Waiting For Kailith

Kerry leaned back against one of the pillars just outside the front door of Hogwarts, hoping Kailith had gotten his owl. He was damned hungry, and he'd be rather irritated if he stood here for ages with his stomach growling if she wasn't planning on showing up. Of course he wasn't snarked with her yet, but an empty stomach tended to make him more pessimistic in nature. He waited for her as patiently as he could manage though.

Kailith slipped up behind Kerry and let out an exuberant "HEY!!" as she got right on him, before quickly snaking her arm through his.

"I hope I didn't keep you waiting long love, I just received your owl. I was out in the greenhouses trying to breed my kinyo with my insks. But enough about that, I'm starving!" She said as she began tugging on his arm.

Kerry jumped slightly and laughed, letting Kailith take his arm. "You lost me at 'breeding'," Kerry grinned, escorting her along the path towards town. "And no, you're right on time, I'm just hungry. You'd think I had a hollow leg or something..." He smirked. Hey, if he didn't make fun of himself, people would actually think he took life seriously.

It was a bit breezy and Kerry tossed his head a bit, trying to keep his flyaways out of his face. "How are classes going? Is Shay behaving herself? As far as I've heard she hasn't been in trouble at all so far, and that makes me nervous. She is related to me after all. Us O'Seanaughseys aren't known for our good behavior. Being known for our good looks, brilliance, and modesty was more than enough."

(( let it be known that I truly am evil, as made evident by the fact that this is post 666 :D ))

Kailith laughed at his joke about his leg. She knew deep down it bothered him sometimes when he met new people and the topic of his leg came up. But she also knew it helped for him to joke about it.

"That would be kind of awesome though. You could use it as an extra pocket and store all kinds of things in there. Imagine the look on people's faces when they ask to borrow a pen and you take your leg off, reach in and give them one." She laughed hysterically at this thought.

When the conversation turned to Shane and the qualities of the O'Seanaughseys she rolled her eyes. "Yeah but what about the stubbornness, pigheadedness and overall cocky attitude?" She said teasingly. "Shane is doing very well though from what I hear. As long as she doesn't plan a student revolt against the headmaster for his no quidditch thing, we'll be okay."

"Waaay more trouble then it's worth," Kerry chuckled. His leg, was of course, not hollow at all. In fact his prosthetic was just the metal structure, he didn't even wear the padding over it that made it look like a "real" leg. He didn't see the point. It wasn't a real leg, and anyone who took a second to look would know.

"Also all O'Seanaughsey traits," he agreed with a nod. "You forgot to mention our sexual prowess though." He smirked. "Though, you'd have to ask my brothers about that. I'm considering joining the priesthood, you know, just to make my celibacy official." Kerry rolled his eyes. He'd pretty much given up on dating. One could only handle so much rejection after all.

"That's just the thing, though, I'm afraid the fact that she hasn't been in trouble means that she IS planning a a revolt of the student body. I probably would have been. Either that, or some major practical joke that I could expect a lifetime of detention for." Kerry's expression grew a little bit more serious.

Kailith laughed when he mentioned his family's 'sexual prowess' and removed her arm long enough to reach down and playfully pinch Kerry's bottom. "Well that wouldn't be a problem for you if wouldn't have switched sides on me. I still say I was the best thing to ever happen to you," She said with a wink. She was joking of course. The truth was her and Kerry made much better friends than lovers.

When the conversation turned back to Shane, Kailith took Kerry's arm again and squeezed it gently. "Quit being such a worrywart Kerry. How many times do I have to tell you? Besides, if she did start a revolt chances are you'd be right there beside her." And that was the truth.

"Oy, hands off the merchandise!" Kerry laughed as Kailith pinched his rear. "That's a national treasure, you know." He did have a nice... rear view... so to speak, but national treasure miiiiight have been over stating the matter a bit. "It wasn't so much a matter of switching teams as realizing I'd managed to start on the wrong one," he chuckled.

"Speaking of sport metaphors for sex... How's Dale?" he asked with a sly look. He even managed to drop the subject of Shay, which he was very worried about indeed, in favor of teasing his friend.
