche Kingdom to south of the southern border of Vulken, the farthest south Nation. In the center of the city, the Trinity emerge from the heavens, and destroy all but the farthest extents of the city in one ferocious, all-destroying blast. Volcanic eruptions on opposite side of Horundul create permanent cloud cover that turned most of that side of the planet into an icy tundra. Has warmed in recent years. 2500-900 years ago (Age of Despair) - stricken by their gods' judgment, many people turn to worshiping the dark creatures of yore; demons are summoned and wreak havoc. After a little over 1400 years, central governing cult summoned the Order of Three deep in the mountains of Kaijeten. The Order then lets loose 400-year war of endless demonic armies, then disappear mysteriously. Humans break demonic armies soon after. 900-550 years ago (beginning of the Age of Prosperity) - Elemental Wars erupt between the elemental tribes that were scattered and regathered after the Demon Wars. Small nations form and combine, creating proto-countries that dispute over trade and borders for 400 years, even 50 years after the Treaty of Peace was signed that united them under Unity. Note: they are not one single nation, but a loose collection of nations. They benefit each other and the pact assures that any outside threats can be dealt with their summed fury. Also, a new charter is brought about that gives rise to the Arche Kingdom, at first a small, loose collection of tribes under the name "Arche". 550 years ago- Peace settled among the lands. Crime is down and general well-being is seen throughout the nations. The Arche Kingdom has risen and taken over small countries to north. Arcanism and Runism have developed and grown, and magic has taken on a new level above mere destruction. 400-350 years ago (Age of Destruction)- The Arche Kingdom attacked the Elemental nations. Upon the attack, Nine heroes arose to combat the Kingdom. When things seemed grim, a tenth and final hero arose and forced the army back. Many other heroes stood out in the crowd, and forced the Arche Kingdom back, destroying their very country. They made their way to the Kingdom, to take down the remaining forces. The records of what happened that day are destroyed, although it unleashed a dark rain upon the lands, killing the lands. The Arche Kingdom, the source of the rain, became a desolate destroyed area, incapable of supporting life, and became know as the "Cursed plains". The survivors found that the land in most areas of the Nations was incapable of supporting life as well. With their heroes gone, they migrated south towards the Belt of Sola in hopes to find new land. 350 - 50 (Age of Recreation)- With few survivors of the last fall, during the Age of Destruction, those remaining attempted to rebuild their cities. They became highly reliant on magic to help them build, to make up for the lack of man power. People slowly started to lose need for Clockwork children, and killed them for materials. With new cities and towns built, people started to relax, and started new lives. The Third fall of man, almost in the back of everyones mind, people started getting used to the peace. Envoys started appearing again, showing people that the divine forces did not abandon them, although the Ten heroes from the Third fall did not show themselves again. 50 - 2- The North, which had been completely ignored for years, had been melting ever since the Rain from Arche. The water, which had somehow been held back, broke through and came rushing down across the lands. It washed over the old Elemental Nations, presumably destroying it on its way past, and came flooding towards the new Elemental Nations. The power of the people created a barrier around their new home, diverting the water around them and causing it to rush over the Belt of Sola. Present- The Belt of Sola collapsed under the weight of the water, revealing underground tunnels that formed a new ocean. The citizens who had no records of what was across the Belt of Sola went to go see what laid across the heated waters. Eborl Timeline before 4500 years ago- A group of humans, not agreeing with another group, left to go start their own civilization. There are little records of what exactly happened, as well as it is difficult to say what exactly the other group was. They migrated South across the Belt of Sola before intense heat came. 4500 - 4300 years ago- Great kingdoms arose out of the ground and towns spread across the land. There was a great time of peace and prosperity. Little is documented from these times. 4300 years ago- A comet streaked across the Northern skies, and shattered in the skies above Eborl. The comet burst into what is now known as Crystai, and this date was named "Night of Sparkling Autumn". The falling Crystai killed many, and destroyed towns. The mineral sliced through the land like butter and created large deposits of itself in the ground. 4300 - 4000 years ago- Humans began discovering that the "Night of Sparkling Autumn" was not the tragedy they thought it was, as the Crystai could be used as an energy source. This is also the first recorded time a Crystalline was born. The people started to rebuild their kingdoms. 4000 - 2000 years ago- Humans quickly began to advance their technology forwards, using Crystai as the main power source. This is the first recorded time an Ilden was born, a mutated human that was not Crystalline, but had strange powers. It was believed to have been sent by demons, and records state that it was killed, although several more cases showed up. Ildens were thus outlawed and had to be killed at birth. 2000 - 1500 years ago- Humans made a huge technological leap as they learned how to create simple Mechry. The robotic humanoids quickly changed life, as more complex technology stemmed from them, such as weapons and devices, such as guns and radios. 1500 - 1300 years ago- Humans continued creating smarter Mechry with AI. The Mechry began to soon realize that serving humans was pointless and thus started a two hundred year war. The humans forces began running thin against the constantly rebuilding Mechry, and gave up. When negotiations began, the humans betrayed the Mechry and killed their leader. They killed thousands of innocent humans in the towns across the lands. The remaining human civilians gave into the Mechries power, and allowed them to rule the lands. The Mechry, seeing the dying human populations, created more Mechry that looked very human like to repopulate the cities. As humans still continued to die, the Mechry began purifying Crystai, and allowing humans to "equip" it, giving them qualities that resembled the Crystalline, and increased their life span. Ildens were still outlawed as the Mechry feared them just as much as the humans. 1300 - 1200 years ago- With the rise in humans, and their new Crystai, the Mechry soon found that their power supplies were running low. Near every Mechry died in all of Eborl during this horrible time. The humans watching their Crystai supply reach near depletion, began mining for more into the ground. They rebuilt the Mechry population, and they took control once again, although peacefully. They continued purifying the Crystai, although soon impure Crystai got out, and people started abusing its unstable power, driving them to insanity. 1200 - 500 years ago- More and more humans began using impure Crystai, driving them to points of insanity, as they began attacking others. The Mechry began to see this as a problem, and built mindless drones in order to stop the use of illegal Crystai. It caused a full out war between power hungry humans, and the calm Mechry who wanted nothing more than to help them. The illegal users were quickly crushed, although an underground was set up already, spreading around illegal Crystai. The Crystalline also began running thin, as people were killing them for power. The Mechry government ruled that they were to be preserved, and they started being treated as royalty. The Ilden, still treated like dirt and killed, started to actually grow for the first time in history. With the underground for illegal Crystai opened, people started smuggling Ilden children down so that they would not be killed. The Ilden became frequent users of impure Crystai, and usually died at an early age because of it. Sometime around 700 years ago, while mining, several Mechry found the 'Great Crystai'. This giant crystal was put on top of a tower in the center kingdom of Aren, where it still stands to this day. The Crystal seemed to pulse every 24 hours, totally revitalizing the Crystai in all of Eborl, aside from impure Crystai. Crystai mines also became rather thin, as it became increasingly more difficult to find the mineral. 500 - 2 years ago- The Mechry have become more technologically advanced, creating entire cities out of mechanics. Almost everything has Crystai worked into it, even though its supplies were running thin. Crystai became a very powerful thing of luxury and power, although the average person generally had one or two in a family. The underground still ran strong over the years, becoming more than just an illegal network of tunnels, but rather a home for many people, shunned by society. The Ilden also continued to live here, still banned from life. Present - The Belt of Sola, once a thing preventing anyone from passing the Northern border had a rush of water across it, causing it to collapse. Curious as to what laid across, many citizens began to wander to the other side, holding their Crystai close. Edited by Spades, Jun 18 2009, 07:13:58 PM.
