If you make your way down the snowy grounds you will find your new professor, Professor Miston, standing in front of the Creatures Building, just where she said she would be. Hopefully you are wearing warm clothes, because it is the middle of December, and no one but Professor Miston knows how long you will be outside for.
Orabelle was dressed warmly, and fashionably. Given, she had to wear her school robes but that did not mean she couldn't add to her disgusting school robes. Orabelle readjusted her scarf wound around her neck. Sadly, her house colors were green, had they been purple, she would be all over it. She tossed her hair over her shoulder, walking down towards the Creatures building. Professor Miston... new professor, she wondered if the professor was any good. Because if not then it would be pointless hiring the woman then. Orabelle's bag swung on her arm, she was never a big fan of the whole ginormous book bag thing that others thought were "cute". Cute was never something Orabelle did, stylish was what really mattered.
"Hello, Professor Miston," Orabelle said, flashing her a brilliant smile. Of course, it was Orabelle and she was absolutely brilliant, it only made sense that her smiles were as well.
Gemini walked down to the grounds with pale purple hair visible underneath her hat. Despite her startling appearance she was in a strangely good mood. She had read a book about Metamorphmagus and now, other than being able to pronounce it, she was feeling better about her ability. The book had told her about a bunch of career opportunities that would be made easier by being a Metamorphmagus. That did not mean that she was completely okay with it; she was still kind of scared and nervous about being unnatural. She was a witch, so Gem supposed that she would have to get used to it. Her hair had become light purple right before the beginning of lunch, and no matter how much she concentrated she could not get it to change back to normal.
As she walked down to the grounds she did not bring anything with her, because that was what the notice had said. She had read Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and she did not think she needed to bring it. She did have on thing, actually. She had the survey, and she clutched it carefully in her hands so she did not drop it and get it all wet. She was not sure when the professor wanted it, so she just kept it. "Good afternoon professor," she said with a shy smile.
Jessabelle walked to the Creatures building, excited to learn about animals, and excited about her new pet, she brought her ferret, which she still hasn't named, hopefully Gem would help her. Or someone else who was there. Setting him on her shoulder, she found Gem and smiled. "Hi Gem!" She said, and stood next to her. Smiling at the professor, she gave a slight wave, "Good morning, Professor, and welcome to Hogwart's." She said, feeling friendly. Turning back to Gem she grabbed her unnamed ferret. "Like him?" She said, petting her new little animal. "My Mum got him for me for Christmas." She said, then her eyes wandered to the other girl. It was that one that she saw at the tables during the Christmas ball.
Eric and Jessa He's the head boy, She's the Minister's daughter. Can you say "Perfect Couple"?
Misty smiled kindly at the students as they arrived. When she had first started teaching she had been nervous before a lesson, but that had been a long time ago and she was used to it by that time. Misty noticed that one girl brought an animal with her. That was unusual, but she thought it would be alright. It would just be a ferret. "You can bring your surveys up to me," she said with another smile. She had considered something, but had pretty much dismissed that thought so the surveys were pretty much useless, but the students did not need to do that.
Gemini turned around when she heard her name and smiled when she saw that it was Jessa. "Hello Jessa," she said cheerfully with a smile. When the professor told them that they could bring up their surveys she walked up to her and handed it over, then she went back to stand by Jessa. "Wow, that is so cool!" Jessa's mom had actually gotten her a ferret for Christmas. "Hey little guy." Gemini pet the ferret and it tried to nibble on her finger. Gem giggled, because it tickled. "He's fierce, isn't he? You should name him Dragon." She giggled again at the ferret because he was just so cute.
Orabelle opened her bag, pulling out her crisp, wrinkle-free survey out of the green bag. She handed it to the professor before noticing the rat on the girl. Orabelle wrinkled her nose at the sight of the disgusting overgrown rat. Who brought a rat to class and thought it was adorable? Oh right, the Minister's daughter apparently; one would think that they were raised by those filthy creatures. "Careful, we might be studying animals that eat rats," Orabelle cooed, with a faux sweet voice before flipping her hair over her shoulder and smiling sweetly at the professor. She wasn't threatening the girl; she was just reminding her of the reality of the situation. "Nice hair," Orabelle added, glancing at the other girl. Orabelle wasn't exactly a fan of dyed hair, but at least it was purple which meant the girl at least had some taste.
Jessabelle smiled at Gem, "Nice hair." She said, and walked up to the professor. "Here you go." She said, and handed her the survey. "Dragon? Sounds like an awesome name, what do you think Dragon?" She asked him, and pet his little fuzzy head. She smiled, because when she thought about it, Dragon was fierce. "I'm excited for this class, animals are so cute, magical and Muggle." She said, and looked at Dragon, "I'm a little sad, because he's not a talking ferret, but my Mum decided that a ferret that constantly insults you probably isn't a smart idea." She shrugged, because she would have rather had a talking ferret, but a regular one was still pretty cool!

Gem sent the girl a glare, in defense of Jessa and her cute ferret. And then the girl, whose name Gem did not know, commented on her hair. She pressed her hands over the side of her head where her hair was actually visible. She was not sure whether or not the girl was being sarcastic and mean. That was exactly what she was worried about with her hair. She took a deep breath and deliberately turned away from the Slytherin and back to Jessa. "Draco is latin for Dragon," she mused. She knew that, even though she was only a first year, because it was in the motto. "You could name him that." It was a cool name, and a rare name for a ferret. Well, not many people would name their ferret Dragon either, but that was beside the point. Gem stared at Jessa for a couple of moments and blinked. "A talking ferret?" Why on earth would someone want a talking ferret? Gem certainly would not because she avoided anything obviously magic. Which now included herself, unfortunately.

Wandering down to the grounds, he wondered if Penny would come to the class. She didn't care for some of the creatures they'd had, but did like animals... His second favorite class was finally here, so he was happy. Seeing the new professor waiting, he blushed knowing he was probably late. "Sorry professor." he said quickly joining the group.
Entering the grounds, TJ hesitantly came up to the class. But stayed near the outskirts. She was very VERY nervous around these classes. She'd seen everything from flobberworms to a Lethifold! So needless to say she wasn't all that excited for this new class that had been started. Maybe if she was lucky it was a crup or something easy...
Misty smiled at the students as more came down. She glanced at her watch and saw that it was time to start. "Good afternoon students," she said with a cheerful smile. "I am Professor Linea Miston, your new Care of Magical Creatures Professor." Pause. Okay, they probably did not care who she was, and they just wanted to see the animals. "Please follow me to the Creatures building, and we will meet outside of the door marked with three Xs. Come on." She motioned for them to follow her and led the class to the building. She opened the door and waited for them to go inside.
Continue to post here, but post as if they were in the building/in the XXX room
Jessabelle smiled at Gem. "Yeah, Draco's cool, and a lot shorter." She said, and pet the little white ball of fur. She looked around and saw JD approach. "Hey JD, check out what I got from my Mum!" She said, and motioned for him to come over. She wanted Eric here to see the cool pet, but for now, she was happy showing JD. Then the Professor started talking, they were going to see the other creatures? Even the dangerous ones? She put Draco in her pocket and began to walk towards the Creatures building.

What Orabelle hoped was that the over sized rat was fed to one of the creatures they would encounter. She followed the professor silently, her brown hair flying behind her slightly from the chilly air and walking at her pace. "Professor, will we be encountering rodent-eating creatures?" Orabelle asked out loud. Because it would eliminate that disgusting rat quite easily. Plus, the girl would probably get extra credit for feeding the creatures. She stopped outside of the building, hands in her robes pocket. Orabelle didn't want her hands to freeze - gloves or no gloves. She glanced at the two who had walked over a bit late and ignored them. Since when did Orabelle care about late comers? It was their fault that they didn't have a wonderful invention called a watch. How pathetic.
Now... back to deciding how to get rid of the stupid rat.
Linea frowned and sent the Slytherin girl a disapproving look. "Miss Bellamonte, we are nice to each other in this class, and their pets." She turned to the younger Hufflpuff who had the pure white ferret. "He is very pretty miss-uh." Wait, who was she? "And, do not worry, nothing you will be seeing today is violent. Correction, nothing you see today will be able to hurt you." A couple of them could be violent, but they were not usually, or caged. Either way, the students would not get hurt, and pets would not get eaten. "You can put your coats next to the door. Come on, let's go in." She turned the knob and opened the door. Immideately four puppies that looked like Jack Russel Terriors came running toward them. "Don't let them get out of the room," Linea warned. She scooped up the one nearest to her and walked further into the room. "Everyone get in quickly, and do not let the puppies escape. While you're at it, can you tell me their proper name?"
Jessabelle heard the mean Slytherin girl ask about a rodent-eating creature? HOW MEAN?! "My Draco isn't a rat, he's a ferret." She stuck her tongue out at the girl and nodded at the professor. "Yeah, my Mum got him for me for Christmas." Then the Professor didn't know who she was. "Oh, Jessabelle Leroy." She said and smiled. "Professor, those puppies are known as Crups in the Wizarding world." She said, and smiled, quickly walking through the door.

Gemini followed the group toward the building and to the door marked as XXX. She was a little nervous to see a bunch of magical animals, and she wondered if they were more dangerous than muggle animals. She shed her coat by the door, but kept her hat firmly on her head. The part that showed was bad enough; she did not want everyone to see that all of her hair was pale purple. As soon as the door opened Gem was surprised to see that the animals were just dogs, and not magical animals at all. However, she heard Jessa say that they were actually called crups. Gem grabbed one as it tried to dart out the door and carried it into the room. "Professor, they look like dogs."
