"That was, in fact, my third question. If I could be the advisor for dueling club. After all, it is my line of expertise," Kerry winked. Well, the headmaster was certainly canny. In fact, Kerry, who was rather proud of his own intellect, was pretty sure he'd been out-foxed. It was rare that he was totally and completely wrong about a situation, but he had been this time.

"I figured that would be the easiest to answer. You've put my mind greatly at ease... however, I suspect my sister will still be quite slagged at you," Kerry's lips twitched a bit. "Try not to take it personally, temper and rebellion seem to be connected to the genes that causes red hair blue eyes and freckles." Shay was more of a strawberry blonde, but still.

"I'm happy to have been able to clear things up for you, Kerry. I might be a bit hard-nosed when it comes to my job, but I'm far from unreasonable. At least that's what I like to think."

A smile broke Alex's usually stern appearance at the mention of Kerry's sister.

"I wouldn't expect anything less from the Irish. I've already come to terms with the fact that not everyone is going to like me. And if I can be cause for her brushing up on her hexing skills, I will have accomplished something."

Kerry smiled and chuckled softly. "Well, you know, if the students are plotting against you, at least they aren't plotting against each other. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, after all." He was still worried what Shay was going to come up with. She was smart, had a fairly impressive set of brass ones, and surely had picked up some of the paramilitary training and strategy that was part of the O'Seanaughsey legacy.

"Well that's all I had for the moment, headmaster. Thank you for meeting with me. I'm glad to say this didn't go at all like I'd expected." Kerry said genuinely, offering his hand to the headmaster.

"Excellent point Professor. And I'm all for school unity." Alex said with a hint of laughter in his otherwise stern voice. He shook Kerry's hand firmly and nodded as the man spoke.

"Anytime. Thank you for having the gall to stand up to me. I admire that in a person. Particularly someone I put in charge of my students. Enjoy the rest of the term, and if you have any further questions or concerns Kerry, my door is always open."
