Character Info:

Name:
Blanche LeBeau

Age:
26

Hobbies/Passions/Interests (no lists please) :
Blanche grew up in the country and still has a passion for horse-riding. She won a silver medal in horse-riding when she was younger and although she has stopped participating in competitions, she still goes riding often. Besides horse-riding, Blanche enjoys curling up on the couch with a thick book, more often than not a romance novel or thriller, and spending the next few hours engrossed in her book. Blanche also likes to cook and is very good at baking cakes.

Physical Appearance:
Blanche inherited her looks from her mother and looks almost identical to her. She has pale skin, wavy dark brown hair which falls to her waist and bright green eyes. Her closet is full of dresses, jackets, blouses and skirts. Blanche was given the nickname 'Princess' in her school days because she always dressed impeccably and never had a hair out of place. She was also talked about among the boys in her school, as she had sexual appeal even at sixteen.

Personality:
Although she might seem like a cold individual to someone who doesn't know her well, Blanche has a kind heart. She often kept her emotions to herself when she was younger but opened up more after a devastating accident in her seventh year. She likes working with people and finds it easy to get along with others.

Background information:
Blanche LeBeau was born in Paris, France to James LeBeau and his unmarried mistress Elizabeth. Elizabeth died soon after before she and James could wed. The Lebeaus were outraged that James could get a woman pregnant without marrying her and James found himself on a ship to London with an illegitimate four-month old child in his arms, and a three year-old boy beside him. That was Cameron, Blanche's half-brother, whose mother had died only a few months back.

James, Cameron and Blanche lived in a small apartment near Kings' Cross Station until Blanche turned six, when they moved to a house in the countryside, where Blanche and Cameron had a horse named Anna. Blanche enjoyed riding her horse and Cameron was the one who taught his baby sister how to ride. Despite this, Blanche was a sickly child and had weak lungs and asthma. She never recovered fully and to this day still has occasional coughing fits.

When Cameron turned 11, he was sent off to Hogwarts and Blanche stayed at the neighbourhood school, wondering when she could see her brother again. She never really got close to the other children, as they were all childhood friends and she had spent most of her earlier years at home due to her illness. A boy gave her the nickname 'Snow Queen' because she was always so distant and to the small children, she seemed so cold-hearted and selfish.

This carried on for 3 years until Blanche also got admitted to Hogwarts, and made it into Gryffindor. By now, Cameron was a fourth-year Hufflepuff and his studies along with his new girlfriend Jeanne, kept him busy and away from Blanche. The girl who waited 3 years for her brother to play with her once more grew even more distant as her brother started to push her away.

Blanche was extremely good at Charms and her professor asked her if she would take over him when he retired. She smiled and replied that she would. The two of them were very close and the professor, despite the fact that he could be her father, became like a brother to Blanche. In her fifth year, she got top grades in her OWLs and scored full marks in her Charms OWL, a feat she is very proud of. Blanche continued to excel in her classes and was even made a prefect in her 5th year. To many, she was the image of a 'perfect student' and in a way she was.

By now, Cameron had graduated and was training to be an auror. Blanche started to lose the coldness she had felt towards her brother and started to feel a familiar, long-lost sense of pride as she received letters from him detailing the gruelling training.

In her sixth year, Blanche found herself pursued by various guys from the four houses. She dated a few of them but the relationships never lasted long. In the middle of her sixth year, she found herself with a handsome Slytherin in the year above her. It was a forbidden romance between a Gryffindor and Slytherin and to the sixteen-year-old romantic, it was the ultimate dream-come-true. They met in the middle of the night and Blanche was confident that no one would find out and that once she had graduated, they could start a peaceful family away from the stereotypes. She was wrong.

On the train ride to Hogwarts during her seventh year, Blanche found herself come close to being beaten to death by several Slytherin girls. They were in her grade and had found out about her affair with their senior. They left her bleeding in a compartment, her leg slightly sprained and her wrist broken. Blanche was traumatised and spent most of that year in the Hospital Wing. She started to avoid the other students and withdrew into herself. The Ice Queen was appearing again.

Blanche's charms teacher was deathly worried about her and he consoled her. Many a time she cried into his shoulder as he soothed her with kind words. Eventually, she got better and started to revert back into her old self. In fact, she became more determined to stay cheerful and was smiling more than ever, joking with her friends, her loud laugh filling the Gryffindor seventh years' dormitory.

At the end of her seventh year, Blanche graduated from Hogwarts with top grades in all of her subjects. She found herself with many opportunities ahead and yet, she was lost. Her brother was now so busy that once more he was rarely around her, her father was getting older and seemed to be getting sicker day by day. Her 'true love' was also unreachable and Blanche found herself wondering if he had just been toying with her. In that same year, her father was mistakenly killed by death eaters. On a spilt decision based on revenge, and being determined to see Cameron, Blanche applied to be an auror.

She finished the auror course as one of its best students and almost immediately was known as one of its best. She indeed was an exceptional auror and specialised in defensive charms. When she was 24, she found herself fighting a large group of death eaters. The one she was fighting seemed reluctant to shoot severe spells at her and she took the opportunity to kill him in one stroke. She had learned that putting your emotions first on the battlefield could prove deadly. Sadly, this was true for the death eater. He was Blanche's old flame. She quit her job as an auror, her heart once again unsure of what to do.

When she was 25, Blanche got involved with a man almost twice her age. She found herself pregnant with a child and once her child was born, she named the small girl Julie. Blanche was now in the same predicament as her father was 24 years ago. Where could she go? Her father was dead, her friends had gotten distant from her, her relatives definitely wouldn't take her in and Cameron was busy with his wife and young boy.

She remembered her old teacher saying that he wanted her to take over his post and she remembered agreeing. Biting her lip, Blanche prepared herself to start the journey to Hogwarts. She was hoping that she could get the job, and that Julie could stay with her in the castle as she taught.

((Is that alright? :$ ))

Additionally, you probably know Kerry here at least in passing. He went through Auror training, but the ministry ended up not hiring him, at least in part because he's minus a leg. He's about the same age as your character, so they would have been in the academy at the same time, and at hogwarts, etc. Her asthma must not be too much of a problem any more? If she managed to work as an aurora?

Thanks for telling me that, Kailith! I guess I'll have your nanny watch Julie since now I'm not sure how Blanche could look after her daughter while teaching. Thank you for offering her services! ;)

About Blanche and Kerry, I guess that they were either in the same class or Blanche was Kerry's senior. They probably ran into each other a few times during Auror training, but during Hogwarts, I'm not sure if they knew each other, because they could have been in different Houses. Also, Blanche's asthma has indeed cleared up and she rarely gets asthma attacks anymore.

Well, they were in the same house, and within a year of each other, so surely they know each other, although probably not well, Kerry kept to himself more than not.
