Character Information Name: Satana Augustus Grey Age: 27 Gender: Male Physical Description: *Insert link to super-awesome drawing I'll do later here* Satana has black hair and dark blue eyes. He has a light complexion, coming from the north and has artfully spiked hair. He has a short beard like a goatie and has a long-faced look. He has a rather pointy nose and several freckles across his nose. He's built like a whip, being thin and tall and very flexible. He has that look of seriousness about him that often pervades people like him. Sometimes he wears a cloth mantle with hood in black and a brown tunic with a pair of black trousers and others he wears a tight-fitting leather jerkin and pants for riding. It depends on the situation of whether it's really hot or not. He wears the cloth clothing when it's hot because leather tends to smell when he's hot. But always on his person, on his back or on his hands, are his twin swords. They are both identical in all but colour. One's white and the other's gold on the blade. Both have blue hilts. The blades are about four foot long and the hilts have a piece of metal that goes from the left (or right) side of the hilt to the pommel (bottom bit). These pieces of metal are spiked so that he can protect his hands and deal damage at the same time. These blades can connect together to make a two-bladed sword that is quite deadly when spun. The sword is named but not many people know it because he only says it upon the blade's activation. The blade is called 'Dymo da Eden' or 'Destroyer of Eden' in English. He is ominous in the sense that he has that air of a man that will not take no for an answer. His eyebrows seem to always been in a frown of concentration. He has that sort of thing going on when you can practically hear his theme music as he walks into a room. Well, not quite that but he does have presence and suchlike things. Personality: Satana is very serious as his looks would have you believe. But that doesn't mean he's devoid of a fun attitude to life. He knows when to get serious and when to joke around. He tends to be a man that has a 'no second chances' rule. That's one aspect of his personality that scares people the most. He'll give someone the chance to surrender or stop what they're doing before he proceeds in his efforts to stop them. When he's delivered his chance of redemption and been refused, he turns into this man who is not entirely human. He will fight the enemy with everything he has and without mercy. He's all happy and nice up to that first warning. After that he's serious and horrible. He's not a murdering maniac or even evil in any sense of the word. He does what he does either to save others or to stand fast in his own defence. He's a nice bloke overall but that one aspect of his personality is prominent. When he gets serious someone always gets hurt. Not exactly murderous but not a saint either. He doesn't hunger for a fight but will resort to one if it's the only way to advance on his quest to save Maria from the one thing that cannot be beaten: Death. He regrets his hand in the death of Maria and so is trying with all his might to revive her. He's not exactly nice when it comes to people talking about her. It's a very sensitive subject for him. He is wise about the ways of the wild. He knows herbs and such things and is very good with his blades. He is not very big-headed and so tends not to mention his talents much. Conversation is not his strongest aspect. He will often leave someone to care for a fallen comrade while he goes and looks for herbs that heal. He honestly doesn't care what people think of him because he's not exactly a person of that calibre. He is a very independent person and makes his own decisions. On a whole he's an OK guy. He does have an afflictive habit of taking on anyone who swaggers his way. In other words, he takes no shit. He tends to beat on anyone that interrupts him from his drink or food or any other amusement really. Be big-headed around him at your character's peril. History: Satana's birth and raising was lost somewhere. He grew up in some obscure place to the far north in the mountains. He was happy there until, for one reason or another, he and his wife left the mountains to move to mainland Horundul. They moved to a small cottage in Vulkan first then moved to just outside where the Unity headquarters are now. There they lived in their small village for quite some time. Eventually, Satana's rough-housing at the tavern got him into trouble. Men started coming round their house to threaten his wife and beat him while he was still drunk. They soon moved away when this happened. They continued to move around and around, never settling anywhere. But one night, when Satana was lying in a ditch somewhere, two men came to the household. As it turned out, the aspiring swordsman had pissed off the wrong people. The lord had put a price on the family and bounty-hunters soon came a-calling. Satana's wife defended herself rather brilliantly, knocking one of them into insensibility before she got a sword through the gut. She lay there for a good five hours before her ill-fated husband returned home. When he saw the carnage he was overcome with grief. He sat by her for four days, trying to decide what he should do. At first he wanted revenge. Then he wanted to kill himself and then he went back to revenge. Outraged, he ran down the hill towards town and placed himself before the Lord of the place. The lord saw how sad Satana was and decided to banish him from the township instead of executing him. Satana was less than pleased at this considering that he'd killed the men responsible that morning, bringing the heads as proof of his crime. The lord was very acquainting to the young man, even polite, and sent him on his way. Satana wandered for years, his spirit crushed. In just eight years Horundul had taken everything he had and crushed it. He felt so irrevocably responsible that he vowed to return Maria to the life she was denied. He instantly began to follow leads on resurrection and proceeded into the wide world with purpose once more. Combat Information Fighting Style: Satana uses Destroyer of Eden to attack. First he will start with the blades separated into two blades and will wield them accordingly. He will only fuse the blades into one if he absolutely has to. The Destroyer of Eden is a very dangerous artefact to have on you when you're fighting because it takes your energy to fuel its own attacks. These swords (or sword) are not to be trifled with because they are nearly indestructable and never dull. They never need care because of the way they were made. They are inherited from the chief of his tribe and made for him especially. They had spells weaved into them to make them thus. He is very skilled with a blade and very athletic. Since he's concentrated most of his life on swordsmanship he can't really wield anything else. His skills are very refined but he's helpless when using anything that's not a sword. The reason the sword must be wielded with care is because the blades take the user's energy in order to use the final attack. If the blades are full of energy from the user then he can use his special attack. It has to be on charge. If he's lucky, the blades would have energy from the last fight and he can fight as normal. This does happen a lot but not so often that he doesn't have to do anything to charge the blades. He can use the hilt as a pair of knuckle-dusters if the enemy get's close. As these are spiked they do hurt quite a bit and you'd need skin of steel to not be harmed by a direct hit. He has deadly fast reflexes that make this attack especially vicious. Strong Techniques: Grave of Maria: Note: Must be used after Bancesidine Charge. Your basic shout and the enemy is gone move. All he has to do is have Destroyer of Eden in its whole mode (or activated mode) and he can use this attack. Grave of Maria uses the stored energy of the blade to launch a beam of energy at the opponent. This attack is so powerful that it reduces him to his knees after usage. But it can also blast clean through a sheet of steel a half-foot thick. It can easily incinerate a person. Problem with this attack is that it requires charging in the fight and that it is a beam. This attack can be avoided quite easily if one is quick enough. If one was a big lumbering fella then they'd probably lose a limb. A quick willowy fellow will likely escape completely unharmed. To review, a blast of pure energy that can boil steel and incinerate foes but it's cripplingly strong and easily avoidable. Such a move has to be charged by ten minutes of fight before he can use it. By then he's either too tired to raise his arms and has to use it or he's won. Remember that the blades store the energy and he can use it later. The energy stored cannot be recovered after the battle. It stays in the blade. Bancesedine Charge: His only move that requires the energy of his blades aside for Grave of Maria. This move is not like the first. It reverses the energy transfer, absorbing the energy from the enemy then using it to make the slashes stronger. This attack can only be used in conjunction with Grave of Maria. It has to be used before GoM or the move will fail. Both will. This move has no attack strength on its own. It is in fact the instrument of Grave of Maria. He cannot launch an attack until Grave of Maria is used. In other words, this is a battery for Maria. This move is essential because it targets the opponent for Maria. In a very complicated and magical way, it uses the energy stolen from the opponent as a target ring. Otherwise the energy used of Maria will implode and hurt Satana. For both: These moves should in fact be different but for simplicity's sake I'm splitting them. This is the barest of bones description to clear any doubts you have: Step 1: Gather enough energy through regular fighting. Step 2: Use Bancesidine Charge and slash the enemy to gain a token of the energy stored in their blood. Step 3: Use both the energy of the enemy and energy in the swords together, shout 'Grave of Maria!' and watch the fireworks. Step 4: Fall to your knees, crippled by the attack, and hope to God that you've hit your mark. Step 5 (conditional): If you haven't, proceed to die in a timely fashion and curse the name of you enemy. Monologue is optional. |

I'm inclined to accept this. Great work on making your strong technique have some major flaws, at least. I will go ahead and accept it, but if Spades were to disagree, I'll bend to his will. xD Anyway, go on, let Satana get out there! |
