You walk in and see many things. To some, they might look strange. You see a rope, with plastic handles on each end. You see a box on its end that reads the name, with a board in front of it, and colorful game pieces. You see a small device, buttons upon it, and a screen, with a song title on it. Lastly, there is one final electronic device. It has buttons with letters on the bottom, and a screen on the top.
Lemur sits at her desk and awaits the kids to arrive.
Alexis smiled the two Hufflepuff's. "Very good, one point each." She replied. Then, she looked at the clock. "Okay, now. I am going to pair you together for a small project. Afterwards, I will give you the homework and you will be dismissed." She said, counting the students. "Hmm. We have an odd number. Is anyone willing to have three in a group?" She asked, looking at the students.
WOOOOOP! Points! Eric beamed and then nodded. So obviously him and Jessa were going to be together. "We're willing." he volunteered them, grinning. Maybe Gemini would join them and Hufflepuff's would rule the world classroom!
Alexis nodded at Mr. Bailey's enthusiasm about being in a group of three, she obviously knew that Mr. Bailey wanted the Hufflepuff's to be together. Well, so be it, this time. "Jessabelle, you will be partnered with Gemini, and Mr. Bailey." She stated, "Come and take two items from the front and find a place to group up." She said. "Mr. Stevenson, you and Ms. Donovan will be partners. Please grab two items from the front and find a place to sit." Alexis waited for the students to respond so she could give them their directions.
"Woohoo!" he grinned, showing his happiness this time. Standing up, he moved to the front and hovered his hand over all of the objects. Hmm, which did they pick? He wanted the music player. Mhmm. He picked it up and smiled at them "Can we?" he asked them, hoping they'd say yes.
Gemini smiled and walked up to the front with Eric and Jessabelle, she was glad she was with them and not some random people she didn't know. She looked at the items. They got two things, right? "We should take the jump rope too," she said quietly.

Looking up as the professor said he being teamed up with Alexandra, he smiled a little in her direction. Please...please...please know something about muggles... He thought silently, hoping he'd not be the only one who knew what he was doing. "What should we pick?" he asked rising from his seat heading to the front.
Jessa nodded as she walked up to the front of the room. "I want the board game." She said, grabbing it and finding a place to sit. She waited for her friends to follow her. Then she looked at the Professor. "So, what exactly are we doing with these?" She asked. Jessa was full of curiosity.
Eric and Jessa He's the head boy, She's the Minister's daughter. Can you say "Perfect Couple"?
As Jessa grabbed the board game, Eric smiled at Gemini, put the music player down and picked up the rope. So now they had the board game and jump rope. Walking over to where Jessa was sitting, he looked back at Gemini to join them.
Alexis clapped her hands together. "Alright class. Take a seat with your group." She told mostly the ones who were being slow. "Now, with the objects you have chosen, play around with them and write down a list of 15 ways each of these objects help muggles." She explained, hoping this project will go well. "After you have handed in your sheet, write down the assignment on the board and you may leave." She said walking to the board.
Quote:
Choose a Muggle Author book. And begin reading Chapters 1 and 2. ONLY these chapters. Then write a 100 word page essay on the first two chapters.
*Note: The book must be at least 250-300 page book. NO EXCEPTIONS
Murmuring to himself as he played with the board game and then read the rules. Making a face as he tried to come up with 5 ways it'd help muggles, he hoped the other two would come up with 5 different ones each. That'd make it a heck of a lot easier for them, right?
Jessa smiled at Eric when he began murmuring to himself. The Professor said 15 things, each? But, what if there isn't 15 ways each of these helps Muggles? She was going to ask. Raising her hand she looked at the board. What a homework assignment. 100 word essay. Sheesh. "Professor, what if you can't find 15 ways each of these helps Muggles? Like the board game, you might find like 5." She said, figuring a board game wouldn't really help a Muggle.
Eric and Jessa He's the head boy, She's the Minister's daughter. Can you say "Perfect Couple"?
Gem didn't think any of the things they had particularily helped muggles in any way, except killing boredom. What else did they have? Oh yeah, she bored game. Gem held the jump rope in her hands and studied it. She raised her hand. "Professor, since our group has two can we do seven reasons for one and eight reasons for the other?"
Then she turned to Eric and Jessa. "Well, I suppose a jump rope could be used for hitting people. Like, if you were being robbed you could take a jump rope and hit them with it." She would hate to be that robber.
Looking up as the professor said he being teamed up with Alexandra, he smiled a little in her direction. Please...please...please know something about muggles... He thought silently, hoping he'd not be the only one who knew what he was doing. "What should we pick?" he asked rising from his seat heading to the front.
As they were paired up, Lexi had glanced at JD and seen his hopeful expression. Uh oh, she thought. Obviosuly he hoped she was knowledgable about the items, but none of them really looked like they had anything to do with her best subject that was anywhere near Muggle-related. Definitely nothing Greek mythology in this lesson, but she'd make do. Plus, she didn't really have a lot of chances to back out, even if she'd been able to. He'd already approached the table, and directed a question towards her. She'd just have to wing it, and hopefully they wouldn't end up with anything really odd.
Following JD up to the table, she smiled a little as she saw Eric setting down the machine with the song listed on it and beelined straight there. "Why don't we take this? Music's not that hard to figure out," she replied, giving the Ravenclaw another smile as she waited to see what he'd pick. She could handle music, although she had a feeling she'd end up just pushing random buttons if anyone asked her to use the machine. Although she was saved from too much worry, there, as Professor Lemur made another announcement confirming that they only had to figure out what the items might be used for, and then basically saying class was dismissed once they'd made a list. She could definitely handle this.
Alexis watched as the students were baffled by the idea of 15 reasons. "Ms. Leroy, if all of your reasons are of entertainment, then so be it, but I believe you should be able to make it to 15." She explained to Jessabelle. Turning to Gemini, she smiled politely. "Ms. Lazar, in my instructions I said 15 reasons each. I want 15 reasons for one of the items, 15 reasons for the other. Do you get what I'm saying?" She asked the class, hoping someone understood her instructions.
"Yes, I know," Gemini said to Professor Lemur. She was trying to be polite, and she was pretty sure it was working. She was almost always nice to people, especially adults. Especially teachers. "I just meant that every other group has one item, but ours has two. So I was wondering if we could split the fifteen reasons between the two of them." But she had already received an answer, so Gem turned back to Jessa and Eric. She grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil. This was Muggle Studies, so they should be using muggle things right? Right. She began to write.
1. Jumping 2. Hitting people 3. Giving as gifts 4. lassoing 5. Climbing
That was for the jump rope, obviously. Let the other two come up with their own ideas. She studied the board game and began writing.
1. Playing the game 2. Using fake money to play house with your little siblings 3. As a plate 4. Hitting people 5. Winning
That worked, didn't it? She was out of ideas for that one. Gem slid her paper over to Jessa and Eric to see what she had come up with.

Grinning at her choice, JD nodded "Perfect." Looking at the last item on the table, he shrugged, "The computer is ours I think." picking it up to carry back. "I think this will make it easy, and fun te." he said nodding sitting nearer to Lexi. He was glad that at least she didn't look too confused, at the items...so far anyway. "Now, what can the two be used for? Schoolwork, playing games, writing letters, email..." he muttered jotting down what he said.
Glancing over at the video game, "Music?" he asked lifting an eyebrow. It had just finally clicked, at what she'd said at the front. "I thought that was a video game..."
Jessabelle looked at her paper, then the items, and back at the paper. She had no clue what to put down! She didn't use any of these in the Wizarding world. After running a hand through her red curls, she sighed and began rubbing her temples. "I just don't know anything about this Muggle stuff, there is no way I am going to pass this class!" She tried hard not to raise her voice, but couldn't help throwing her hands up in exasperation. She was clueless on what to do!
Eric and Jessa He's the head boy, She's the Minister's daughter. Can you say "Perfect Couple"?
Listening to everything that went on, Eric nodded and sat in silence, pondering. Reading what Gem had written, he nodded. Hmm. Writing more for the skipping rope, he frowned slightly.
6. Component in other games 7. Tripping people 8. Reaching things 9. Creating line art on the floor 10. Exercising
Hmm. Seemed to be good enough! Now the board game list.
6. Losing the game 7. Pretending to be really rich 8. Cheating 9. As a mat 10. As a trap cover
That was good enough, no? No. Jessa was frustrated now. "You will pass." he smiled "Just think about anything you can do without using your wand." he pushed the paper to her and nodded encouragingly.
Jessabelle looked at the list again and took a deep breath, took the stick with black stuff on it, and began to write..
11. Separating space from someone. 12. Whipping people (Because it's not the same as hitting people) 13. Use it as a scarf 14. Make a necklace out of it 15. Threaten people with
WHEW! One down, And Jessa's head already hurt again...really badly. Now for the Game board.
11. Throw game pieces at each other 12. Eating (If it's an edible game board) 13. Use it as a pillow 14. Tie with someone 15. As a tray to carry food
She sighed a deep sigh of relief, and frowned at Eric. "But what if I don't pass?" She said in desperation. "I'm no good at Muggle Studies! I've never been any good at anything to do with Muggle's." Jessa said and lied her head on the desk. She had a horrible headache. Then she looked at the stick that wrote magically, heh, get it? Looking at her two fellow Hufflepuff friends, she thought for a second then asked, "What is that weird stick? And why did it write?" She asked, and felt stupid for askeing, because a part of her felt it should be obvious. But Jessa...was clueless.
