How did I love thee? Let me count the ways.... Ran out of fingers. Okay, so I loved the art for starters. I mean...what couldn't I love about it? The lines are pure, crisp, and confident, and the characters are each nicely-illustrated to give off a sense of individuality. None of them look the same in any regard, other than being human (or aliens wearing human skins XP). Just the first look at the first cell of the first page, and you know you've seen quality art on the rise. Now, if you've known me for any length of time, then I've probably shared with you that I loooooooooove shoujo-ai stories! This is no exception. Other than the length (I always wish for yuri to be longer), the story is simple and sweet, just enough to get that happy *tingle* up your spine. There's not much to the five or so pages, but what's there is a lovely moral of ever-lasting friendship and love. Even better is that Vatina pulled together this short by not utilizing any dialog whatsoever. You read it for what it is, and you can make your own interpretation. A simple concept to be sure, but pulled off brilliantly nonetheless. Other than the length though, I really can't see anything to complain about at all. Unless you're not a fan of the genre (what are you doing reading this?), there's really no downside, and nothing but positives. For all my brothers and sisters-in-arms out there, know that it's a little slice of shoujo-ai heaven! Little indeed, but a slice of it no matter how you look at it. 5 stars out of five.

This probably comes as no surprise--I like most of the stuff you do anyway. |
