How to Tank Bandos General Graardor is "A huge war chief," and so he packs a powerful punch. Literally. His melee attack hits 60s, and so you obviously want to use protect from melee on him. Better yet, he has a range attack that hits 35. But, luckily, General Graardor only melees the first one to attack him! With this knowledge, a simple solution can be derived. We need a tank. Someone with high range defence and lots of food that can outlast General Graardor for many kills. Using this guide, you can master the art of the tank and hopefully get some nice loot off of General Graardor. NECESSARY STATS FOR TANKING: 90 or higher defence, 99 preferred. 90 or higher hitpoints, 99 preferred. 70 or higher prayer, Anything higher is suitable. The ability to play Runescape for 2+ hours doing the same thing, although it is more fun than you may think ^_^. This Guide may not be entirely correct, Bandos was changed a while ago so that if someone takes an agressive familiar, it switches to that person so be careful The gear and basic strategy is shown, but i will explain it here. ![]() This gives great bonuses and keeps your prayer up. Now, as shown in the video, you want to be slightly south and east of the northwest corner of the room. This gives you an excellent viewpoint at the Generals spawnpoint and minimizes dancing. While tanking, you want to always position yourself next to either Seargant Grimspike or Seargant Steelwill, in order to use your guthans spear on him. You will want to occasionally attack Graardor with the spear to be sure that he doesn't attack one of your other teammates, but healing is also important. Once the minion you are attacking is low hp, move to the other option, and continue healing on him. This is to ensure that he does not respawn at full health, aka saving hp and prayer for whoever gets the last hit on Graardor. Once Graardor is dead, kill Seargant Steelwill and then Grimspike, and then have whoever got the last hit pray melee as the tank heals off of Strongstack, the melee minion. As you get later in the trip, you will have more inventory space, and so you can pick up more bones. Do so. Get a decent amount of bones and go ahead and use your tabs for extra food, which at times is useful to brew eat. From Chilledchill: one question tho have noticed whilst i have been on kills with you and it shows in the vid - any reason as to why you heal off the archer then mage whilst you under attack from graador? - is it just the simple reasons of they are prolly lower to melle attacks so you heal off them better and that the melle walks about there for dangerous cos the bog bad guys may switch who he is attacking Yes, the main reason I attack them is to prevent dancing with Graardor. Dancing is annoying to your fellow teammates and also makes Graardor swap targets more often. Minimize dancing!!!! Overall, tanking bandos is a difficult task and very few people like to do it. But it is needed. I hope that you got a good idea on what to do, and feel free to post improvements and to tell me to clarify things. |
