Green fingers? Then this is the place for you! Come on in and take a place at the workbench.
True, the whole of the greenhouse is bathed in light tinted with green, but this doesn't mean it's just for Slytherins - In fact, Slytherins are the least likely to be found in here! If you do work in here and do a very good job, you may get extra credit! Just be sure to put your name on the bottom of the pot you're working with by using a sticking charm and the teachers will check every evening who's done work and will give points accordingly.
Please leave this room as you would wish to find it, but if you're a student intent on ruining it, please turn around and walk back out of the door.

Gemini was freaking out. When she had woken up everything had started out fine and normal. She went about her business fixing her orange hair when she realized something with a panic. Her hair was not orange. Her hair was a pale purpley pink color. Do not get her wrong; she liked the color purple, but she did not want that to be the color of her hair. She had gotten dressed faster than she ever had before in her life and ran down to the greenhouse. She was hoping it would be warm there; since it was Christmas Day and there was snow on the ground. Gemini needed to be by herself, and she needed something to do to keep her mind off of her hair before she worked up the nerve to talk to someone about it.
Jessabelle decided to walk to the Greenhouses, for whatever reason, it was oblivious to her, she just felt like going to the Greenhouses. Seeing a strange girl with purple-ish hair, her head tilted to one side. This was a strange girl, she looked weird, because her hair was purple O.o "Hello?" She said, looking at the strange girl.
Eric and Jessa He's the head boy, She's the Minister's daughter. Can you say "Perfect Couple"?

Gemini was startled when someone came into the greenhouse. For a moment she panicked; because she did not want anyone to see her. But Gemini relaxed a little when she saw that it was just Jessabelle. If there was anyone in that school that she could call a friend it was Jessa. She needed someone to talk to, so maybe it could be the older girl. "H-hello Jessa," she said softly, trying unsuccessfully to hide behind a rather large plant.
Looking at t he strange girl when she talked, Jessa realized that the voice was familiar. She saw as the purple head was trying to hide. "Gem?" She asked, moving the plant. "What happened?" She asked, with concern. Her friend had purple hair, that was a bit unusual, maybe that stupid Marco kid put some sort of prank in something Gem ate at the ball, though Jessa doubted it, seeing as he was a bloody first year who only just found out about magic. Perhaps it was JD, that seemed like something JD would do.

Gemini looked at Jessa with terrified deperation in her eyes. She could not help it; she started crying. She sat down right there on the floor of the greenhouse. "Jessa; I have no idea what happened. I woke up and my hair was like this." She lifted up a strand of her pale pinkish hair and showed it to Jessa, though she knew that the girl could clearly see her entire head of pink hair. "It's purple Jessa! Purple!" It was more of a pale pinkish purple, but that was not what mattered the most.
Jessabelle slid down and sat next to Gem. She knew this must be hard. "I bet it was a prank, or maybe aliens...." She shrugged, you never know. There could be aliens flying around in a blue spaceship that disguised itself as a police box. (wow, olden times). "I see that your hair is purple....we will just have to...ummm....."She thought for a moment, then yelled AHA! "We will just have to un-purple it!" She wasn't sure how, but maybe a teacher or older kid would.

"Aliens?" Gem squeaked, because just the suggestion terrified her. Aliens were scary; they were green and they had huuuuge eyes. There were already ghosts at Hogwarts, and now there were Aliens added to that mix? She was not sure if she wanted to stay there any longer if there were mean ghosts dropping water on her head and mean Aliens turning her hair purple. And then Jessa said they would un-purple her hair? Was that even a word? Oh, she didn't care. "How are we going to do that?" Gem sniffed, but the tears had stopped falling.
Jessabelle tried hard not to laugh, "Gem, Aliens aren't real. I was joking, it'snot like I go to Maaaaaars every other day." She laughed this time because of the way she said Maaaaaaaaaars. Heh. ANYWAYS, Jessa looked at Gem and her purple hair, and shrugged, "Honestly, I have no clue. Maybe we could go to an older student? A Professor? They would know what to do." She said, and gave Gem a warm smile. Jessa took out a hankercheif and wiped Gem's tears, "Stop crying, Gem."

Really? Aliens were not real? How could Jessa know that? Ghosts were real, so that meant that Aliens could be too? Oh well, at least it meant that there were not any at Hogwarts...yet. "No," Gemini protested. "I do not want to go to an older student; I do not want anyone to see me with freakish hair." Not even a professor. The stubborn first year cross her arms over her chest and did not move from her spot on the ground of the greenhouse.
Jessa looked at Gem, who crossed her arms. "Well we have to find some way to get your hair back to normal." She said, and grabbed Gem's arm. "Now, we are going to see someone or I will bring them to you." She said, and started pulling Gem from her little corner.

"I know," Gem said sadly. She just did not want anyone to see her. "I do not want anyone to see me," she insisted to Jessa. She bit her lip, because Jessa had a good point. She could not get her hair back to normal unless she let someone help her. "It would be better if someone came here," she said in a small voice. She did not want to walk around Hogwarts with purple hair.
Jessa bit her lip, "I think the Headmaster would know what to do, I'll find her, okay?" She said, smiling at Gem. "Just stay here. And I'll be back with the Headmaster." Jessa said, and got up from the ground, and brushed off the dirt that was on her pants.

Gemini sniffed again as Jessabelle ran out of the greenhouses. Slowly, she got to her feet and began wandering around as she waited. Against the far wall she found pots, fertilizers, and seeds. She sat down on the bench and selected a pot. She filled it with the dirt and when there was enough she put a couple of seeds in. She had no idea what would grow; hopefully it would not be something that could possibly eat her.
Walking down the paths to the hut she heard some talking coming from the gardens. As she came closer she heard one of them sniffling like they were crying! Detouring towards the green houses Stef decided to at least check it out, and make sure everything was alright. Bundling her robes more around her she stepped into the gardens. She didn't see anyone immediately and called out "Hello?"
Til now I always got by on my own. I never really cared until I met you. alone And now it chills me to the bone. How do I get you?
Jessabelle came running back into the Greenhouses, out of breath. "Gem, I couldn't find the-" She was cut off when she looked up to see the Headmistress standing there. "Um, we have a slight problem, Professor." She motioned towards Gem, and her still purple hair. "Gem's hair is purple, and none of us know why." She shrugged, looking at Gem. "We were thinking maybe you would know why her hair is purple."

Gemini heard footsteps and an unfamiliar voice. No, that was not completely true; the voice sounded vaguely familiar. She stood up from the bench and walked back over to where she had been before Jessa left. She saw none other than the Headmistress herself standing there, and Jessa came running in right behind her. "My hair is purple," she said in desperation. Jessa had already said it, but Gem was the one who's hair had turned purple.
Finally seeing the two girls as they came running up to her, she saw the fear in the younger ones eyes. "Hmmm, this hasn't before I'm sure then?" she said nodding, it could very well have been Peeve's and one of his tricks then! "Let's see if we can change it back. If it was a charm or even Peeves playing a practical joke this will stop the color and it'll go back to normal." she said gently.
Taking out her wand she waved it over Gem "Finite Incantatem."

Gemini breathed a sigh of relief when the Headmistress said that she could fix it. She stood still eagerly and hoped desperately that whatever she was doing would work. Gemini squeezed her eyes shut as she said the charm, and a few seconds later she dared to open them. Gem picked up a strand of her hair and held it in front of her face to see the color. It was still purple! "Why didn't it work?" Gemini frowned.
Wrinkling her brow she tilted her head a little to the side. "Well, it could be something else, maybe a potion would take care of." Reholstering her wand she slipped her sleeve back down over her wrist. "That's something Professor Petrova might know more about. But first let's try something else. Gemini have you tried changing it back?"
Catching herself she added quickly, before the Gem flipped out or started crying "I mean concentrated on the color you wish it to be." It was a long shot but it wasn't too uncommon for the ability to show itself later in the preteens.

Gemini looked at the professor with a scared look on her face, but she did not say anything. What if they could never change her hair back? What if it stayed purple forever? She looked shocked at the suggestion to try and change it back herself. How on earth was she supposed to do that? Well, she supposed that it was worth a shot. Gem scrunched her eyes shut and concentrated really hard on her hair turning back to its normal color. Slowly, parts of it began changing, but Gemini would not know because she still had her eyes firmly shut. "Did it work?" She was almost afraid to ask, because she would be frightened no matter what the answer was.
Jessa watched as the Headmistress tried to make Gemini's hair back to it's shiny orange. When the Headmistress suggested that she change it back she tilted her head. "But, Professor, that's absurd." She said, and watched as Gem's hair suddenly changed back. Jessa had to try extremely hard not to scream. "Why did her hair just do that?!"

A soft smile appearing, it appeared that she had been correct. "Did JD ever tell either of you about being a metamorphamagus?" she asked quietly, guiding them over to one of the benches and sitting down. "A metamorphmagus appears once in awhile, usually shows the abilities when a young witch or wizard is young. But it isn't uncommon for them to be older either."
Laughing lightly she shook her head "Thomas Kane I believed was as about 43 when his abilities appeared!" Looking seriously at Gem, she smiled "It's not the end of the world to have this happen, maybe you might find a book on what a metamorphmagi can do." winking at her she added "You might even have some fun with it."

Gemini opened her eyes when she heard Professor Gerlovich start talking. She picked up a strand of hair and saw that it was back to it's normal orange. She followed her over to a bench with a frightened look on her face. "Professor, what's a metamorphamagus?" It was a long and complicated word; it was hard to pronounce. She had no idea if she had said it right, but quite frankly she did not really care.
Smiling gently at the child "It's an witch or wizard who has the ability to change their appearance at will." Nodding to the girls hair, she went on "Like your hair it changed to purple. JD has mentioned that if he is ill it may change to a almost translucent, but if he's happy it'll be bright blue, or red when mad." Sitting back against the bench, she crossed one leg over the other "It can be fun though, changing your nose shape or even making your hair longer or shorter."
"For the rest of us without the ability we need charms or transfiguration spells to do so. For you all you need to do is concentrate on what you want to change and it will."
